I went in for a tire rotation and three hub caps. I left with one cap fewer without a word. They broke my wheel cap and hid it from me. I went to check my tires after having my car serviced at my dealership. my dealership tells me I need 2 tires, of course dealership prices are expensive so I search for a discount tire shop. I come here to discount tires and they tell me I need 3 tires! Now I drive the car and I know the tires I've been putting air in recently, which is my right side. So I tell them I want my right side done and the guys says ok after having an attitude I'm not getting all 3 done. They unbeknownst to me did the back tires and not my passenger side like I requested! They say nothing and I find out when I have to put air in my passenger front tire the next morning! The following day I turn on my block and am a lil to close to the curb and my back tire blows out! Like completely gone like I was in an accident! Service was subpar, the lying, and clearly a faulty tire because one bump and my whole tire gone! Smh read more

From the moment I walked I was greeted professionally and assisted. Jose was my sales person who listened to me and help guide me to the best tires for my vehicle. I typically worry that as a woman I may be treated as not having the knowledge of tires I need to avoid paying too much. That was not the case here! Jose did a great job removing any of those concerns! I do not remember the name of the technician who actually did the work. He did came to me to explain and showed me a graph of the work done on my car. He deserves a big kudos for his dedication, expertise and kindness. Stopped by real quick because my low tire light came on, so I can't give a full review. That being said, I had a good experience and some things to note: Driveway/entry to lot: The entry is off the feeder which is pretty busy. Also, the driveway seemed pretty narrow - I couldn't turn in because a truck was taking up most of the driveway trying to turn out. So I passed it up, and luckily the next driveway/turn in at the hotel connected to the back lot of the discount tire. Parking: There's so much parking ! Plenty along the side of the building with the car bays and a whole other lot in the back. Air pump: The line for the tire check was towards the back lot. There was a sign to wait for service. I was a little concerned because I didn't think they'd know I was there. I did have a bit of a wait, but then someone did come out without me having to exit my car. They checked and filled all my tires. I've always appreciated that Discount Tire has a free tire check service! Overall my experience was good. read more

I stopped by here yesterday with an appointment looking to have a tire with a slow leak patched. I have been a Discount Tire customer since I got my license. I was a big fan of their policy of doing patches, rotations, and balances for free and I make sure to balance and rotate my tires at least every 5,000 miles. I was told my relatively new tires were somehow in such bad shape that they couldn't touch them per their policy. I asked if there was any way they could at least patch the leak for now and after a little back and forth begrudgingly they agreed. I was told it would be about half an hour. An hour later they came and told me they couldn't patch it because a previous patch was where the leak was coming from. The patch was done by Discount Tire several months prior...While this whole interaction stayed very polite on both sides I was extremely upset that nothing was done to make things right, seeing as the leak was due to their mistake. The only option that was presented was a set of new tires at full price, which I was not able to afford on the spot like that. The cherry on top was that I had to take off work early for the appointment and waited a total of two hours for absolutely nothing to be done to my tires except filled with air. I do not plan on returning to Discount Tire and I would recommend whoever is reading to do the same. read more

By far THE best of the Discount Tire stores I've been to. I'm sorry I did t get names, but ALL of the staff greeted incoming customers with a smile and a welcoming greeting. I'll definitely return even though this store is out of my way. The technician identified another tire that had a puncture that I had not noticed; very thorough. Appt set for 1, out by 2. My vehicle's tire pressure light came on as I was heading downtown. Ugh. Always disturbing because you just never know, right? Pulled into this location to get an air check. It was a beautiful day and the place was busy. There were about 3 cars in line for the air check alone. Called the number to ask how long this type thing normally took. I mean, I had never been to this location before and was inquiring only to see if I needed to stay or go somewhere else. Not to complain. Robert answered the phone. Super nice guy. He came out to each car and said it would be just a minute but assured we would be taken car of quickly. Jacob got the line moving and even though he was busy he had a great attitude while putting air in my tires. I turned off my engine and enjoyed the music playing in the bays. Got a kick out of the guys singing along which only told me those employees were happy. It was refreshing to see and here. I had an appointment this morning 9:30 am 7-1-22 to replace all tires. The sales person waiting on me had an attitude. I spoke with the manger. He supported his associate. I canceled my order... unacceptable. Called another discount tire location to have tires installed. The manager said they called this location to have the tires picked up. I have never in my life bought my own tires. Single life has brought me to a bend in the road. I was driving my jeep down the highway on a 2 hour trip. I heard a horrible noise, I had to pull over on the side of the highway. My son said, it's not a flat. I was able to finish my errands and get my son safely back home. 1. Discount tires gave me a quote without a tire size. This is a plus even if the quote was wrong. Walmart wouldn't even quote me without a size. They don't care about the VIN # or the make and model. 2. Discount tires price matches! Even though the tires I actually needed would have costed more. Walmart gave me a quote after I was able to get the tire size. Discount tire gave me the tires at the same price. 3. Even though it's not abracadabra your car is ready, they provide free wifi and I was able to work as I had a work project with a deadline! I feel like a grown independent woman. read more

