When I came out of Meijer in Highland one time, my tire was completely destroyed. I don't know if it had been slashed or what happened, but I had to leave the car in that parking lot overnight, then come back with a ride and Very Slowly drive it over to Discount Tire. When I got it there, the associates were very helpful and understanding. They were friendly and knowledgeable, and they put me at ease very well. They also helped save me money! I have always used Discount Tire for my rotations and tire balances. Make sure to make an appointment, cause if you don't, you'll always wait at least over an hour. I only waited 20 minutes, which was great. Took my car in prior to work and was on my way in no time. The service is great and friendly. The rotation and balance only cost $28, not too shabby. Don't go here! They reel you in with their nice, above and beyond customer service buts it's all BS! My mom went here to get a slow leak on her tired fixed and they insisted ALL her tires were shot and they all needed to be replaced immediately! She knew they were fine b/c she had recently had her oil changed and the dealer told her they were fine! They were obviously trying to take advantage of her, she told them she would think about it and come back and they continued to insist!! How horrible to try to take advantage of an older lady!!!!! The rims on my wheels were old scratched and getting warped and when I wanted new ones I bought them here for a cheaper price than any other place I looked at. I was completely blown away by the outstanding service at this Discount Tire. I walked in without an appointment on a Friday morning and they saw me right away. I was greeted by not one but two staff members who were ready and willing to help. They were extremely polite and courteous and didn't judge when I A) didn't know the model of Jeep Cherokee I had and B) had no clue where my wheel lock was. (I came in because my back right tire had a slow leak.) My salesperson was named Dom. Dom made the entire experience so pleasant, especially for someone who knows nothing about cars or tires. He was able to identify the issue ASAP and I did not have to wait long at all for my car to be serviced. I'm surprised he isn't working for corporate with his immense knowledge and customer service skills! These guys are great. I've taken all of my vehicles (cars and trailers) here since they opened. The service is spectacular. They have swapped out my winter/summer wheels every summer at no cost. I dropped off a loose tire to have a flat repair. I was told that it is appointment only and they will get to it when they can. That was fine as I was on my way to work and I said I would have my wife pick it up 8 hours later when she gets off work. Now first let me say that if you are going to go appointment only you need to get it right. I went in with my car to purchase new tires a different day, was brought in within 30 minutes. So it seems the big dollar sales gets priority. Second I have worked in the auto industry from jiffy lube to ford motor company as a mechanic for 30 years it take a whole 15 minutes to take off a tire, patch and remount- balance. So when my wife got there they had not gotten to it yet. Really. Cmon give me a break. The only reason why I went there was due to the certificate for repair paid for. Again let's get this right we are wasting time on the endless line of people for free air some of which are not even paying customers instead of taking care of the ones that do pay. Don't get me wrong it is a nice thing that they do. Just don't bother making an appointment or stopping by unless you have the whole day to waste. read more

Just came here recently to get a brand new set of tires. Before coming for the install I spoke with Jeff several times over the phone who was very helpful with my selection of tires. Also had help from the store manager Will, who kept his word to me as far as what he offered to do. I was in by 8:10am, out by 9:30am. 3 stars given only because they didn't explain anything to me about the job they did, just basically gave me the car and told me to pay; I like to know what you did, if there were any issues, and inspect the work before settling the account. So rude.. My battery died in their parking lot and they refused to help me call for help or to jump start my battery. They showed no concern for our situation or safety and disregarded the fact that I am disabled and would have needed their assistance to install a new battery. Prices are decent, and they stand by their guarantees, but they will 100% of the time tell you that you need a full set of tires. I go there myself because of the excellent selection and rebates, but it's always an exhausting battle through the B.S. Pretty awful experience this time around. Was forced to put TPMS on (really the Government's fault, not Discount Tire's) despite the fact that I hate the stupid things. Of course one of them failed in 2 days because that's what TPMS does. Also, I brought in a new set of rims to have 17" mounted on, told the salesman I was working with, and then the kids in the garage took the tires off of my stock 18's anyway. They said they rebalanced them when they put them back but the weights haven't moved so I seriously doubt that. Also, they set one of my rims on its face and scuffed it up, which is obviously unacceptable. I keep going back for the prices, selection, and rebates but I'm always frustrated when I'm there... this store is going to be the death of me. read more

