Great experience at the Fenton location! The guys at the counter were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. I got a flat tire on my camper while driving up north and had to change it on the side of the road. When I arrived, they had the replacement tire in stock, mounted it on a new rim (since my original rim was bent), and had me back on the road in less than 30 minutes. Unfortunately, on my way home from Higgins Lake, my other camper tire blew. I stopped at the Saginaw location, where the service representative was kind, but they weren't nearly as efficient and didn't have the same inventory available. My son suggested calling the Fenton location, and I'm so glad we did. They had the exact tire I needed, told me it would be ready when I arrived, and it was waiting for me. The whole process was smooth and hassle-free. Two thumbs up to the Fenton team! Keep up the outstanding customer service, excellent time management, and seamless operation. The employees are pleasant enough, and they do hustle. But I had an appointment at 9:15 and they didn't get my car in until 10:40. When I asked how many people had an appointment at the same time as me, the technician basically said anyone who wanted one. They don't limit the number of people who sign up for an appointment. So 1 or 50 or 100 people could sign up for the same time. If this is their practice, why even provide an opportunity to make appointments? read more

While we've always used Discount Tire, we had recently moved and this was my first time at the Owen Rd. store in Fenton. At luck would have it, within a week of getting the tires installed, I found one of mu hub caps missing. I went back to Discount Tire and explained what had happened. There was no hesitation, excuses, or sideways looks, they simply said, "we'll replace the cap, no problem." This was the type of service that seems lost on a lot of companies these days. I brought my vehicle in for a tire leak repair. After removing the tire from the rim, the technician informed me that the tire was not repairable because the previous owner had installed a plug incorrectly. being in college with no extra money to spend on one tire, especially since the old tire had been driven on for the last couple months with just having to refill with air I asked if they could remount the tire so I could decide what to do next. They refused and told me they would not put the tire back on under any circumstances. They should have noticed the plug before hand and refused service before forcing me into buying a new tire after I tried refusing more than 4 times, Instead, the tire was taken off, and then i was informed it was unrepairable leaving me with no option but to purchase a replacement from them in order to leave with a usable vehicle. The salesman seemed very rude and forcing when telling me they would not put the tire back on after I had asked them too and after a couple minutes of me trying to explain I was not interested in a new tire, they finally ended up giving a discount on the tire, once again forcing me to buy a new tire, but this situation should have 100% been avoidable. I am now left with one tire that is different from the rest, which is discouraged on there website, and I will most definitely not be bringing any more of my business back here. read more

I've been using Fenton Discount for close to 30 years and have always been pleased with their service and professional manner in dealing with me. For over 6 years they rotated my tires for free when l was using lease cars. Just got a new set of Michelin tires for what l expected to pay. I find it's always best to make appointments and be patient if you have to wait in their comfortable wait room. The good reviews totally outweigh the bad ones and nothing is perfect. I am sorry for those who had a bad experience. Sometimes l am dubious about the legitimacy of some of the gripes that can reflect the anger and impatience inherent in our culture these days. And yes, during that time l had occasion to wait, but l am a patient soul! read more

These guys and gals took care of me exceptionally. I bought the car two years ago and this was the first time replacing the tires. When they pulled off the tires I lost ALL of my tire pressure sensors. This is a ten year old vehicle and it was time for them to go, Most people don't get that. They offered me a fantastic deal for replacement and got me on my way. The manager was excellent and they handled me well. Highly recommend. I have been here a few times and always great and fast service. Today I went in cause my tire was going flat. They took me in right away. Service guy said tire may not be fixable and other tires were low as well. 15 mins later they said my rear tire had a nail in it and they fixed it. The replaced all the stems and cleaned out the build up around the rims. Also filled all the tires to the correct pressure.....I was out of there in 15 mins and the bill was...NO CHARGE!!! So great service. Fixed my tired and didn't charge me. You don't see that in the auto business very often. This place is great. You should for sure go here for all your tire needs!! read more

Just installed the summer wheels on my wife's car following a fresh set of Pirelli P-Zero run-flats installed by Discount Tire (DT) of Fenton, MI. Overall, we are not upset, just a little disappointed. After putting the car back on the ground and going through the TPMS reset process, we got an error message which was caused by one of the tires having only 2 psi of air pressure. I tried to add air, but it would just blast out of the valve stem. In removing the valve stem core, I found that the core installed by DT was missing the tiny plastic seal that is needed to keep air in the tire. I'm wondering how the technician missed air blasting out of the valve stem after filling the tire with air. Glad the awesome AutoZone store in Fenton was still open. Also, if you choose to use DT of Fenton, before you go, be sure to completely remove the existing lead weights and "sticky pad" which keeps the weights attached to the wheel: I failed to do that, and while DT removed the old weights, they left the sticky pad behind. While that in itself is no big deal, the fact that on two of the wheels DT installed new weights partially overlapping the old sticky pad, resulting in weights that are far from secure, speaks to a mediocre attention to detail and quality. At this time, I can't recommend DT of Fenton, MI to my family and friends. read more
