I've been curious about this space for sometime and I'm glad I finally got to come in. They have great weekly specials like $1 tacos on taco Tuesday! They also have a variety of taco flavors that are standard and then some that are creative like chicken tikka and Korean beef. The space itself is large with multiple rooms including an indoor patio with large windows that open up. I love the plants. It adds a nice touch. They also have a salsa bar with a variety of different salsas. They have alcoholic beverages. The manager/owner was handling orders and was very pleasant. He checked in on tables and made sure that I enjoyed my food. They have a small parking lot. I'll def be back!

This place has amazing food and hot salsa bar with pickles zanahorias aka carrots and jalapeños. It's my personal favorite. Staff members were friendly and helpful, they offered suggestions and were very accommodating when we asked if they could add fries to our "dinner" order vs the rice and beans. The space is clean and accommodating, but the hubby and I were talking about how it felt like a work cafeteria. It's quiet, you only hear them cooking up the food and the heater turn on and off. There is no music and I think it needs it to make it feel "fun". Don't get me wrong, we love eating here and has become one of our taco spots for sure. But i personally wouldn't mind a little Bad Bunny, Reggaeton, Bachata and Cumbia to help the atmosphere in there. It would definitely make this spot feel alive.

We liked it. Will be back when in the area. Such good food! The women's bathroom need attention though. We stopped by after a show around the corner at the theater and were pleased because it was one of the few things open at 9 PM on a Wednesday last week!

What a find! Being from Southern California, I have had a lot of great Mexican food and I am leery of trying it in places far from Mexico. This place is a fusion of mostly Mexican food with some creative international spins on things like chicken tikka, Korean beef and Nashville hot chicken tacos. From the chips and various salsas to the mains and sides, this place delivers on flavor! It's a fairly small space that fills up with people. You can order at the counter or through the kiosk and they deliver the food to your table.

Don't download the app. They say you get 7 dollars off your first order and then you download that slop and still have to spend 33 of your hard earned dollars on overpriced tacos. They're tacos not Michelin plates! A dm. Taco shouldn't be almost 6 bucks after taxes. Ridiculous.

Unique fusion of Indian and Mexican flavors. Tried the tikka chicken and spicy potato tacos which were a little dry but the loaded waffle fries were amazing.

Taco Maya was the perfect little spot to grab some really good tacos and reprieve from the outside heat on a recent visit to Chicago. Like most places in the city there isn't much parking but they do have a surface lot that offered several spots. The inside is cute and simply decorated and the team member that greeted us was patient as we asked questions and made our selections. We decided on the pork carnitas tacos, Al pastor tacos, queso blanco dip, a modelo, and a spicy jalapeño margarita. Let me first start off my saying I am now team Spicy Marg!!! Omg so good! The carnitas were perfectly flavorful without being dry and the pastor meat was properly marinated with the right touch of sweet, each perfectly accompanied with lime juice. There was no need for sauce although they have many to choose from. We also had their cheese dip and chips and salsa. The chips are seasoned and quite tasty and the salsa is served warm which was different, not bad just different. All and all, I'd visit Taco Maya again for a quick bite that is flavorful and doesn't weigh you down!

I've been to their South Loop location and was happy to see they now have a Lincoln Park location! I highly encourage to dine in because they have an awesome sauce bar! Love me all the sauces! It's free and you help yourself. Perfect for someone who likes mild and someone who likes the painful spicy! The place is probably the cleanest and nice decorated fast food taco place you'll ever find. I order the 3 taco dinner with rice. The steak was a bit dry otherwise it was tasty with the Mexican and American toppings plus their sauces. The rice needed more flavor! Almost tasted like plain white rice. I'll come back because of that sauce bar and the convenient of getting here.

the tacos were great, awesome variety.
 rice and beans? forgettable tho

Have done delivery a couple times now. Chips and Salsa were good, like the salsa with a good mix of spicy and smoky Rice & Beans were not good, I never end up eating them even though they come with the three taco order Tacos - Chingon is amazing, so good, awesome - Nolito - good fish taco, nice slice of avo in there too - Steak - good but not great, kinda standard Will definitely order again!

