As a long time customer I have always loved the great service I receive and the low prices. Today I went in for a tire rotation and rebalance. I made the appointment online super easy and only waited a couple of minutes. When I asked how much the bill would be today I was told don't worry about it. I pointed out that I had a new car since my last visit and still had the factory tires ( you get free lifetime rotation when you purchase their tires) The manager said that's ok we appreciate your business and want you to keep coming back. This simple gesture of appreciation means so much to me, in today's world of businesses taking customers for granted and customers taking businesses for granted this is so refreshing. I have a transportation company. Also, I have a customer for more than 15+ years. On 9/5/26 went to do tire rotation. Adam said you need a new tire. I said how about warranty. He said because you didn't do tire rotation it doesn't cover it. I said ok, do 2 tires. He gave me a price. I said I did similar vehicle in another location look it up and match it. It was Michelin tire at the other location. I thought they gonna match it the price and tire of their own other store price. When I came to pick it up the vehicle, it is Yokohama tire. They can't even match up their own store price, they don't care if you have 20+ cars in your fleet, they care about money. Don't go to this location. read more

I've been using Discount Tires for over 25 years. I love their service model and have always been happy with their work and prices. Since moving to MN though, every time I leave my car with this location, when they are done serving the car, they park it and leave it unlocked. I grew up in very poor neighborhoods where crime was fairly frequent. You don't leave houses or cars unlocked unless you're inviting crime to happen. I know crime is likely less frequent here, but if it's not standard procedure, if a customerspecifically requests their car to be locked, Discount Tire should honor that request. Yesterday was the 3rd time that I specifically asked the employee not to leave it open, confirmed they knew where to place the key card and how to tell it was locked on my car (mirrors fold in). He assured me it would be locked. I let him know that it was especially important to me because my car would have my set of winter tires in it and I was going on a bike ride, so would not see a notification that my car had been left unlocked. When I came to pick it up, I noted to the same employee that the car had again been left unlocked. The employee insisted he had made sure that the mirrors folded in, but when I said it was still unlocked and I had purposely turned off my bluetooth to make sure it wasn't opening for my phone when I drove up, and I had received a message that it was unlocked, he said the car was too sensitive and too hard to figure out. I told him I'd had the car for 5 years and there hadn't been a problem previously. He then said that if I got a message it was unlocked, then I should lock it. I responded that I wouldn't know if they were still working on it, plus I think as a business that works on cars, they should know how to lock the cars that are in their possession. He put his hands up and said, "I guess your car is just too fancy for me to figure out. It's too fancy." At this point I was feeling embarrassed because other people in the lobby could hear him, so I just turned and left. Once I got to my car, I called their regional office and shared my experience. She said I should receive a call from one of this location's facility managers and that she would ask them to provide training for that employee about how to lock cars with card keys, but I never received a follow-up call, so it seems like their manager must agree with their employee's assessment that my 5-year old car, a car that my son just purchased a new one for $20,000 less than the average vehicle price in the US, is just too fancy for them. It's an average-priced car with a reputation for cool technology, but for some reason, too fancy for Discount Tire to lock when requested. Maybe our other 16-year-old car is too fancy, too. I'm not fancy. I just want my car to be locked when they're done with its service. I don't think that's an unreasonable request. I should not be made to feel bad for wanting Disount to figure out how to lock cars with key cards. UPDATE: the manager called me today and we had a very nice conversation. I do think that the employee tried to make sure my car was locked and I think part of the reason he reacted defensively was because he did try to ensure it was locked and wasn't sure how it ended up being unlocked. The manager mentioned that many cars now lock when the car fob moves out of range and that employees may need additional training to understand that card keys don't do that. The manager told me that the employee recognized that he had not responded in the best way. I also said that I understood that because I felt frustrated at not being able to ensure that my car was secured when it was in their care. Because I like Discount Tires and because I understand that even good employees can have a not great moment, I will be back to this store. I'll further update my rating then. read more

I never write reviews but I just wanted to come on here and tell everyone they did right by me. Long story short, I brought in my vehicle for a simple tire rotation and balance. They showed me that my tire pressure light failed the test and suggested that I get the sensors fixed. I wasn't too worried about the sensors, but I had another issue going on with the hazard lights starts flashing each time I start the car. They suggested that fixing the sensors would fix that issue too, so I agreed to fix all 3 sensors in my tires. After 2 hours passed, they said my car was good to go. So I hopped in my car thinking everything was taken care of and the hazard lights issue was fixed as well, it was not. I confronted them and they said there appears to be a miscommunication. Shortly after, the manager stepped in and refunded my service. I was very thankful for the refund and will be returning back the next time I need to replace my tires in the future! read more