Ordered Tires in early December, and was to have them placed on vehicle today. Called ahead of time to clarify schedule, in other words made an appointment. Drove 60 miles from work to this location only to find they lost appointment, new wait time would be 1.5 hrs. Daniel then told me understandably that he could not let me "cut" all the customers that had waited in the waiting room. DID I Mention that I waited an average of over 8 minutes to get a hold of a sales associate every time I have called (many times I gave up). DID I mention I called 3 times today to confirm appointment. DID I mention I have waited since early December to get my tires installed. Not to mention 5 other phones calls and messages with some not even including returns. All you do is wait at this location, I could not even argue with the guy since I did not want to waste any more of my valuable time. Please talk to your sales reps, Bottom line do not tell customers you can place them in line over phone or make appointments, forget to put them into appointment and then have the audacity to tell customer to wait even more. Maybe I will change my mind when my wife gets her "free" tire rotations but something tells me...what do you expect when they give something "free". If you value your appointments and time like some people do then this place, franchise may not be for you. read more

I had a flat tire today on my truck. From my first call, to my visit there, to my leaving was absolutely perfect. The customer service is extremely professional and caring. I didn't have to wait long. The waiting area was clean with free coffee choices and free water. We are new to the area having moved from Illinois and have used Discount Tire for many years. They knew this and did not charge for the repair/balance of the tire even though this was a completely different vehicle and these particular tires were not purchased from them. We have visited this business twice since moving here and both times have been very, very good experiences. We will continue to purchase tires from Discount for years to come. The level of politeness from the employees was really nice to have. I actually look forward to our next visit! read more

This place really sucks......I went tire shopping today. This place had a sales assistant steve...Beware...he will make any kind of false promises to get your business. I did get tires replaced before...they clean and buff the rims...almost any place that sells tires except them. We wanted to cancel transaction when steve said they cannot clean the rims. He promised us to take care of it...and did not do anything about it. He promised the tires he was offering will have better rating than other stores, which is also not true. Well I got a new tire today at the highland discount tire! Looks! Great! One small problem!! THEY DENTED MY BRAND NEW TRUCK!! Had all of three weeks! I spoke with the manager Jeremy and he said they couldn't have done that! I was in the bay next to the observation window and watched multiple crew members walk through the two ft passage way carrying tires and equipment . So obviously no one could of damaged my NEW TRUCK!! Very unresponsive about my concerns and said all he could do was turn it over to claims department. Even though you can see black rubber marks on my paint. I really felt he was so shady I called the police to make my on report and glad I did. He told the cop that I couldn't even see in the shop to claim they dented it. I gladly showed the officer the huge observation window in the store . And then he had enough nerve to tell the cop they changed the left tire so I could not see that side of truck thru the window. To me it doesn't matter what side the tire got changed on. What matters is that there were numerous people walking thru a two foot passage way that were carrying tires and equipment that obviously damaged my truck.. Jeremy it is not the fact that accidents happen, it's the fact as a manager of a business where people depend on you as a service provider and come in your store and spend their hard earned money to get this kind of treatment. I will wait for the claims department to contact me like u said. I know pretty much where that's going and it will be my word over another corporate giant that will just give me a bunch of bs. Have used other locations and I have been satisfied. This place though is not as good, stay away. First I made an appointment, I arrived a bit early, was greeted by less than enthusiastic clerk, who went to inspect my tires on a new car...(was there for flat repair). Got signed in, and was told that since I have an appointment it should be less than 45 min. After about hour passed I inquired if the repair is done, and guess what, they didn't even start on it. I was told I was next. Half hour later they brought my tire saying that the side wall was damaged... (the puncture was right in the middle of the thread) and I was asked if I want to buy new tire. I of course declined at which point I was informed they can't fix it. My car was brought up front, and I was in for nasty surprise... door handles, steering wheel and other surfaces were dirty, like muddy. The same tech who handles your tires drives the car out without changing gloves or putting plastic over the seats. Complaining got me nowhere as the management wasn't really interested (perhaps because I didn't buy their tire?). Highly disappointing, stay away! read more

Bought 4 new tires this week at a reasonable price. As the mechanic was putting on the new tires, I received a call from Pedro telling me that the tire pressure sensors were broken and I owe another $120. I took my boyfriend back in with me so that I could understand why this was necessary, as the tire pressure sensors were not broken before I took my car into the shop. My boyfriend, also a mechanic, said this was not necessary as we did not authorize new tire pressure sensors to be replaced and discount tire broke them in the process. Pedro was the man who called us about the additional services "necessary", but did not confront us in the store with an explanation at all. Instead a manager helped us out and did not charge me in the end. I was disappointed as I felt this man tried to take advantage of customers, specifically women. Overall, I feel discount tire is very customer friendly as they have fixed flat tires for me free of charge in the past. However, this was a disappointing experience. read more
