Wonderful attention to detail! I went to this store because of a dashboard warning light about my tires. Luckily, I found this store on Google Maps because I was not close to my house when the light appeared. I think his name was James? He immediately diagnosed the issue, which was a defective tire sensor. I only waited for about 15 minutes, and I really appreciated that. Realizing that I was a little far from home, he notified the other Discount Tire closer to my house about the issue. My tire issue was repaired within 48 hours of diagnosing the issue. Date at Discount Tire Monday 8/8/16 - Today is Wednesday 9/21/16. Thanks to manager Preston for getting me back on the road safely and for being so honest! I had traveled from MI to AZ when I noticed low air pressure in one tire on my new 2016 Silverado truck. I pulled into a GM dealership and was told the tire could not be repaired due to the position of the screw lodged in bottom/side of the tire. They did not have my tire in stock and suggested I go to Discount Tire in Anthem. By the time I reached Anthem my rear passenger tire read 16 pounds. The store was crazy, crazy busy when I arrived 10 minutes before closing. The manager Preston asked if I could come back tomorrow and I said I had an 8:00 appointment in Scottsdale. He said it would be a wait. Meantime a lovely lady with her two children were called up to the desk by Preston. Although the lady did not master the English language I observed Preston carefully explaining everything to her until he was sure she understood the problem to convey to her husband. Preston was also kind and patient with her children, who were getting bored and restless. Preston took the time to ask their names and grade etc. He then went to each waiting customer and apologized for the wait. Now it is 6:15 and a young lady from Prescott knocked on the locked door and explained her problem (similar to mine); but she had an appt in Anthem at 7:00. Preston let her in and assured her he would fix her up and she would be on time. Again thanking the rest of us for our patience. His workers never looked upset with the room of customers, knowing they probably would not be getting off work on time. Preston never looked or acted stressed out, instead remained calm and very efficiently took care of each of the four people in the waiting room. Two of the customers were from Anthem as regular customers. They both had wonderful things to say about Preston, his crew, workmanship and products. I commented that it comes from the top down. When there's good management, employee s model that behavior. Well in the end my tire was fixed! I asked if I needed a new one and Preston said No, it's as good and safe as new. Today, five days later the tire has not lost a single pound of air. Preston did not charge me anything, but treated me (and everyone) like we were buying a set of very expensive tires. He did not charge the Prescott lady either. But rest assured, we will come back when we need tires. Anthem Discount Tire store will be the one and only that I go to. I have always used them for personal vehicles, but I will be switching my fleet of work trucks over to them for tires as well. Usually with big businesses you get less service and higher prices. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I left my car for a flat repair. Picked my vehicle up 6 hours later to find it parked in the parking lot unlocked with the windows down. Also the low air pressure light is still on in my car. I asked if it is general practice to leave vehicles unsecured with the windows rolled down on a windy day and was told "I don't know, probably not". I asked what caused the flat tire and was told "I don't know, it's not notated on the ticket, therefore I don't know". Then I got on my car to find the pressure light still on, dirt and leaves covering the whole interior due to the windows being left down, black marks all over the interior tan leather, and nothing was done to the car it seems. I called the tech Mike who I was dealing with and was again not offered any reassurance or professionalism. I have been a life long customer of Discount Tire and have been to numerous stores NEVER to be treated how I was treated on Friday. Needless to say I am not out time, money to clean the interior of my car, and more time to take my car back in to a different tire store to ACTUALLY fix the issue. Came in due to a wobble my car had developed yesterday. Employee came out and looked at my tires and showed me that my left rear tire had metal showing through on the inner wall. He walked me inside and passed me off to whom I assume was the manager who proceeded to tell me that replacing my 26 inch tire would be impossible and I should JUST go ahead and get a whole new set of 22 inch rims and tires. WHAT?! When I declined I was then told that they could indeed get my 26 inch tire and that it would cost $650 (for ONE not installed) and it would be here in a week. After also declining this option they offered to put the spare on which I accepted. An HOUR later (after not even touching my car) I was then informed that they actually would not be able to put my spare on due to safety reasons. At this point I was furious for having wasted almost 2 hours of my day, asked for my keys and left. I just got off the phone with C & R tire in Anthem, my TWO 26 inch tires for $380 (installed) will be here tomorrow. Wish I had gone to C & R first and saved myself from such a huge hassle! read more

The service here is terrible. We sat in the waiting area for 3 hours before they pulled our car back and were told all total it would be about 1.5 hours. Watching the servicemen working we saw 1/4 actually working, the others eating multiple bags of chips and Gatorade, goofing around, talking and wasting time. In April I noticed that my car's right rear tire pressure is low, took it to walmart, and they didn't find anything wrong with it. It still couldn't keep the air next day, so I took the car to Discount Tire Store - Anthem. They found a tiny nail in the tire, I was so glad that they found the problem and proceeded to pay, The cashier told me it is free. I was so thankful and went to pay for their other service and asked them to my rotate my tires. After the service, they told me it is free too. I don't really know how to repay their kind service. Anyway, I definitely will get new tires from this store when I need new tires. read more