Landed at Hobby airport after a quick business trip up to Dallas and lo and behold I found a beautiful screw in my back tire after the TMPS/low tire pressure warning. I called ahead in hopes they'd be able to plug the tire for me, it was 5:30PM, and I called an other place closer but they said they were closing, so I tried Discount Tire next. Chris answered, and said bring it over, we'll work you in before closing. Check in was smooth and while they were very busy, I only waited about 25 minutes or so before they had me back on my way with a freshly plugged tire. Thanks Chris, Joe and the rest of the team!! Earlier today (during annoying and non-stop rain) all of the tire lights on my mother's new car were on. She immediately became upset and annoyed, but after I calmed her down, I turned to Yelp, did a couple u-turns, and ended up here. I had to ignore the one star in an effort to calm Shirley's nerves... I sent her inside, and I waited in the car. A worker immediately came outside (in the rain) to adjust the tire pressure of all tires. He was patient but also seemed to be thorough. Just moments later, Shirley hopped back in the car with her complimentary bottle of water, for her complimentary service... Maybe this place is working on its one star rating. Their check-in line was efficient. I was asked to park my vehicle and within 5 minutes I was assisted by Victor. He pointed out I had ordered the wrong tire size and although the tires I incorrectly ordered had not arrived, he quickly found the correct tires at another location and had them delivered. I had a nail in my tire and I was in an unfamiliar part of Houston. I took my car to this store and as it turns out my tire had a defect in the sidewall, however the tire was repairable. The store associate, Kevin, tried to sell me 4 new Michelin tires and did not tell me they were under warranty. My tires were at 50% tread wear and did not need to be replaced. I was given incorrect information and they did not help me. In addition, my tire was not repaired because they told me it was time to buy new tires. Juan, the store manager, was helping another customer and he was not helpful. I followed up the next day, and Juan was very rude. He yelled at me on the phone. I will never shop Discount Tire again. This location is probably one of these best in the Houston area. In high school I worked at the Sugar Land location. So I know how services should be taken care of. Since moving to downtown I've used this location about 4-5 times, and every time I have come in they have taken care of me perfectly. They do a great job of getting you in and out. They've even been able to get me in line when en route to store; something that is invaluable to people on the go. Their store is kept neat and tidy; including the restrooms. I have never interacted with a single person that isn't the up most respectful and happy to help the customer. I've been in here twice since COVID started, and they have done a superb job at following guidelines and creating an atmosphere that should put anyone's concerns to ease. Locations like this are what ensure I will be a Discount customer for life. read more

I had a flat tire at 1:40 P.M. going to Hobby Airport to pick a friend up at 2:00 P.M. he helped me as soon as I pulled in and all the way through the process I was gone by 2:12. This was my first time coming to this location and I don't know if I'll be back. It took over an hour (more than my lunch break) to get a tire rotation and balance for a visit I made with an appointment. If they weren't able to help me at my appointment time, it would have been nice to know ahead of time before wasting my time; i wouldn't have come. Only one bay was in operation the entire time I was here waiting. I've never seen only one bay in operation at all my years of coming to discount tire stores.. no matter what time of day. To sum it all up, the car sat for 45 minutes before being touched and the work performed only took 10-15 minutes. There were only 3 people in the lobby area when I arrived. read more

Arrived and Ishmael walked out and greeted me with a handshake. They looked at it. Found a nail puncture right down the middle. They are fixing it free of charge as it's covered under the warranty. I've been coming to this location forever. Today I came to get a tire patched. They did the usual tire check and the guy actually came back and told me my tire was leaking brake fluid. I went outside and saw a bunch of puddles behind and in front of all my tires. I had just come from an area where it was raining heavily so the puddles around my tires were from rain water. Then the guy brushes it off saying "honest mistake". These guys apparently don't know what they are talking about and should leave stuff like that to mechanics. read more

So Happy that I came to this Discount Tire! I walked out on time from work to see a shiny nut embedded deep into my rear passenger tire. Since I hadn't seen a low tire alert on my dash, I wondered if I could wait until Saturday when I would have my car's oil changed to get the tire looked at. Decided to be wise and safe rather than sorry, so I looked up the nearest DT on my phone (didn't use Yelp because unfortunately people create listings for businesses that may have incorrect addresses). I didn't want to find myself somewhere that was not DT. When I called the business, talked to Carlos, asking him if the workload was too heavy for me to have my car's tire looked at asap. He told me not at all and to come in. Only problem is that I'm directionally challenged at times. I thought I was going to the location by Almeda when in actuality, I had called the one near Edgebrook. Lo and behold, I passed up the place and went down and turned around to get back to this location, but hey, what would I have done with an extra 10 minutes with my life if I hadn't passed this place up? Who knows--probably be in traffic. It is near 45! When I arrived, I saw that it wasn't packed so I was relieved I wouldn't spend my entire evening in a tire store. I was probably seen within five minutes upon arriving to the store. My luck, Carlos was the one that waited on me. I explained my dilemma and right away he went to check on if the tire needed a plug, which he said it did. Once I signed off on my paperwork, my car was whisked away to be fixed on within five minutes. I read a newspaper article and was in the middle of my phone call when WALA! my car was ready to get on the road again. Twenty MAYBE thirty minutes tops! Thy even backed my car up so I wouldn't have to and did it with a smile. Bonus for me: Being that my Mom and I have been Discount Tire customers for ages, they plugged my tire for no charge. Had been a little frustrated with the Discount Tires that are nearest me due to their lack of customer service, but this one made me a loyal customer again.
