You know, it's insulting to hear a person who works there say to "watch out for potholes" to persuade me to buy a new set of tires when the tread isn't even or below the Tread Indicator Bar. Please believe we hate going in there for a tire rotation because we're going to experience high-pressure selling tactics to get us to buy something. If they can't convince you to buy, another sale person will join in the conversation pretending like he has the same set of tires on his car saying they're great for a last dish effort. Scheduled a appointment only to have to wait another 10 minutes to be helped,staff walked away from us instead of getting information from tires/vehicle along w trying to sell us tires we didn't need consider the tires on the vehicle was under 2 yrs old and driven locally.additionally the tpms estimate was over priced and saved by going across the street to Belle tire,granted discount tire did clean the corroding valve stems which was appreciated but w all things taken into account I can't recommend this shop read more

I'm only giving it 5 stars because of the service from Katelyn Marcure !! I had a leak somewhere on my front tire and had to put air in it daily. She came out with a spray bottle and checked it till she found the leak. Because of the tread depth and going into winter I replaced all 4. Her positive and upbeat attitude made the whole experience appreciated. I have been in sales all my life and personal service to me is huge. I purchased 4 tires that had 80,000 mile warranty for $938.00. I got 43,000 miles out of them. They said they can prorate the cost of new tires. Only problem is they don't sell these tires anymore and the replacement tires cost over $300.00 more. I would have only been prorated $300 ($75 each) for the tires that wore out prematurely. In order to buy 4 new tires, I'd be out of pocket $1,000.00. That's where the problem starts. I went in to get the tires rotated and rebalanced. He asked why I wanted them rebalanced. I explained we hit a curb and now the tire shakes at certain speeds. The assistant manager Ulises told me my rim was bent. I told him I didn't think we hit anything hard enough to bend a rim but I didn't have time to do anything at the moment so please just rebalance the tires and rotate them. I pulled out and the tire was worse than it was when I brought it to them. I had an appointment to get to. When I got to my appointment, I called the store and told him the tire is shaking worse than it was. He told me "there's not much we can do with a bent rim". I told him you made it worse so don't say you can't do anything about it. Then I informed him I used to work in a tire shop for 4 years and know exactly how to do HIS job. At that point he told me to bring it back the following day and he'd make it better. Instead of going back, I went to a reputable tire shop and bought my tires there. (Company B) They installed 4 new tires and when I asked about balancing or bent rim he told me they didn't find any bent rims. All 4 tires used the same amount of weight to balance properly. He then told me that if it was bent, it would have required more weight on one side than the other and even if it was slightly bent, he would have been able to balance the tire anyway. All of what "company B" told me is exactly what my experience tells me is correct. I have had decent experiences with Discount tire and I've had horrible experiences with them. This was a horrible experience to say the least. I don't like how the managers whisper to each other when they're in the presence of customers. That just says "shady practices" to me. I won't be going back there anymore and would never recommend this branch to anyone. read more

I prepaid for four new Michelins online and schedule an appointment online. I arrived on 12/31/21, David greeted me he was very polite and told me I would be out of there within an hour. An hour and 15 minutes later, after receiving no updates on my car, some other guy, husky and very short brown hair, I think his name was Chris, comes over and asked me if there have been issues with my tire sensors that report the air pressure. I told him all my tires were at either 34 or 35 pounds the day before, per my OnStar mobile app. That tells us the sensors were fine while the car was in my possession.  He said you either have one bad sensor or else our tool that reads it is bad. I told him again, there was no problem with the sensors the day before. I was getting text messages and emails from OnStar for the last 15 minutes sitting in the waiting area about low tire pressure before Chris came over to talk to me. Per the Onstar messages, one tire had zero pounds of air in it now, the other three tires had 16 pounds of air in them or less. Seemed a little odd that there are now suddenly problems with sensors after they start working on the tires. Then Chris told me that I could either pay $60 to have a new sensor installed or since it's not working now, just leave it as it is! It's a $43,000 car, it has OnStar, I had no plans to take a $60 hit if they ruined the sensor. Nor was I going to leave with a non-working sensor and get OnStar messages every few minutes for the rest of my life. This guy has horrible customer skills. I was then told: "I'll try another scanning tool". Chris came back a few minutes later and told me he talked to the technicians. He asked them if there were sensors on all the tires when the car came in. The technician told him yes. It seemed technician number two forgot to put all the sensors on the new tires! The first tech took it off, put it on a shelf and they didn't put it back on the new tire! When I got home I noticed they only put valve caps on two of the tires. Caps that only covered half the stem! And, no one gave me a warranty card or any printed warranty documentation on the tires.  I went to the Michelin web site, you have to register your tires there and registration is also needed for their free three years of roadside assistance.  I should have been given warranty info at the store and written DOT tire info with that information. I shouldn't have to crawl around my garage floor in the winter to write down the DOT number.  All I got was a 4 x 10 inch paper receipt with the charges and mention that there is a 60K miles warranty and "Flat Tire Assistance". Poor quality work, poor customer services from Chris. read more

I went into discount tire to get my tires replaced. They damaged all four of the rims to where they need to replaced. I asked the assistant manager about this and he says it happens a lot with these trucks. If you want your rims ruined go ahead and have them replace your tires. They clearly do not care if they damage your vehicle and will continue to damage others by saying oh well it just happens. Also the claims department just tries to give you some money so you quit asking but they do not want to give the full price to replace all the rims. They are zero help. No one tries to contact you back you have to keep contacting them asking for updates before someone responds. They also never answer phone calls. read more