The corn tortillas were so soft and delicious! The plate was presented beautifully and everything tasted fresh. I did not like the ground beef it was greasy but the carnitas was juicy. All the sauces were flavorful and I love how they give you complimentary warm salsa, warm chips. They also offer free refills on all the fountain and horchata/hibiscus tea. The prices at Taco Maya are affordable, my total was $20.42 with tip included. Great Customer Service as well, and clean restaurant.

We've got a new favorite taco spot in in town! My husband placed an order online for pick up, and on the car ride over they actually gave us a call to ask for clarification on the order. This was such a nice touch, and showed they really care about giving customers the best experience possible. Our order was packaged nicely and everything was still fresh by the time we got home. I ordered two chicken tinga tacos and a quesadilla. On the quesadilla, I added grilled veggies and fresh jalapenos. Everything was so fresh!! I love the ability to customize your order (corn vs flour tortillas, taco toppings, etc). For my husband who's a cilantro hater....this is really great. The chicken tinga tacos were nicely marinated, juicy, and fresh! We've already ordered for pick up again since our first visit. We are obsessed!! If you're in the neighborhood, definitely give Taco Maya a try. The tacos are so fresh and there is something for everyone!

This little place was delightful. The space was clean and bright with super friendly staff. We were a little confused if it was a table service or counter service, but it appears to be the best of both worlds. We sat and our server was a delight. But you can help yourself to a very clean salsa bar. So, hypothetically, no one will judge you if you go back for thirds on their amazing tomatillo salsa. The Indian fusion tacos were excellent. The Mocktail used juices that were prepared in house. We will definitely be going back - with the kids and for another date night.

Once we checked in with the hostess for our reservation we waited ~10 minutes to be seated and quickly greeted by our waiter Guillermo (so sweet and very friendly). We ordered our adult beverages (both very refreshing and tasty especially on a hot summer day) and flautas as an appetizer. The flautas are definitely big enough to share or as an entree. Guillermo provided great food selections and we decided on the quesabirrias and Molcajete. We were both silent for the first 5 minutes because we were enjoying our meal...the flavors were exquisite! Make sure to make a reservation...this was at 5:15 on a Saturday and it was packed! Walk-ins were definitely waiting for a table. I must admit that I had low expectations because quite frankly, I have not enjoyed Mexican food outside of Mexico or California. However, we were hungry, and it was near where we were staying, so I decided we should check it out, and I am so glad we did! The food was great. Both adults and the VERY picky children in our group all enjoyed our meals. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas and the other adult ordered a chile relleno combo, which I also got to try. Everything was delicious and devoured by all! We were so full but the owner talked us into the chocoflan, and we did not regret trying it. It was soooo good! Speaking of the owner, the service was great. We really enjoyed how he and the rest of the staff were very courteous. It is a small establishment, and it gets a good amount of people, so I assume that there are waits during peak hours. I highly recommend Sabroso! And we plan to return the next time we are in the area.

Their guacamole is pretty good and can come loaded with a lot of toppings. I recommend getting them on the side so it's not overwhelming the flavor of the guac itself. The chips were a little stale and extra hard. I had the crispy eggplant griddle and it was good. I could have used a little more spice but the side of salsa verde helped. The churro sundae was the best part of the meal. We also tried the plantains for dessert (simple but pretty good). I did the pineapple spicy marg which was their seasonal one and it was also pretty good. Friends got their steak which looked good. And their pozole looked the best. That's what I would try if I came back. Their service was aggressive... clearing plates as people hurriedly grabbed the last bite off of them, interrupting conversations. But they did check back on us frequently. It's a little small and the footprint is a little awkward. We got the one table for our larger group (10) and needed the reservation to add some predictably into the night. Was it good? Yeah, decent. Would I go back? It's not a no, but there are other more magnificent places in the area. It's Chicago after all.
