DO. NOT. COME. HERE. I came for a simple rotation and balance. I left fuming. First, the tech working on my car told me the brake studs were crooked and they wouldn't rotate and balance my tires until that got checked out by a mechanic (oh and he had a card of a mechanic shop handy, imagine that). I had just been to an auto shop for something else a day before and they had checked over everything and didn't mention a problem. One of the front lobby guys suggested he take all the lug nuts off first. Well now I didn't have a brake stud problem, now my lug nuts needed replacing. Fine. Replaced those, finished the rotation and balance. I drive away and as soon as I leave the lot they call saying there are 5 lug nuts all around the bay my car was in and I need to come back ASAP. I u-turn and go back. Sure enough, 5 lug nuts were missing from 1 tire. Five out of five lugnuts were missing from 1 tire. The "now hiring" sign out front that day. Maybe they should consider the competence of those they hire. read more

Very disappointed! I came in to buy 2 new tires and the guy promised to give me just $4 discount on my $300 tires then when i pay, he didnt even put the discount on it. I came up to him and asked and he told me he forgot then he said his manager didnt let me....!!!???? Wth? Such a liar. Just a $4 and they actually lost 1 customer who has been with them for years. I have spent hundreds of dollars here at this discount tire and today I went in for a free air check and have been sitting here for over ten minutes while all the workers ignored me , I tried calling out to one and he just pretended like he didn't even here me. It takes like two minutes to check the air. then finally when someone else pulled up behind me to get an air check too someone came out to check it. Lies lies and more lies. Everything they said from the time it would take to get the tires. Placed the order on a Monday, they said the tires would all be in by Thursday. They tricked me into paying in advance and guaranteed me that they would surely be in on Thursday. I called on Thursday to see if I could bring it in but they said only three tires were available. I could not make two trips so I kept calling to see when the other tire would be in. Four days later, I called and they said all four tires are finally in. So I take the vehicle in to get the new tires on today which is Monday. I call a couple of hours later to see if the vehicle is ready to be picked up which they say yes it is ready to go all the tires have been switched out . I show up to the location expecting my vehicle to be ready, instead I have to wait 30 more minutes because they are still working on my vehicle. Why waste my time? Why not just tell me my vehicle is not ready so I can pick it up when it is ready?? Oh well at least I got four new tires put on right? Absolutely not. Come to find out the fourth tire never made it in and the person who I spoke to earlier that day completely lied to me for no apparent reason. He actually put me on hold for 10 minutes to go and "put a hand on the tire" as he told me. Now I have to make another trip back and waste more of my time just to get that last tire put on. As I have plenty of extra time to sit around the waiting room I asked them where the confusion was and all they could do was point the fingers at each other. read more

I too hate to give them such high marks as they are never as busy as the Spring Cypress location. I switched to this location a year ago from the SC location and I will be loyal to this location. Great customer service by this team and fast in and out service on their quoted times. read more

I got there before 8:00 am. Thought they opened early so I had to wait. No biggie. As a matter of fact, Alex came out to my car at 8 on the dot and assisted me immediately! I just bought new tires and ran over a screw. The team plugged the hole and I was out in 15 minutes. Fantastic service. I recommend this location. read more

One and a Serve the customer in the order that they arrive. There were people getting tires that came in much after me that left before me, unacceptable. They also put white grease on the tires during installation and did not clean it off, I had to clean the tires when I got home. You had too many employees standing around socializing I will not be back to this location. The location on HWY6 I usually go to has better service, I will go there next time. read more

The first time I went to Discount Tire was after a dealership tried to sell me two new tires for my 5-month old car because I had a nail in one of the front tires. Discount Tire removed the tire, showed it to me, explained why they are able to fix it, and patched it for free. I was so impressed with what they had to offer that I purchased the $15/tire insurance. If they couldn't fix it for free, they would replace it for free. Well, we were out of town on our way home for Thanksgiving when we got a flat. I was too far from home to just use my spare for the next five hours, so I had to purchase a replacement. I called Discount Tire to ask if the insurance still applied even though I was not close to a store. "Absolutely" was the answer I received. They told me the most important thing was that I got home safely to my family for the holidays. I purchased a replacement tire, drove home, made my way to Discount Tire where they refunded me for the tire purchase. It didn't stop there... they then gave me a brand new tire to match my other ones already on my vehicle and rotated and balanced all tires FOR FREE (as it was covered in my insurance). The company treats me how I would want someone to treat my child. When I moved to Cypress, I was excited to have a Discount Tire so close. My expectations were clearly high, but Discount Tire on Barker Cypress exceeded my expectations. I took my car in to get looked at on a Saturday. I was expecting a quick fix, but I ended up needing two new tires. They provided me a number of options for new tires but respected my budget when making a recommendation. It was sunny without a chance of rain, so I brought my dog with me, dropped off the car, and took my dog for a walk. I got back, but my car was not yet finished, so my dog and I took a seat outside on the curb in the corner of the parking lot under a tree. No more than five minutes went by before one of the employees came out with two water bottles: one for me, one for my dog. My car was without two tires when an impromptu storm moved in. The staff welcomed both my dog and I to come inside out of the rain until the car was ready. I'm a Discount Tire girl for life! read more

Had a FANTASTIC experience here. Just before leaving on a trip to Waco to visit my grandchildren I noticed a tire was 8 Lbs low. Went here and they and my car in and out in less than 30 minutes repairing a nail in the tire. No charge. Went back for a new set of tires when I needed them. They were very nice and concerned about my well being and gave me a great price on a tire so I could make it back home. They checked all of my tires and even checked my spare to ensure my safety. Discount tire has to be the only place i go for tires. Today i came in because toyota told me my tire is damaged and needed new tire. I didnt wanna buy from toyota because theyre way more expensive, they dont specialize in tire and they dont have guarantees for their tires. When i came in to discount tire, i told them i wanna buy a new tire ( thinking since toyota said its damaged it must be famaged). The associate told me hell check to make sure, if its repairable then hell repair it, if its not then theyll be happy to order new tire for me. I came back the next day he told me i didnt have to pay for anything because they repaired it. Wow, that tire was not even from them. I thought that was such good service. Ive been to discount tire many times for tire pressure problem and they were happy to help me without charging me for service.
