BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE!! We just had the WORST experience with this place!! SAVE YOURSELF SOME HEADACHES AND DO NOT GO THERE!! The manager is IRRESPONSIBLE and has the WORST communication and customer service skills, and they totally messed up our car after charging us for the work we DID NOT agree to. They told my husband the car cannot be fixed, then they went ahead and intend to fix the car WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION, then ask for $1100 for a job we DID NOT AGREE TO, and now the car is all messed up and not functioning right!!! We will NEVER go back there and would warm everyone around us to NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE!!! Be aware of this location 1655 Irving park road Hanover park IL.Specially the manager .he is very irresponsible worst cummunication and customer services skills.totally unprofessional I purchased life time alignment for my car from carx.i called for appointment on 6th aug 2024 he said you come today anytime without appointment ,when I reach at their location he said we are very busy u come some other time .I took another day appointment on 14th aug 2024 at 10 am when I reach there 2nd time he said I have shortage of staff u come after 4 pm .same day when I go there again after 4 pm he said I am unable to fullfill your appointment .I said if u are unable to provide services why u called me after 4 pm again .then he said ok wait 25 mints we will see you car.i waited almost forty minutes inside the waiting area after that he came inside and finally told me we are unable to give you services today.on hearing this I asked him this is unprofessional attitude and customer services if you are not fulfilling my appointment why called me 2nd time same day. He start misbehaving and said you are not the centre of world for me its not my problem to give you services Bec I have shortage of staff.his body language was very harsh.then I told him its fine I am not coming to your location in future and will give reviews about u and exit the shop when I sit in my car leaving the lot he rushed toward me aggressively again and start misbehaving again.i told him I am not going to arguing with u and left the parking lot. Went for Oil Change. He gave me more than $2500 estimate for repairs. I said I will think about the repairs. But he insisted on getting repair done. And he refused to do the oil change without the repair. I find it very ripoff place. I do not recommend to anyone. read more

Javier, Hugo and Guillermo are rock stars. I don't go ANYWHERE else to get work done on my car. I've had brakes done, wheel alignments, oil changes, radiator flushes...you name it. And they always do an outstanding job. I'm a 65 year old retired guys who does Doordash to supplement my social security and my van is very important for me. I had brake lights that went out and these guys busted their butts to get it fixed and very reasonable too. Don't bother with any other places to get work done on your car. I had a grinding noise coming from the left rear end. I went in and talked to the manager, Armando Robles. Although I was actually there before they actually opened, he got right on it and had me on the road with the repairs. He worked with me and my budget. These guys are great! I went in for an oil change I was happy about the price and service of the oil change, Then the manager tells me my brakes are gone and need pads and rotors all the way around and quotes me $1200.00, I'm not stupid I want to AutoZone bought new pads and rotors for $300. I was having a friend install them for me for a zero cost fee. We start taking things apart the front pads are perfect front rotors are perfect. Put everything back together then started on the rear wheels, we took a micrometer measured the new rotors to the rotors that are on the car they are perfect the only thing I needed to change was the rear pads. Had listen to the manager at car x I would of been out 1200.00 hey honestly don't think they have good skill setting and try to upsell everything you was to say I won't be taking my car there any longer. They are a bunch of scam artists. I suggest if you take your automobile there you get a second and third opinion before you go upon their decisions. read more

Very kind manager Kevin and staff on the phone and in person. Prices are fair and competitive. They were able to install the break pads that I purchased myself in order to save money. There is a nice waiting room with free wifi and tv, very comfortable place to wait. They took me in to look at my car so that I would understand what condition it is in and were thorough in explaining things to me. I felt valued and taken care of here, no rip offs or unnecessary charges also free carfax with the repairs. I will definitely return for future repairs. read more

I usually do my own auto repairs but once in awhile i don't have the tool or the time and do need to take my car to someone else. I do my own repairs because i don't trust repair facilities. I've tried other facilities over the years up and down irving park (just tires, firestone, etc) and always left gotten ripped off, blown off, or feeling i just could have done a better job myself. This is honestly the ONLY place I feel comfortable taking my car. Chris there is very personable and truly interested in getting the repairs done right. Its hard for me to trust someone else working on my car....but I've personally only had positive experiences here. read more

First let me say this place is amazing. Just brought my truck in for repair and while talking to the management David and Kevin. I was informed that the work that needed to be done on my particular truck would unfortunately start me down a long and very expensive repair. They explained to me in great detail excalty everything that this repair would in tale. After taking it all in i have to unfortunately do excalty what my wife (she thinks shes's always right) is constantly trying to suggest just let it go. It is refreshing this day in age to come across a place that is honest even if it means they dont receive your business on that particular day. If I could give it zero stars I would in a heartbeat. NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! I've had to come here 8 times within the past two months for the same issue with my o2 sensor because they can't seem to actually fix it. The most recent time I visited for them to, once again, fix the problem they had already "fixed", I was told it would be 3-4 hours until it was done and would receive a call when it was finished. Four hours later, I had yet to receive a call, and upon arriving at the shop, it was completely closed down. I was left with no car for a day when I never agreed to such terms and was never even told such things were happening. The next day, despite having four hours to work on my car the previous day (when I had a set appointment) it took them an additional two hours to work on my car. I then called them (still hadn't gotten a call from them) and they said it was still not done. This experience is ridiculous and I would never return here nor recommend to anyone who needs even the simplest work done to their car. read more

I had noticed a rattling noise under my car and went to Car-x to have it inspected. Turns out that I had issues with my catalytic converter and while it was not causing any major issues I decided to have it replaced. Service was great and they were able to start work on my car right away. I dropped off my car and 2 hours later I got the call saying my car was ready. read more

This place is horrible. I go to any CarX closest to me. I've been taking my car to them for 4 years now. So when my car stopped I immediately googled the nearest CarX. I got my car there they said it was the starter. I paid for the starter thanked them for their services and suspected all was well. Then a week later it did the same thing. I called CarX told them they said they would take a look at it they did and said it was the fuel injector. Trusting them I paid for the tow and the new parts and labor not even questioning it because sometimes it happens. But then it happens again! Same exact issue! I called to see if they would try and help they basically said I may have to pay for another service. So I took it for a second opinion And they said it was still a problem with the starter wires. Which I knew because usually when lights go in and out it's a wire problem somewhere. But hey I'm not a professional so I went along with their expertise. But no progress. By now I've spent 300$ in rowing about 600$ in auto services and about 120$ in Lyft and Uber rides. So I called corporate and spoke to Diana. She basically said she would take car of it talking to the district manager so it would be no cost to me. But no guarantee what the shop would say. The manager of the district contacted and said he would try but no guarantee. He got my car towed and and fixed with no cost to me!! Which meant I was right they did Miss diagnose my car. So with that said never go to CarX in Hanover park . Every other location is the BOMB.com!! Especially PALATINE LOCATION! read more

This place is the worst. I drove my car in after hours and dropped the keys in the drop box. In the morning, they claimed the car would not start and that I needed the starter motor replaced. Either it died overnight while sitting in their parking lot or someone was trying to take advantage of me. When I did complain they offered to tow the car back to me at a cost. read more

One piece of advice - STAY AWAY. I had brakes replaced on my car two months ago and it took four attempts for them to finally fix them correctly. Each time I went to CarX, they only made excuses and basically ignored everything I was saying and said the brakes sounded fine to them. Finally, it is fixed but never again. read more
