Recently we did a 6000 mile road trip across America & tooling down I70 in Colorado the unthinkable happened, literally in the middle of nowhere my right rear tire blew!! Thankfully no accident, actually it was just me, I70 A couple of Turkey buzzards & miles & miles of Scrub!! I called a service on my cell phone, where are you They said? Actually i have no idea, my GPS says I'm in Colorado 10 miles from Mack, no we need a mile marker, but no mile marker, call 911. 911 for a blown tire?????? Luckily a CO State trooper pulled up, helped me in 5 mins to get the donut on & 30 mins later i find myself at discount tire in Grand Junction CO, a great way to start the day, but they had 2 tires in stock that met my needs, tuned out i had a goose egg on left rear & needed 2 tires, they worked speedily & professionally to replace my tires, even recommended a great little Mexican joint for lunch,Tequila's Mexican Restaurant , 2560 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO which was excellent & got me back on the road in No time, even after i got home & found out i lost the invoice they promptly agreed to mail me a new one, so i claim refund. The guys here are great. I was in the middle of a cross country trip and had just driven 36 hours straight while trailering my motorcycle trailer behind me. We arrived in Grand Junction at 4:45 pm on a Saturday completely exhausted, only to find all my trailer tires bald to the belt. Well- I would love to give this place a five star review .... we have used them in the past and have been pleased. However, after going on their website to see about a particular tire and size, the website said I would have to call the store and speak to an associate. That's where the problem is- I was literally on the phone for 9 1/2 minutes listening to a recording telling me all their associates were busy ( and that I could find all information online...... Ummm , obviously not) . I finally hung up. Tried several more times throughout the morning and never spoke to a live person. Just need a price because I know this particular tire will need to be ordered so I was going to compare prices. Guess I'll go to the other tire store that was able to assist me. read more

I went in today to get a patch on my tire that was leaking, they did this for free, very nice. However, they sheared off one of the five studs when removing the tire which is very frustrating! I HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE AT THIS STORE TODAY. We are towing a 32-foot 5th wheel from California to Pennsylvania and back covering the next four months. We had a tire rupture under the tread while towing. Fortunately, it held air and we made it safely to Grand Junction. This was the second tire to rupture on the truck since February. The tires had only 22,000 miles on them. I went to the store expecting some resistance to my desire to replace all the tires under the warranty, even though only one had failed at this time. However, the track record for these tires on my truck was not good and my confidence for the remaining tires was at a very low level considering what lay ahead. I explained this to Daniel and he and the Store Manager looked at the tires on the truck and made an extremely fair offer to replace four tires with new, even higher rated tires. I know now why the place was so busy when we arrived. They are very fair, courteous, knowledgeable, and they listen. I find few businesses that have all of those qualities. Finally, as busy as they were we were in and out in an hour. Great Job Guys! read more

Like most of the reviewers, my husband and I were on a road trip. We found out on Green River, UT that not only was our front passenger tire flat as a pancake, but when my husband was changing it, he saw the treads were separating on the front driver side tire also! We were traveling fast and light due to a family emergency, and on a shoe string budget! We carefully drove to Grand Junction, and luckily found this Discount Tire. After requesting one tire, the tech came back and said we needed two! No way we could afford it right then! We explain this to the text with a little embarrassment, and he tells us he wouldn't feel right sending us off with one tire when he knows we wouldn't be safe, and says that he will price the second as a warranty. Two tires for the price of one! Our car tires were replaced quickly and professionally, and we were back on our way. I called a few tire places yesterday and not only was Justin knowledgable and courteous on the phone, Discount had the best price by $35/tire from other competitors. When I arrived today there was a pretty full waiting room but they had many bays open and I got 4 new tires at a great price and it took less than 40 minutes. this store in grand junction co. is the greastest of all the store i have traded with. i am from central texas and vacationing in lake city co. and punctured a tire and needed a new set. i called the discount tire store in grand junction co. and they had the tires for my truck. i said i would be there before noon the next day and they said o.k.. i pulled into the parking lot of the store at 10 a.m. and before i could get out of my truck dan called me to say they had the tires ready to put on. i told him i had just pulled in and he met me outside and got all the info and started on my truck immediately and we were out of there in less than 45 min. our stores in waco tx. i would have to wait at least 2 hours after making an appointment. this store in grand junction is the greatest and all employees are very courtious and helpful. also my wife is in a wheel chair and has a service dog and i have a dog also and we were all welcome inside the lobby. john d. ondrej aquilla, texas read more
