Absolutely unacceptable experience at Discount Tire in Corinth, TX. I came back after noticing a lug nut missing from my rear tire immediately after service, and instead of handling the situation professionally, I was basically treated like I was lying. The employee Thomas immediately started insisting that the lug nut was "already missing" before they touched my vehicle. Funny how nobody mentioned that during the original inspection. If a wheel is missing a lug nut before service, why wasn't that documented or brought to my attention before I drove off? What really irritated me was the attitude. Instead of listening to the customer or even acknowledging the concern, it turned into them trying to defend themselves and make me feel dishonest. One of the employees even went outside looking for the missing lug nut, which says a lot by itself. Then after arguing with me about it, I get told, "Well, I'll order you one." That completely misses the point. The issue isn't the price of a lug nut -- it's being treated like a liar over a safety issue involving my vehicle. I went in for a simple nail in a tire. The tech measured the tread and said it was a 7. No need to replace the tire. Then I waited an hour and a half for the repair only to be told that, guess what?, the tire couldn't be repaired after all, it would have to replaced. So, another 30 minutes for the tire to be put on. Oh, and the lug nuts?, yeah you need to replace all of them. But I wasn't told that when I was told I had to replace the tire. No, they waited until the very last minute to explain that one to me. So, another $50 for that. These guys are well meaning but not really good with larger trucks. I ordered the tires I wanted and they came in. I was called many times so they could tell me they were in. My truck is a duelly. Went in on a Saturday. 3 hours later they just had the front tires on. Then told me they couldn't do the back tires. Company policy on rim width. So they loaded my stuff up and I went to another shop. They put the tires on the rim with no issues. But Discount boys had kept my lug nuts. Called them to get my lug nuts and they wanted me to come get them. I let them know I didn't have any wheels or ties on my truck. So the finally brought them to me. These guys caused me to lose many hours and the install cost me way more than I had planned. Don't use these guys. read more

He said they were short one tire but could have it the next day so I made the appointment for Friday at 11:00. Yes, they have great prices, price match, and typically have in every type of tire you could need. Other than that their customer service is awful. They will make you wait longer if you upset them or make them do something they feel is wasting their time. They also "forget" to balance tires before you leave causing a second trip. And this latest full set of tires I bought also did not get the sensors reset so they don't show up with the correct PSI. I could keep going with specific names of employees that have been extra rude or disconcerting, but you get the picture. What used to be my favorite place to buy a single or full tire sets has quickly become a burden I can't get away from. It pains me to have to write this review as a result of my interactions with Discount Tire today. Having been a customer for all our tire needs since the mid-90s from Washington to Texas, I have always admired the way the company's management is run as as private enterprise. Their service has always been stellar and their employees always seem to hustle on the job. Pretty impressive. Well, something must have happened over the last several years. It was strikingly evident today as my experience and perception is forever changed. I took my car in and spoke with the store manager there as I had a slow leak in one of my tires. To my surprise, the place at 8:30am was void of customers. I was the only one. Weird. It was always crowded right at the opening from my previous experience. Anyway, the tire is 90% new but was leaking air over time. The qualified answer after asking about their free flat repair was that if it can be "fixed safely" they would fix the flat. We also chatted as he pull up all the info on our other cars (3 others) in their system, made some remark that the my current car has not been in for tires. (Free flat repair are done as a courtesy - at least always as been, regardless if we bought the tires from them.) I also told him that we would be back since my two rear tires need to be replaced in the fall and that I would be back. The technician promptly and quickly determined by dunking the tire that there is a little air seeping out of the rim lip and told me it was the rim. As such, he referred me back to the store manager since I said I can have my wife drop our 5th rim by since we only live 2 miles away. The store manager now wants to charge $25 to mount the tire on my other "good" rim, citing "nothing is for free". WOW. I guess YMMV these days. Now I understand the reason for the empty floor. The courtesy and good customer services now come at a price. They may have just lost a customer - at least at this location. read more

The service was fine. It took them a little over an hour which is what I normally expect. The reason I'd give them 3 stars is because a bunch of employees had their mask pulled down not covering their face. The worker I saw in the garage also had their mask pulled down, and one of the employees inside on the phone had their mask pulled down and did not sanitize their hands afterwards. I fully sanitized my car once I got back because seeing this all made me feel like no one that entered my vehicle was wearing proper face coverings thus spreading germs in my car. I've been here several times and will come back, the service is professional and they stand by their tires. I had to come back for punctures, and they always fix them for free, if the nail doesn't go in the side of the tire. The parking lot is easy access and the location is right off the service road, so it's easy to pop in and pop out. I generally can wait for my car and it's not too long of a wait. there is a Chick-fil-A nearby and other restaurants if I wanted to go get something to eat while I wait. The prices on the tires I assume are fair, at least in my opinion they don't seem overpriced. read more

Flower Mound store did not have the tire to replace mine due to a road hazard replacement so they sent me here. 8 to 10 guys in the shop and they are all huddling around one truck while and few customers wait... and wait... and wait.
