I have been dealing with them since they opened in. I have always been very happy. But they have become very greedy on the price they charge to mount and dismount snow tires. Amazing customer service. They changed my tire in just a matter of minutes, filled all the air pressure on my trailer, and got me out of there quickly! Highly recommended! UPDATE: After a great experience (rated at 5 stars) I had a blow out. Normally I wouldn't change a rating over that... until futher investigation revealed that they had inflated all my tires to 80psi... the max was 65psi. This mistake cost me $500 (cost of repairs to the trailer, tire, and hotel) What they had in super customer service was completely reversed by hiring and incompetent employee who performed a rookie mistake, and cost me big time. read more

They were great at helping find the best tires for our needs, even swapping out to a different more affordable tire size then the ones that were on there already. Approximately 12,000 miles ago I purchased tires at Discount Tire primarily because they had my size in stock & I had a pressing engagement in another city and didn't wish to travel that distance on the 'donut' tire that came with my vehicle. Since then I've had two 6,000 mile rotations performed. The first one I didn't pay much attention but this one I saw exactly what they performed for a 6,000 mile tire rotation. Besides the rotation, they checked for wheel imbalance, reset the tire pressure monitoring system, inflated tires to my specified pressure setting, and torqued the bolts down. All that in addition to rotating my tires. That's an awful lot of TLC for a free gratis service. Just one of the reasons I am such a fan of Discount Tire. read more

I used to buy my tires at Costco but when Costco changed their policy and started charging me to swap out my snowtires I started shopping for tires at Discount Tires. I've purchased my tires at Discount Tires for several vehicles in the last several years. I recently bought a new truck that needed it wheels balanced. I took my truck to Discount Tires expecting to pay $16 per wheel for balancing. When I returned to pick my truck up when they were done I was handed my paperwork and was told "your all set", I replied "there's no charge?" "No" was their reply. I like this place. I have bought 3 sets of tires for different vehiclesl now from Discount the last 3 years. The staff seems very knowledgeable on tire questions. I shop around extensively on-line for pricing and found Discount to have prices as good as anywhere. The last two purchases, I got rebates which helped even more on the pocketbook. The negatives are that they don't do alignments, and it can take up to 5 hours to get a new set of tires put on if they are busy. Listening to the staff, it doesn't seem easy to get an appointment and most sales are handled as walk-ins. I will buy tires here again. read more

Nothing but praise for these folks. Courteous from the minute you walk in the door to the minute you walk out. They've helped me twice, both times at no charge. The first visit was just for a tire pressure issue, and I didn't expect to be charged for that, but also didn't expect such courteous treatment. I'm a woman and have experienced a lot of not great customer service when it came to my cars. My most recent visit was to have the tires balanced. Excellent service from start to finish and no charge. I was shocked. I'm not making a big deal out of this because I think you won't be charged for services when you go there, but because this is how businesses create loyalty in their customers. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase tires from these guys, especially as a woman. I believe they are honest and would not attempt to oversell. I don't even live in Coeur d'Alene. I just visit my daughters here. I drive from Oregon, where there is no sales tax. Very nice staff and employees. I'm not very auto-literate, but they were patient and informative and made the whole process of buying new tires easy and cost effective. Went to Discount today 8/30/2018 tires still not in. Not one call from Discount. Discount showed no interest. This would have been the sixth time I purchased four tires from Discount. Wow, this is the type of business that understands customer service!! We were visiting from out of town and on our way over, one of our tires busted, so we were sporting the dinky spare for a good 50 miles on a Friday night. We prayed that the next morning we could get a new tire somewhere in Hayden and for a decent price because we had major plans at 11:00am. We were elated that there was a Discount Tire nearby with good Yelp reviews so my husband took the car in Saturday morning. A gentleman named Michael Jordan helped my husband and found out they didn't have the same tire in stock and it would take 2 days to get to us. Because my husband had the paperwork for our other tires that were purchased at Discount Tire in our hometown, he was willing to match the price for better ones since they didn't have the ones we wanted in stock. We were able to replace the other back tire to match as well since we wanted to do that anyway. What was impressive was how Michael gave my husband every possible option, including finding a used one and never tried to inspect and sell him another tire (even though we already knew we needed one more). He was patient, thorough and helpful and we truly appreciated his willingness to match the price and make us happy. My husband had to wait quite a while for the tires to be put on, but we were still able to make our plans and we couldn't have been more satisfied with our experience. Normally, you expect tire places to tell you how bad all your tires are or how they can't just replace ONE because it would go against their safety practices, etc., bullshit, etc., but this Discount Tire and the one in my area have both set a new standard of service. read more

18 months ago bought a new set of wheels and tires. After 12 months, had problem with leak from corrosion at tire and wheel bead. After it happened again, I took the wheels back. Was told they never had this problem before, however, noticed that they were not carrying these wheels anymore. All they would do for me was offer me a credit for two wheels to go towards a purchase of four more wheels of the same manufacturer. Not sure why I would want the same wheel. But don't think this was the right way to treat someone who spent $2,000.00 there. read more

I was extremely impressed with my visit on Friday! My tires were BALD and of course I waited until the last possible minute to get them changed. Mike was able to get me a quote for about half the price of what three other competitors quoted me before. Although he could not give me a same day appointment (I wouldn't expect him to) I went into the store and waited less than an hour while he squeezed me in. I went to this tire store because my family had done business here before and was always happy. It all was going well until the assistant manager chris lied to me in order to sell more items. He told me it was against the law for me to not buy tire pressure monitoring sensors for my wheels i just purchased. He then charged me $240 for these 4 sensors. I ended up paying for it, but then decided to check and see if this was really the case. I called a competitor of theirs and asked if this was really the case. He told me it wasn't and I should call the manager there and make a complaint. read more

Purchased 4 new Goodyear tires, promised 4 days late. The car immediately had a thump ,thump thump. Called brought it back they checked the balance said their was nothing wrong still had the thump. I called again I was told it will flatten out with driving... It did not..After 3,000 miles of being shaken they rotated the tires. The car now took an immediate left when you take your hands off the wheel.I was told to bring it back so they could drive it. They did and then they offered me more expensive tires and 1/2 price to change them out. I agreed. Brought it back again. For some reason they removed the the front brake dust covers and instilled them backwards I did not get far and the scraping was LOUD. brought it back to have them revers the covers . Not happy. They play a good game they make you feel good before the sale after not so much Unless you need air or buy their extra warranty. read more
