I called them to schedule tire rotation and the agent told me to go online and make an appointment which I did. I arrived at my appointed time. After waiting 45 minutes and watching them tend to other customers, I talked to the woman at the desk and informed her I was unable to wait much longer. She went back to the shop, got my key, and handed it to me. No explanation, no apology, no suggestion as to how I might be able to get the rotation done in a more timely manner. I have been pleased with Les Schwab and used their services for decades, but the customer service is so poor at this location that I will have to look elsewhere. Nov. 3 Update: A generic "apology" from a distant "customer service team", giving me the responsibility to return to the same people who gave me such poor service is not helpful. This is specifically regarding the Irongate location. I have a 2014 Ford F150 I bought used at B-ham Ford. The day I test drove the truck the E brake would not fully release according to the sensor. I was first told, just pull up on the pedal, ridiculous. I took it back to the dealership, with major squeal as well, they diagnosed a broken E brake switch and mechanism, and I needed new rear pads. They did the work, day after, major squeal again. I took it back to the dealer, they said it was poor pads, they bought Napa premium, next day major squeal. I don't think they inspected all of the brakes, if they did, they are incompetent. I brought it to the I-gate crew at L.S., squealing away, maybe 10 minutes later, they said I needed all 4 rotors replaced, and all 4 calipers replaced. They did the work and my brakes are awesome, quiet, like new, and a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend L.S., especially Irongate, I had a fantastic experience, I mean look at these beauties, other side the same. Needed to get a solid tire pressed. Employee said he was the only one working who was certified to use the press but that he could not leave the desk for ten minutes to do the job. He said I would have to wait for tomorrow. I have a customer waiting with their forklift down because this guy couldn't get anyone to cover the desk for ten minutes and because the press art the Burlington shop was down for repairs. I now have to go to Seattle to get the tire pressed tomorrow. I will NEVER use this location again. They weren't even busy. There were two cars being worked on and no one waiting. If I treated my customers that way, then I wouldn't have a job. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. They cost me money and didn't even do what I had brought my vehicle in for. Technically that should be a -1 star. Right?! I made an appointment to get my brakes replaced and was told it would take about 2 hours. I dropped my 3 kids off to be watched. Showed up on time for my appointment. After waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes, my vehicle was still sitting untouched in the parking lot. I finally found someone to ask if my vehicle was indeed going to be done in the next 45 minutes because I had a sitter for my kids. They gave me some excuse about manufacturer defect parts being late (I'm assuming he was referring to one of the many other vehicles they had serviced in the time I was waiting). After rambling on about that, he said "so in short, no 45 minutes is not long enough for us to get your brakes done." I told them I would need my keys since I only had a sitter lined up according to the timeframe they had told me when I made the appointment. No offer to reschedule, no offer of a discount if I were to bring it back again, nothing other than a very meek sorry. I guess $1100 just isn't worth it to them. read more

This shop tried to charge me $216 just to mount a balance 4 new tires on a 2006 Porsche Carrera. I visited this store on a recent Saturday morning to have a new set of 4 Michelins N2s installed. At first they said they couldn't install the tires because I didn't purchase them there, but then they said they'd do it for $50/per wheel. That would have been $216 just to mount and balance four 18" tires!!! They said that installing tires they didn't sell is too great a liability. Right, unless of course you throw cash at them. Never mind the date code on my Michelins was 2718.. fresh rubber to be sure and better built than their house Toyo products. Another tire shop did the work for $74.99 plus tax. The last set of tires I bought from Schwabb (for a different car) turned out to be over three years old...don't be fooled by these people, they're nothing but greedy opportunists. I was referred to this location by a good friend but I did not have a good experience both times I've visited this week. Wanted to get my front tires replaced and get an alignment done on my BMW. They took about two hours and ended up not doing the alignment at all. I also took my sequoia in for an alignment as well. My appointment was at 10am and they didn't start until 11:30 (no customers before me). The car was done at 1pm. In the past, it's taken from 25min-1hour from other shops. 3 hours is too long for an alignment and I don't plan on coming here again. read more

I love Les Schwab! I am not sure how you could give this place a bad review. We bought tires from them years ago and they always rotate our tires for free. My biggest thing with this company is that they have, hands down, the best customer service. They have fixed our families tires at least four times now for getting nails stuck in them. You don't need to buy anything from them to receive this service. My family has gone to Les Schwab my whole life and I feel like they have always been upfront and honest. Then even offered to give me a refund on my tire chains in the Spring since I never used them. We wouldn't buy tires from anyone else. read more

I was so pleased to find this hidden gem! It is off the beaten path but well worth driving a few extra blocks. I just got a 1993 Chevy and the brakes squealed more than an angry pig. I feared needing a complete brake job. I took it in to have it looked at and got a next day appointment on Sat. I showed up and they took my car in right away. The waiting room and restroom was very clean. My car was done in an hour just like they predicted. Best yet? I didn't need a full brake job, my rotors had just rusted from the car sitting unused. It cost me half of what a full brake job would have. I was so happy and really appreciated their honesty in just selling me the service I needed. They may have lost out on the price of a full brake job but now they have a customer for life and great word of mouth to bring in more customers. Thanks guys!! read more

I decided to give this shop another chance because they were able to easily schedule me for an appointment the following day for an alignment on my truck and I had a great experience getting tires at the Les Schwab in Lynden only a few days before so why not? First off my appointment was at 1pm and my Ford Ranger was off getting diagnostics by 1:01pm. I was expecting a delay like always but NOPE right into the shop it went. The tech did a very thorough job diagnosing the issue with a complete written report and everything came back excellent but both front tires were worn unevenly on one side of the tires showing evidence of radial pull (a tire defect) which is why my truck was veering to the right so the job went from a $60 alignment to a $236 tire change of just the two front tires in a hurry but from there they had the two tires on in maybe 30 minutes and I was out the door and I was very happy. On my 25 mile drive home on the highway I of course tested the steering and it still didn't drive straight. Went from letting go of the steering wheel and being in the ditch in the blink of an eye to maybe 4-5 seconds of slowly turning to the right before you go in to the ditch so a vast improvement but not what I was looking for but mainly I was worried Id be back in swapping out tires for the same reason. I bring it back the next day and I was in the shop forever for them to not be able to figure out the issue BUT ruled it out that it wasn't anything to do with the trucks equipment on their end of inspections and it be a possible power steering related issue but promised the tires wont wear like the ones I had on the day prior. My truck does have highly suspect power steering unit so hey they may have ruled out a lot of things for me to have worked on. Ill take their word for it and Im glad I was able to get their help and I will cut them a break on being in there for several hours because I was a walk in versus having an appointment the day prior. So in 1 weeks time I spent a total of 8hrs within 3 visits at Les Schwab getting tires and work done on 2 vehicles my opinion has completely changed and I will be giving my tire business to Les Schwab especially Irongate. Their staff was very friendly and helpful and best of all they did quality work and not just me that was to all the customers I saw who came and went through their shop. Everyone got prompt service and left happy. Im absolutely certain Ill be returning for more tires for my 3 vehicles with this specific Les Schwab for many years to come. read more