UPDATE: I took the same tire to Tire's Plus. No problem at all, they fixed it for free (even though I'm not their customer). I paid the guy $40's anyway. MAIN REVIEW: I have been a customer for a long time, likely bought 40 tires there, at least 30. Every time I go lately it's worse and worse. I'll continue to get tires balanced and rotated there while I burn the current sets, but I am done with them. It's always a hassle lately. Always. Today the refused to patch a nail hole. Fine, I'll do it myself but they unmounted my tire and wouldn't remount it. What? Really? I just wanted the tire mounted, so I can patch it and go buy new tires elsewhere. I don't want one tire that doesn't match the rest, it's 4wd, they should know that. Complete BS. I've never heard of such a policy. read more

Things have changed in 2024... new management - meh, pushy salesmen just not the same experience. My most recent visit was the last visit for me. when the pushy salesmen tried to sell me wiper blades - ?? I told him no thanks, and I was there to buy tires, and there was nothing wrong with the wiper blades on my vehicle. He insisted there was a streak and it would cause visibility issues - they could sell me new ones and install them for me. I told him I was not interested in replacing them at this time and if I was, I could do it myself. He continued to push - that irritated me. I finally informed him I was very capable of handling it and was not at all interested. He mumbled something about convenience and safety as he returned his attention to his computer ... Will scam you I drive through a lot of construction sites so I get flat tires often. Usually went to tire plus in Champlin and it was just a patch. I moved so this was closer. My first experience I was suspicious of. Had a flat tire. Told them I need a patch. I had fairly new tires and they tried to sell me 4 tires. I refused. Then they said they couldn't patch it because I had two punctures too close together. They wouldn't let me leave without 2 new tires for safety reasons. I doubted this but they wore me down. Swore I would never come back. A few months later got another flat, and they were the closet place. They immediately were trying to sell me new tires again. Said I had a heat ring and it wasn't daft to drive on. Went to fleet farm and got a patch. So many other shady details I could add, but I do not trust this business. read more

I've got a leak in my passengers side rear tire and have been putting it off for a week now. I attempted to fix it twice by stopping into fleet farm but they were under staffed and all booked up both times. I'm sure they're good at their jobs, but if you're like myself I don't like scheduling appointments. Here at discount tire I walked right in and they did the job immediately. They even have bar stools and a counter I ate my breakfast at while watching them fix my problem. I've had bad experiences with the big names stores and their tire departments. As I previously stated they're always under staffed, and if you make the mistake of buying your tires at SAMs club (ME) they won't honor the free tire rotations if you decide to cancel your membership 2 years down the road. If I could give 0 stars I would.I will never go to a discount tire again. The way I got treated was absolutely unacceptable. I grew working at on cars so I am not just some woman who is clueless. The way I was talked to about my vehicle and how the refused to do service without charging me for new tires is ridiculous. I was told the only way they would put tires that I SUPPLIED on was if I purchased new ones. They would not put tires on cuz they were "absolutely bald" and I was told I would be charged for four. All four tires on my vehicle are only a year old and are nowhere near bald. The sexist employee that I dealt with show be fired and the company should be ashamed at the fax that this is the way their employees talk to women. This is the best place to buy tires in the United States! I am so glad that they are nationwide because we have an RV and anytime I have trouble I know I will be able to get them to help me. I have gotten three full sets of tires for different automobiles from the store and they are not the lowest price, but they are very reasonable and they are the best service anywhere! I arrived approximately 20 minutes later and met with Stephen which is the person I talked with on the phone. "More scummy than a used car lot" The problem with these tire stores is the dishonesty that goes on here. I call to see if they were able to fix a flat on a tire that I had. They said "sure no problem, bring it in". I bring it in and he said "he couldn't fix the hole and that I should replace all 4 tires". His goal was to get me into the store so he could up sell me. The tire chart clearly shows that I have plenty life left on my tires. Which are only 1 year old. So I say "no thanks" and bring my tires to a mom-and-pop-shop. They fix the hole and tell me my tires are plenty good. Discount Tire Direct and Tires Plus push their employees to sell you tires to the point dishonesty. This location is great. The crew and management are professional and actually seem to be genuine with the customers. Even at their busiest they all seems composed and professional. I really appreciated the care they took with my car's rims. I had concerns about taking the tire on and off and they ensured they would be be super careful not to damage my rim and they did take their time in the mist of a busy day they still took their time and paid attention to detail. I ordered and paid for my tires that weren't in stock on Black Friday. They told me it would take around 3 to 7 business days for them to arrive and they would call me when they did. 5 weeks later I got the call. I can't make an appointment for 2 weeks. I said I would just walk in. I asked how long the wait would be. They told me an hour to an hour and a half. When I got there they said it would be 2 and a half to 3 hours to wait. I don't have that kind of time on my hands. Needless to say I still haven't gotten my paid for tires on my car. read more

My father and I went in to get a tire with a plug repaired, they told us it was unrepairable, so I said, "That's fine just put it back on and we'll be on our way". They told us it was unsafe and would not let us go. I told them to put on our FULL SIZE spare tire so we could drive it home. He said no also. I asked multiple times.
