I was in a bit of a emergency and Steve went out of his way to service my car even though he was busy. I had a long drive ahead of me and he DID NOT disappoint. Some wiring on my car (computer part for service engine diagnostics) had been chewed by rats and the part needed would've taken days to arrive. So you know what he did? He literally BUILT THE PART and added new wiring HIMSELF! Just WOW! I was a bit nervous about this but thanks to him the computer part of my car is working properly and giving off proper diagnostics. Steve went OUT OF HIS WAY to do this for me and even stayed later then his closing time. Not only this but the cost for the work and labor he did was BEYOND reasonable and affordable. If you are looking for a mechanic that is LOYAL, TRUTHFUL, and GIVES IT TO YOU STRAIGHT then this is the mechanic you want to see. I am grateful to have met him and even after I left and had questions, Steve made sure to respond promptly. A year-and-a-half after first reviewing this place they continue to do great work and go the extra mile. He's been so busy lately (probably because everyone around knows what great work he does) so we agreed on a time to bring my car in when he would have a chance to look at since it wasn't an emergency. Not only did he change the oil, fill the transmission fluid, and diagnose the problem with the check engine light, he even test drove it to make sure the light wouldn't come back on and then got it emission tested saving me even more time and hassle. Not recommended. All I know for sure is I dropped $275 to have them replace the window regulator, and I left with all kinds of electrical problems they won't admit they caused. I will have to take my car elsewhere to get it fixed and spend more money and more time riding the CTA. Joy. read more

These guys are great, always busy and best of all they are honest! Their prices are really competitive. The only down side would be that sometimes they are REALLY REALLY busy so it might take more then a few days to get to your car but on the bright side they are also accommodating. read more

This place is awesome. I had an issue with a humming/grinding noise coming from below my front end from one of the axles. The dealership told me it was the left wheel bearing. I went to another shop and they confirmed, then replaced the left wheel bearing. The noise was still there so they looked around and finally told me that the noise is from the front differential. I searched around and found this place. Since I saw nothing but good reviews I gave them a call. I accidentally called before business hours but the owner, Steve picked up and told me to bring the car in whenever I could and he would be able to help me out. I arrived at a small shop that I almost missed. Steve was there. We chatted a bit and then he drove me back to my house in the car while test driving it at the same time. Almost immediately after pulling away he told me it sounds like the right wheel bearing not the diff. I told him I'm not sure, but the other auto shop made a pretty convincing case that it's the diff. Steve dropped me off and said he'll be in touch. I had some concerns, especially considering how expensive this could be. I received a call about two hours later. Steve confirmed what he thought in the beginning. He said it is definitely the right wheel bearing and if he's wrong it would be free of charge. After hearing that I figured, go ahead and do it. Since I already had the left one replaced it turned out this was going to be $70 cheaper. Four hours later Steve picked me up and we drove back to his shop. It was the exact fix necessary. The car was as quiet as if brand new. He also explained to me how the differential on my car works and why the other shops explanation was incorrect. I saw the bearing and it was torn to shreds. We talked a little more and he even gave me his cell in case I have any emergencies in the future. I will say that this was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had in dealing with any business. This is exactly how to run a business. The owner was very courteous and professional. He addressed all of my concerns in a quick and thorough manner. He knew exactly what he was doing. The work was very quick as well. I will definitely be taking my vehicle to this shop from now on and I would recommend you do so as well. read more