Just gotta love this place. I scheduled to have my tires rotated and when I got there earlier they my appointment they took me right in. I was out in 25 mins. When they finished, they told my they had to re-balance the tires... no fee just keep rotating tires every 6 months. Entire staff was so friendly. I have been buying tires from this store for over a decade. I came in on my day off on a monday to get my tires rotated and presc tells me there to busy. There were three cars in there and a couple in the lot. He wanted me to leave my car for 2 hours. It seems he was in a bad mood and didn't want to help me out. Came back in today 11 15. 16. I even had a wheel stud broken on my Jeep and it was handled with no additional effort from myself. Would give zero if I could. Went in for quote on mounting tires I purchased after market and wanted to charge $124! I told them Scottsdale location had done it free of charge for my other vehicle but they were so what go to Scottsdale. I did and was treated bad at the Scottsdale location right off the 101 since the manager at anthem had been relocated to that location. They called KEVIN to tell him I was coming and not to give me the same good deal. Kevin is a rude condescending manager and remembered me from rubbing his face in it when I showed him scottsdale did my first car mount free when he wanted to charge $100+ dollars. He was a condescending moron back then and hasn't changed with his new location. Stay away from anthem and the Scottsdale location (by the corp headquarters) and stay far away from Kevin who loved to overcharge for any tire service. Will not ever return to either location ever and I hope they fire Kevin cause he's a real idiot with no customer service skills. read more

I've always been a believer and loyal customer for Discount Tire however this location has some efficiency issues to address. First brought in vehicle for simple rotation and was there for over two hours. Watched three customers come in after me and leave before with their vehicles done. After the rotation I had some major steering vibrations from incorrect balancing which were not there before the rotation. Just so happens when I brought it back for balancing I had a nail in front right tire, no problem. Again waited a long time and when my truck came out I asked about the nail and they had no idea what I was talking about after I told the intake guy about it and he visually looked at it himself. Again, waiting. I will still be a customer of Discount Tire but never again this location. read more

Got a flat on the way back from Flagstaff and rolled in around 5:30pm to get it fixed or get a new tire, since I didn't want to roll around on the spare. They were pretty busy when I am in, but the gentleman assured me that they would get it fixed that day. I watched for the next hour as they hustled and finished everyone up, despite being after closing time. Seemed like a great crew, as they all pitched in to help each other get all of the customers wrapped up and back on the road. I am, as I write this having my wifes vehicles tire replaced. It is the LAST tire that they will ever replace or repair for me if I can help it! earlier this year I had 2 sets of tires installed on two of my vehicles, calls were NEVER returned as promised, both before, and after. I was going to have a third vehicle serviced but, again they did NOT bother to call me, so I went to Walm art and they went $50.00 under for the exact same set of tires, and had the tires in stock, as they said they would. Two days ago, i had an employee tell me I was flat wrong about prices I got from walmart eirlier that day. He then called them and asked about tires on the phone, but when he mis-spoke, and I tried to ask the walmart employee a question, he muted the phone, and told me I was NOT allowed to speak. I turned ariound and walked out. nobody followed me to apologize, or anything so I went across the street and got the tire at Walmart that I was promised at the price promised. The worst part about buying 2 sets of tires form Discount, is that after being a 30 year customer and never having to worry about anything with Discount, they cheated me. It's as much my fault as it is theirs though. IAssumed when I told them to give me full warranties (like I always do) I did not realize that they didn't but this morning, when the tire started comming apart on it's own, My wife was told she has NO warranty, (on a tire that is separating?) are you kidding? Went to get a tire fixed on my Prius on 7/18/14. The salesman tried to sell me two tires that were ridiculously expensive and when I was getting ready to leave the manager came over and sold me tires that were more reasonable. Then the real problem began. There were only 2 cars in the bays are there are 6 bays total.No one else was in the store and they said it wouldn't be long . They then had a big rush of customers come in AFTER me , Their cars were started first and I asked the salesman (the one I initially spoke to about purchasing tires) why and he tried to tell me they were there first. AFTER 1 hour later they pulled my car in . I wish I had gotten names of the salespeople there and especially the managers' but he needs to get a better system on customer service, sales and arrival times of customers. I live in Anthem and now will go somewhere else. I felt that since I did not spend a large sum while there then I was put at the bottom of their service list.This is the first time for me to ever write a review and hopefully will be the last but I won't go the Discount Tire in Anthem again. read more

I have bought two sets of tires at this establishment. The first set didn't last the warranty but when the salesman called the company they gave me almost no credit. But, I bought a second set of tires. I have gone back for two rotations. Next door is Break Masters. I like to do the tire rotation and the oil change one after the other. Since I have to stay in the area I like to go shopping at the outlet mall, so I ask that the car, when completed, be given to the second business. They say they will do it but they don't! They drove my car to the far corner of the parking lot which is twice the distance as to the second business. They seem to have no system coordination. When I come back two hours later I have to transfer the car myself and wait an additional hour. They do sell products, but just like Walmart, customer service is non-existent! read more

I called Discount Tire up in Anthem a few weeks ago to see about some tires that were wearing pretty heavily on my car. I was assured that they would do everything in their power to help us get the most money for our existing tires since we only had them for approximately 75% of their tread warranty. Also, they had been telling me for the last 2 rotations that I needed new tires and needed them immediately. Of course when I got there the guy helping me made me aware that I had a little too much tread to meet the manufacturer's warranty like he had promised. Of course he still pushed for the new tires, and only gave me a few bucks for my old ones. The funny thing was, the same thing had happened to the gentleman after me in line. I'm sure this is how they get you. Promise a great warranty and don't necessarily stick behind it. I have always been a firm believer in Discount, but I may try Big O or another large box tire retailer in the future based off of this experience. read more
