Had an appointment to have 4 new tires mounted on loose Porsche factory wheels (magnesium). I brought new Michelin tires. Once at the store, asst manager looks them over and we go inside to ring it up. He then tells me it will be $505 for the mount and balance. I ask why so much, and he says because they are magnesium and we are responsible if they get damaged, they are expensive wheels. Again, $500+ for mounting and balancing, I brought the tires! Insane and frankly more than a Porsche dealer charges. I went to another Discount tire and they charged me $197 for the same service, also knowing they were Porsche magnesium wheels. This location in Alvin is a disappointment, wasted my time, I won't be going back again. read more

The customer service for free tire air pressure check is terrible!! I was completely ignored by one of the employees as he asked me to please move my car until the 18 wheeler was finished unloading tires. After the 18 wheeler left the employee went inside the office and completely ignore my request. I had to call into the business and ask if someone could come out and check my air pressure. They sent someone out immediately. I asked the manager why do they offer the service if they do not want to do it. He said that he does not have a employee assigned to that station. This was not the first time I had been ignored with getting my tire pressure checked at this location. This is my first time to complain because if we do not speak up nothing will change. I will encourage everybody to report the bad service to corporate. Manager already knows that he has a problem with the air pressure customer service. read more

I ordered new tires through the Alvin location and had them put on yesterday. When I got my truck back a couple of things were broken on the inside including my grab bar. I was very upset but the manager completely fixed the inside of my truck and offered me a good deal on new rims. The manager seems to be a great guy! I would recommend this place solely because of the management. read more

Had the worst experience at the Alvin store on Saturday than I have ever had at discount tire ever. I went to pick my truck up after getting four new tires, the truck was out in the parking lot with a flat front left tire. I let the man at the desk know, so he sent some out to fix the problem. Rather the removing the tire and wheel in the parking lot, he jumped in the truck and drove it into the shop riding on the unset flat tire and my corvette rims. so now I have a brand new tire with road marks on the side walls and road rashes rims read more

I found the whole experience very exceptional. I was treated with respect (which I did not receive from the other tire company across the street) and given options for my tires. At no time was I made to feel insignificant, I was heard and as a female that is important to me. I could not be help immediately, however, I was given a time to return. This showed the care they have for their customers. When I did return for my appointment, my car was checked out and we proceed to look at tire options. I was not pressured to buy something I did not want. As I waited for my car I witnessed the care they took with other customers. This really impressed me. The most pleasurable tire experience I have had in years!! I had to order tires(because of the odd size), they arrived 2 days early!!
