I cannot say enough good things about Hilliard Tire & Auto Service. Terry and his crew went above and beyond to ensure that my car was safe and running well. I knew that I desperately needed a wheel alignment and that I may also need the tie rods replaced. Because of the age of my car, this was the case. I understand that doing an alignment without replacing the worn out tie rods would only result in paying for another alignment in the not so distant future. Terry explained what needed to be done and the cost involved. The work was completed and my car drives great now. As a female, I have been told that my car needed costly repairs done that were absolutely not necessary. Many shops try and take advantage and it's not always easy to trust people when it comes to work done by a mechanic. Hilliard Tire & Auto came highly recommended to me and because of the great work and excellent customer service that I received, I'll now recommended Terry and his crew to my friends and family. Long short, took my truck in for 1 repair, but there were actually 2 issues and I did not catch the second issue until I got my truck back and was looking over their repair. Bruce the Tech said he felt he should have caught the second issue and offered to repair it for a very large discounted price. The first repair was already done for about half what the dealer would have wanted and the second repair was much more labor intensive. All in all I would estimate I paid well under half what the dealer would have quoted. Good people, very friendly. My parents referred me and we will continue to use them. read more

I was there to confront Terry about he charge my cousin for work he did not do the car was still spitting and sputtering took it in for a tune-up he said it did not need one I had to take it to another garage and they fix the problem while I was there Terry proceeded to push me and told me to get the f*** out of his store because I asked for a refund on the work he did not do I do not recommend this place they take advantage of women they charge you work they do not do and then when you confront them they throw you out and call the cops I have made a report and called my bank and declined the payment for lack of service also assault and battery read more

Dropped my truck off because it had a shake. Listed all the parts and procedures that had been done before. Less than 3 hours later they called n said it was fixed. I test drove it with the mechanic and it shook just as bad as when I dropped it off. Was told they didn't know what to do. Charged me $50 to diagnose the problem, which they didn't, and another $50 to balance the already brand new tires that have a life time balancing warranty on. What a joke. I spent $110 , hours of my time for them to tell me to try Rock auto. If u want to take ur car there just bang ur head against the wall, burn a $100 bill n save yourself the time. read more

Typically a very big proponent of shopping local and using the smaller companies, which is how I found these guys in the first place, but I would steer clear. If you do go here, which I do not recommend, do not ask questions as you will be screamed at in response and, even if you are a well educated individual, treated as if you are a child and understand nothing. The man I worked with was irrational, defensive, and honestly just rude. His coworker even seemed to agree. Now, I work in retail, I understand not every customer is a walk in the park, but I would be fired if I spoke to customers the way I was talked to. His language was degrading and to top it off, as soon as he thought I was gone, burst into laughter at my expense. Terrible customer service and lies, not my style. read more

I took these folks brand new, in the box, cast aluminum mags for tires and balancing. When I got them home I realized that they had used standard, clamp-on wheel weights to do the balancing; not only that but they had applied one to the visible outside of a rim. Now, every other shop I have used over my 30 years of street rodding would have used tape weights on the inside of the rim so as not to scratch or dent the aluminum and to not ruin the appearance of a custom rim. When I had them remove the weight it had, of course, scratched the rim and left indents in the rim's edge. It would have been even worse if the shop owner hadn't stopped his staff from removing the weight with the steel pry tool they initially wanted to use. These folks might be OK for daily driver vehicles with steel wheels but keep any work for custom cars away from them. They haven't got a clue. read more

My repairs took a day and a half not the 2 to 3 hours promised , My bill was almost 300 dollars higher than quoted and when I complained I was told in a very loud voice to deal with it and this is the price. my daughter who was out of town took her vehicle to this place for repair the bill came to over 800.00dollars and of course being her father I paid the bill, When I showed up there to pay the bill the person behind the counter seemed lost in helping me out ,asked me to please wait about 15 minuets later he finally helped me and then seemed very short in temper to help me and then I asked for a explanation of the work which was done he seemed to be very avoidance in exactly what repair was done and it was on the repair order and the technician that did the work was on a test drive . my daughter called me the next day saying she was having the same problem and I told her not to drive back up here but to take it to her local repair shop down there and have them call me .The repair shop whom I have trusted for many years told me that the front hub bearing that was replaced was not tightened up and now needed replaced again as it was now damaged and the brake caliper where it attaches was installed improperly and it has ruined the threads to the part where it attaches and has now ruined the new brakes which was installed as well and further more the lugnuts on the rear were not tightened at all 2 of then needed replaced ... now I am out more money , I have tried to contact the owner of Hilliard tire and left several messages even stating that I want a full refund and the other damages paid for because of the lack of correct repair that was done and to my surprise none of my calls have been , I nor any of my family members will never return again and I will not recommend this place at all , And to think my daughter was on a 2 hour drive in a unsafe repair .. read more