Everyone was great wearing masks practicing safe practices. Well I made appointment for 9am in for service on previously purchased tires. Got in at scheduled time and work was completed in less than 1/2 hour . This is my normal experience with discount tire I have 4 vehicles in family all have had tires from discount tire so am on average there once a month at one of their locations. My advice to people is just make appointment and you will be taken care of fine. No appointment means they have to work you in so you will probably be there a while since it's only fair that appointments come first. read more

With my tail between my legs, I went to Discount Tire to see what I could do. Tony hooked it up. Took care of me, patched my tire (there was a screw AND a piece of metal in the tire so again, thanks Illinois) and alerted me that my tires were as bald as Dwayne The Rock Johnson's head. I went to Discount Tires for four new tires. The price was reasonable and the service was friendly and professional. There is, however, an option that is supposed to be offered that covers manufacturer's defects and repair in case of a flat. This was never offered, it was simply added onto the bill (55.00) without asking me if I wanted it. I did not, and had to return to the store and have that money refunded. Although this was annoying, and I don't believe it was the simple oversight that the salesperson claimed it to be, it wasn't enough to sour the experience for me to the point that I will not be returning, although I quite possibly will not. No, the problem is that, the whole time I was there waiting for my car to be serviced, I was forced to listen to the local Christian radio station. Due to the volume level, this could not even be considered background music. It left me wondering if this is a corporate wide decision, or is this something that is done on the local level. In any case, as an atheist, I found it to be irritating and the next time I need tires, I'm going to remember it. read more

I'd had a slow leaking tire for months. Finally called Discount to see if they also "repaired" tires (I bought a couple of tires from them years ago). The guy said, "ya, just bring it in". I went there and as I got out and opened my "walker", an "advisor" (Roberto) came OUT TO ME in the parking and asked how he could help. I told him and asked how much $ and how long (they looked VERY busy). Roberto said "ah, no charge", but it'd be about an hour or so. Well, I came back in an hour, but they ALL were still busy. I gave Roberto my keys and waited in the "lounge(?)". Roberto apologized for the wait, they WERE busy ( NONE needed, I was getting a FREE tire repair!) and "they would get to it ASAP". I sat there watching the continuous stream of people dropping off/picking up their cars and trucks, advisors helping with questions. Two-plus hours later, Roberto brought my car to the front door, handed me the keys...then spoke quietly... "That tire was too old and BAD...and not worth repairing...so I put on a NEW one...no charge". I tried to pay him "something", but he refused. I understand NOW why they WERE constantly busy...no, NOT because they "give away" tires, but because...Discount Tire has good products... ...and GREAT "customer-minded" and helpful people working there! I have bought from discount for several years. They are stellar with the courtesy, service and the sales. They will sell you everything and a bag of chips. But after you sign that line and you're a customer who needs to just be routinely serviced, it all goes out the window. You go on the back burner after that, multiple occasions I have had 2 or 3 hour waits for just a balance/tire rotation. About a 15 min job, and they have an attitude towards you that you're an inconvenience when You pay for the lifetime service ahead of time with your purchase. My suggestion is to open more locations to service your market share, or open bigger locations to service the actual volume of customers. read more

They replaced two of my tires and failed to replace the sensors for them when they replaced the tires, and are charging me for the labor for them to replace the sensors. Came in to have a tire fixed from a nail being stuck in it. Got me in immediately. Tire was repaired in 20 mins and they checked my tire pressure in all other tires and made sure sensors were working. And they fixed it for free. Competition down the street couldn't get me in for 3 hours and wanted to charge $35. I definitely recommend Discount Tire for all your tire needs. 5 stars! read more

Great customer service! Stopped in yesterday to make sure they had the tires we wanted in stock and made an appointment to bring the car back today. Walked back in today and Jacob remembered me right away, he even remembered the make of our car waited for less than 45 mins to have new tires put on! I've come here before to get a tire plugged because they offer it for free, and they did a great job. However, I recently got a new used car from my grandmother. It's a 1995 and she hardly drove it. Unfortunately I got a nail in one of the tires, so I think to go to discount tire again since they patch for free. So after making an appointment and driving 20 minutes to the shop with a half-flat tire, they take a look at my tires and say they're in great shape, BUT they can't service me because the tires are 10 years old. In fact, they won't even put AIR in them. So I just drove all this way and now I have to drive to another shop and they won't put air in my tires as a courtesy to make sure I don't end up on the side of the road. came to Discount Tires for 4 new tires a year ago. since then have had wobbling in my steering (had never had this before the new tires) I have since been back twice to try to correct it, but received it in worse or the same condition both times. i will now be spending my time going to the Toyota store to see if they can fix what discount tires has done to my car. went to save a few bucks, now i am sure i will be paying more in the repair shop. read more

My wife needed a badly damaged tire replaced for our 2009 Kia Borrego EX. Similar in size to a Ford Explorer. The manager insisted for safety reasons due to the condition of the opposite tire he could not replace the damaged tire without replacing both front tires. My wife called me at my work and told me the situation. With me knowing my vehicle had 75k miles and the tires were the original set when the vehicle was new, I told her to replace all four. The manager sold her on Pirelli Scorpion Verde all season SUV tires. The total price was far less than I expected, especially being Pirelli's are a top of the line brand. Well I am so pleased with my new Pirelli tires and that I know this Discount Tire has a manager who is ethical enough to pass on a small sale to protect the customer and his companies liability. Well trained. I didn't realize that even though the original tires looked ok, the belts had been damaged which explained why during highway driving they were very noisy and felt unbalanced. Even shaky at higher speeds. With the new Pirellis, the ride is super smooth, super quiet, wet traction is better and even the gas mileage has improved. Not a great snow tire but we avoid driving when it snows. Very happy customer! read more
