This was my first time coming here, I was nervous about coming to a new mechanic but it was an emergency. I had an air valve replaced on one of my tires. I got there around 11:50, my name and service was put down and they took my keys. There was no communication as to how long it would be or what kind of process was happening. I didn't get an update until I asked 30 minutes later and then my car wasn't looked at until another 30 minutes had passed. I will say the price was fair and the workers were professional. While paying, the front end employee let me know that it was a busy time for them, which I understand happens but it's kind of ridiculous to have not had a wait time or anything communicated to me. The main reason my rating is so low is that after the wait, I walked out to my car and there was a scratch on my front bumper on the driver's side. I don't know how they didn't notice or say anything to me about it before I got out there, I'm sure they expected for me to not notice. Overall, the experience was fine. The price was fair, employees were friendly but they might scrape your car so be careful. read more

These guys were great! We are from California and needed work done on our 2001 E350 van. We had driven it from CA and the steering was definitely having problems. Scott got us in within a day and test drove the van and had the tie rods adjusted within an hour. We were referred to them by the local Ford dealer when they couldn't get us in for a week. I found a nail in my tire (new tires with only 4,500 miles). Took SUV to Briscoe's on a busy Saturday AM. Shortly after leaving Briscoe's they called to report that it was more of a large "tack" that has not penetrated the tire. They charged us nothing snd we were on our way. I have taken every car I've owned here since moving to Texas. Two Buick Lacrosse's; my Audi Q7; and my son's car. My husband called to get an estimate of what we needed and got a price. He called back 2 days later to schedule the appointment after talking with me. We dropped off my Audi and was told that the girl that scheduled the appointment gave us a lower estimated time of completion. I was called later that day at work to notify me that my truck was ready. I asked for the total price because my husband and I were splitting the cost. I was given a price over $100 more than what we were quoted. I explained to the girl on the phone the issue and she immediately put someone else on the phone. He told me that I was misinformed and that if he charged everyone the price I was quoted he would be out of business. Being that they had my vehicle I had no choice but to pay. After arriving with my husband the gentleman we met (Curtis) said that her was going to pull the call and listen to it to determine what we were told. My husband told him that he had the call log but left his phone at home. We told him that we would call with that information once we got home. We called as soon as we arrived with the date and time. As of today, we have not heard anything. Let's just say that the statement about pulling the call and refunding our money if we were told something different was just to pacify us and get us out of his business. We have no reason to lie or take advantage of this business. At this point, I won't be back. read more

I came here to get a replacement tire for my car. Since I don't do a lot of highway driving I decided a used tire would work well. I was quickly greeted upon arrival, and they immediately assessed my needs. Luckily, they had a used tire that would fit perfectly! It cost $33 for the fix, and the guy even rounded down for me since I paid cash, which was completely unnecessary but very considerate. I was fixed up and back on the road within 20 minutes. These guys are fantastic! I had a front-end accident in which I went to the Nissan dealership as well as several other locations to fix toe alignment from front end damage. Curtis, the owner, was the only one that properly diagnosed the issue and repaired it. The control arm put on was for a coupe and not a sedan...These gentleman were the only ones who spotted this fact... After spending boat loads of money trying to correct the issue elsewhere, I have my Altima back in perfect condition as though no accident occurred. He and his staff also helped keep the cost low as well! They were super helpful, quick and knowledgeable. I highly recommend these guys! Noticed a low tire at 5:15pm. Called to see if they could fit us in before closing. He didn't make any promises but said come on by. Got there 20 min before closing. The front desk guy was NOT pleasant. BUT, service tech, Austin pulled me outside, apologized and got us taken care of. There was no way they would be done before closing but with a smile and a gentle voice Austin gladly took care of the tire which ended up having a nail in it. I originally brought in my car for a tire repair (picked up a nail somewhere). Briscoe gracious enough to attend to my needs right away and patch the tire where needed. After completing the repair I was notified that the TPS (tire pressure sensor) was broken off during the repair process and would need to be replaced. They (Briscoe) would need to order a replacement TPS and I could come back in to have the additional repair made. Not at big deal in my opinion. I get that these things happen from time to time. I was not charged for the tire repair and was told "sorry for the issue, we'll do better next time". Fair enough. After returning home I realized the following. The repaired tire was over-inflated beyond specifications to 40 PSI (I promptly deflated to 32 PSI as recommended by the manufacturer). My wheel lock key was also not placed back in the glove compartment after they completed the repair. I was now left in a bit of a predicament. 1.) My TPS light was always on. I had no way of knowing if there were tire pressure issues with any tires given that the broken off TPS had triggered the dash light. 2.) If I did encounter a flat I had no way to change my tires as Briscoe had not returned my wheel lock key. Briscoe did not follow up with me to return my wheel lock key nor did they follow up with me to schedule a time to replace the TPS they broke off.... I had to call them and notify them of these issues (it appears they misplaced my original invoice with my contact information even though it was magically present when I returned). Flash forward to a few weeks later when I was able to stop by Briscoe again. They did have my wheel lock key and a replacement TPS waiting for me. I also asked them to balance my front tires as I had noticed some wobbling in the steering wheel at speeds from 30 to 50 mph. After balancing the tires, replacing the TPS, and returning my wheel lock they wrote up an invoice. I was charged for the following: 1.) replacement sensor cost (TPS) - $65 - which they broke 2.) balance two tires - $30 3.) labor to install replacement sensor (TPS) - $15 - which they broke So, after all was said and done, I'm out $80 and several hours of my time for originally taking my car in for what was supposed to be a simple tire repair/patch. I have grown increasingly tired of paying for "professional's" mistakes. To add insult to injury, upon returning home I checked the PSI of all my tires as the car was riding funny (yes, I can tell when my tire pressure is off based on road feel). Sure enough, all four tires were over-inflated to 40 PSI. I had to hook up my own system and deflate all four tires to the appropriate PSI as recommended by the manufacturer. In light of my experiences and the facts I have presented I cannot recommend Briscoe Alignment & Tire. read more

I went to Sams to have a flat fixed and they told me that they could not fix it since it was on the side. I had them air it back up and I drove over to Briscoe. It was after 5 and told David that I was told that it could not be fixed which he said it could. Upon realizing that the tire was cracked I decided to purchase two tires which David so courteously sold me. I was very satisfied with his service and at least he took the time to at least try to fix the flat. In that Scotty was not there, he can rest assured that he has a very courteous and capable individual running the store!!! read more
