Cody gave us a great deal on our tires (we had a puncture I worn tires) and was honest with us about tire life span and offered a flat repair free if we decided not to buy tires. They took care of us quickly. I am a hobby mechanic and always watch to see how they take care of my car. This is the only place they clean off your brake disks and actually torque your lugs down instead of drilling the lugs down. I recently moved into the Hanover Park area and decided to get some new snow tires this past winter and found some at an affordable price and decided to purchase them with the warranty and I noticed after driving on the express way a loud noise from the rear and just thought it was from the winter tires! After three weeks of this I took it back to Discount Tires because of the warranty and they tell me the rear passenger tire was installed incorrectly since they are directional tires!!!!!???? Told me the tire wasn't damaged, long story short I had to replace these tires within 3 months! So fast forward to the summer of 2019, I take my car in for a simple plug/patch, salesman immediately tried to sale me tires, I suggested no thanks and after a hour they reveal I have a nail in the inside of the tire and couldn't plug/patch the tire, and left the tire off the rim in my trunk, leaving a complete mess of my trunk! WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION OR COMPANY AGAIN! Will never suggest this business to anyone! read more

Great team of guys at this Discount Tire. Saved the day for me today. My husband got a nail in one of his truck tires. I called Discount Tire and was assisted by Leo. Leo was friendly and professional and told me to bring it over and they would take care of it. We buy all our tires at Discount Tire and clearly one can see why. As soon as I arrived, I was immediately greeted by Leo. Adrian took over to ensure the repair was handled promptly. Adrian even took care of cleaning the rim to avoid air leaks. Luca added some friendly reassurance that tire repair was no problem at all. Kevin finished up the repair and in no time I was back on the road. I visited your store located at 1470 Irving Park Road Hanover Park, IL 60133 on September 9th due to a tire that blew out on me while driving on the expressway. The tire was not repairable and needed to be replaced. To make a long story short, I was very short on cash that week. Your manager, Adrian, was kind enough to LEND me a tire until I could come back to purchase new tires. He LENT me a brand new tire!! What company does that? What company cares this much about their customers individual needs & unique situations? I know why he did it, he did it so that I'd feel compelled to come back to DT to get all 4 of my tires replaced when the time came. (smart marketing move!) He also did it because he was a kind person. Obviously Adrian was given the green light to make mindful decisions & use his best judgement in these types of situations by his Management team. That's smart business!! On October 17th, that is exactly what I did. I bought 4 new tires from Brian, the Manager with an extended warranty. They price matched, didn't have all 4 in stock so they upgraded me to a slightly better tire AND gave me a slightly lower price on the per tire warranty. Brian, Adrian and Tim were all very respectful to me. That means a lot to a female customer in a male dominated business. I had an appointment at 8am for the install, I was back on the road to work by 8:36 - NO KIDDING! Everyone was professional, polite and just plain awesome! The store is absolutely immaculate. I was not offered water or coffee (that's ok!) but Brian offered a nice cold bottle of water or coffee to another customer. What a nice service! I did some research and see this company had humble beginnings. I'm glad Bruce Halle was successful! I was also glad to find out that DT is closed on Sundays to allow for its employees a day of rest, worship & family time. That's awesome! I will never purchase tires anywhere else!! This shop is the best car-related place I've ever been to! I worked with the manager, Tim who initially gave me two quotes. I went to a few other places for more quotes and theirs was the cheapest. I decided a few days later that I wanted a better tire (which obviously cost a lot more money) and asked for a quote. Again, they were competitive. When I came in to get the 4 tires, he price-matched Costco and I saved over $100. It only took 45 minutes for them to install the tires and Nick, the service guy doing the installation, gave me a few updates and let me know at the 10 minute mark it would be ready so I could start packing up my laptop, etc. The guys here are EXTREMELY friendly and definitely not out to get your money. The customer service, prices, selection, etc. are fantastic. I could go on and on - DT is definitely the place to go for tires. read more

After having tires installed on my car, a hydraulic leak developed on my auto leveling system. At first an unnoticeable drip then eventually a steady stream. This took about 2 weeks and about 1100 miles. When I inspected the leak, I found a bracket that was holding the hydraulic lines bent up. My opinion this was done by the technician working on the car not lifting it properly. After contacting and many calls to Discount tire, an adjuster was sent to look at the car. It was not able to be driven at this point. He submitted the claim and discount tire denied any responsibility. This was clearly their fault. Their equipment can cause this damage if not used properly. They say the tech did everything properly. Well if he did, there would not be any damage. Word to the wise, don't ever let your car leave your sight when the person working on your car isn't a certificated technician. Most of these kids working there are hard working and do things correctly. But watch out for the ones that don't and take short cuts, that's how this happened. Good tire price but not worth the damage they wont own up to. read more

very wonderful customer service. as an asian woman, ive often been treated unfairly at male-dominated establishments, especially when cars are involved. with that said, the nissan dealer where i bought my car has been hounding me to get my tires replaced -- from them, no less. growing with a dad who was a mechanic, i know my way around cars and can "read" tires. i hadnt even put 10k miles on those tires when they told me to buy new ones. finally, the time had come. i researched several tire stores and even though THIS particular store didnt have a lot of reviews at the time, i went with them because just a few weeks before, my husbands tire kept losing air. when i brought it to them (since theyre closest to home), the manager (chris, i think ... ??) said they would look at it and determine at that time if i needed a new tire. they were able to patch it up (there was a small puncture) and its perfectly fine now (that was about 500 miles ago). as for my balding, treadless tires, the manager explained to me how to understand tires and tread ... the reason im mentioning this part of the experience is because of HOW he explained it. he did it in such a matter-of-fact way like most people do when conversing versus telling it to me like he was explaining the ABCs to a 3 yr old. thats a huge bonus. ive since recommended two friends to them and they've also had very good experiences. read more
