I was quoted a price for powder coating my wheels and calipers for a slingshot. I verified the…read moreprice on two occasions. After dropping the vehicle off and waiting inside for 20 minutes, I headed home. 15 minutes later, I received a call saying I was given the wrong price and that the actual price would be $75 more per wheel (3 wheels). I did not agree to that and was told they could do it for $35 more per wheel. Then he offered to do it for $100 more than the price I agreed to. After completing the work, he wanted to charge more if I paid by any way other than cash. I originally told them I wanted to use in-house financing. After the work was complete, I was told that they would have to be charged 6% more to finance it. I secured the in-house financing myself and was not charged any additional fees. Once I picked the vehicle up, I noticed the caliper paint was on the brakes. A few days later, I was getting in the slingshot when it started rolling out of my garage and rolled into my car. I figured that I didn't set the emergency brake and put it back in the garage. The next day, the slingshot rolled back and damaged my garage door. I took it to my mechanic, who told me that the e-brake cover had not been properly installed and that one of my calipers had not been screwed back in. The wheels look great, but I was disappointed in how they changed the price, their untruthfulness concerning the financing, and the fact that I had to pay a few hundred dollars for the damage to my garage and my mechanic to correctly install my e-brake cover and caliper. I love the look of the rim, I just hate that they ruined the experience by changing the price and causing other damage.

I typically worry that as a woman I may be treated as not having the knowledge of tires I need to avoid paying too much. That was not the case here! Jose did a great job removing any of those concerns! I do not remember the name of the technician who actually did the work. He did came to me to explain and showed me a graph of the work done on my car. He deserves a big kudos for his dedication, expertise and kindness. I was about to pay a lot more money at the dealership in order to get the work done that I got done at discount tires - my car is running so quiet and so smoothly as a result thank you guys once again !

Also, the driveway seemed pretty narrow - I couldn't turn in because a truck was taking up most of the driveway trying to turn out. So I passed it up, and luckily the next driveway/turn in at the hotel connected to the back lot of the discount tire. Parking: There's so much parking ! Plenty along the side of the building with the car bays and a whole other lot in the back. Air pump: The line for the tire check was towards the back lot. There was a sign to wait for service. I was a little concerned because I didn't think they'd know I was there. I did have a bit of a wait, but then someone did come out without me having to exit my car. They checked and filled all my tires. I've always appreciated that Discount Tire has a free tire check service! Overall my experience was good.
