Thought it was going to be a case of the Mondays when I was on my way to the gym with an alert for low tire pressure. NOPE! There were several guests that were ahead of me but they greeted each and everyone of us. I was in and out with in an hour and a half. Tire patched and rotated at no cost to me. I went to Discount Tire at the Atascocita location on FM 1960. They were incredible. They met me at the front of the parking lot, directed me to a numbered parking space, Shane with customer service came out to meet me and checked all my tires, went inside and he located a match for my car, waited back in my car then I was directed to pull in the open bay for the replacement. Everything was done safely and very efficient. In and out in 45 minutes! Shane my sales personel was great and handled everything very quickly and made sure I was taken care of. Great job! The whole staff did a tremendous job including the shop foreman! He watched every car to make sure NOTHING was missed. The service could not have been any better! Thanks again. Stopped by during the week to check out a tire that was low on my car. At noon they had a line almost to the door. When I got to the counter I told him my problem. He checked it out and I ended up having a nail in my tire. So I had to replace the tire. Thankfully I had purchased a road hazard warranty so they replaced the tire for free. The process took about a hour and a half and I left a happy customer. No complaints here. I am thankful for this great experience. read more

FREE ROTATION....FREE TIRE REPAIR. There is nothing better than a receipt that says total due 0.00!! This location does get pretty busy so I suggest doing it on a weekday if possible. 1 out of 4 tires on my pathfinder is from them but they will do all the rotation and tire repairs on any tire on my car for free. Prices for new tires are competitive. discount might be a little misleading but they have quality brands at reasonable prices. read more

I had a screw in my right rear tire. I scheduled an appointment for Monday, May 9th at 8:30 AM. I arrived at 8:00 AM and there were many people waiting to be helped. Shane came out and asked everyone if they had an appointment and I raised my hand and Shane immediately took my car into a stall. I went into the store and Shane met me and gave me a receipt totaling $0.00. I then received a text message telling me that I could check the status of my repair, which I did. At 8:15 AM Rene came in and gave me the keys to my car and said that the tire was fixed. This Discount Tire is AMAZING and AWESOME. I can understand why there were so many people waiting for assistance . Also, there are many representatives available to assist customers but I recommend that you make an appointment on their website. Thank you Shane and Rene. The Atascocita Discount tire is the worst! Just had my tires rotated and balanced yesterday and have a severe steering wheel shimmy since they balanced. Did not have this issue when I arrived. Which means tires not balanced properly. I called this morning and was told bring it back they would get me right in. I pull up within 15 min and now being told they have gotten busy they will get to my vehicle when they can it's going to be a while!!! I spent 27 years in the automotive business and when a shop has a recheck (there mistake) it should be the #1 concern and focus. I don't expect them to pull an existing customers car out but they had 4 empty stalls at the time... ridiculously poor customer service. Not to mention on 2 other occasions the tire pressure was set wrong on my work vehicle which led to TPS light coming on. And I had to reset proper tire pressure at home. I've never had an issue at Humble or the I-10 Channelview Discount tire. First time bringing my truck here. Had a tire that wouldn't keep air but I couldn't locate the source of the tire deflating. The staff here was very friendly and prompt with addressing my issue. They located and resolved the issue with my tire(nail) and got me on my way. No trying to sale me new tires or anything. Will be back because of the professionalism displayed by this team. read more

The folks here try real hard, but the average wait time is 2 hours for even the simplest work. Between people quitting and a small inventory of tires, I recommend going next door to Pep Boys. They're quick, helpful, and cheap. I was quoted over $1000 for tires at Discount, but Pep Boys countered at under $800. Pep Boys also found a sliver of a nail that Discount tire failed to notice. read more

Discount Tire damaged a lug on my vehicle, told me, and offered to pay for the repair - Great! When I took the vehicle to the shop and the shop called to coordinate with Discount Tire, they would not authorize the work. I was pushed to an adjuster who required photos with the estimate. Scheduled another vacation day, call the shop to coordinate but the shop stopped doing business with Discount Tire as they have not paid on multiple invoices. Talking with the Discount Tire person who is desperately making this difficult for me, said to take it to the shop, send photos and cost and wait to see if they will pay for the damage. End result: Four (4) vacation days have to be taken, not sure if Discount Tire will pay for THEIR damage or not, and treated like scum. As a 30 year customer of Discount Tire, I will never do business with them again. THIER WORDS ARE NICE TILL THEY HAVE TO STAND BEHIND THEM. It is sad to see them grub money from long-term customers. Make my appointments online and I have yet to have any horrible waiting issues. Today my appointment was at 1015, I arrived at 1010, waited in line for 15 min, and at 1050 I was headed home. Im hapoy with that wait time! Typically everyone is very prompt and courteous from all the staff. I have been to this location 4x and will keep coming back. They don't treat me, as a woman, like I don't have a brain in my head like other places I've been. As long as I have tire troubles living in Houston, I'll keep coming back. read more

Year to year Discount Tire has been the tightest, fastest tire shop for me. If Costco has a better price on specific tire I go there. Both companies seem very competent, trustworthy. I am at the Atascosita store and they're as efficient as the shop in Shenandoah on I-45 and the one in Dearborn or Auburn Hills. read more

I have been coming to Discount Tire since I was 16 years old. My Dad referred them to me, because he has been using them his whole life! They have always had superior customer service and I would never take my car anywhere else! NEVER! However, times have now changed. I WOULD DEFINITELY AVOID THIS LOCATION! I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service that I received today. In the beginning of the year, I brought my car to this location with the complaint that one of my tires was constantly losing air. I dropped off my car with them and it was there ALL day. LITERALLY ALL DAY! I was called at the end of the day that my car was now ready for pick up and they were unable to find anything wrong with my tire. They told me that they thoroughly checked my tire. I was very skeptical, but I went on my way. Well, they were wrong. Completely wrong! I was driving on the highway with my son, and I had a mini blowout. It was an extremely scary event!!! After bringing my car back to Discount Tire, they found a nail in my tire. A huge one! They completely missed it! THAT IS SO DANGEROUS! I was extremely upset!!! Both managers got involved and reassured me that they would give me a HUGE discount on my next set of tires. I scheduled an appointment for early this morning to have brand new tires put on my car. I explained to them the situation that happened earlier in the year and that I was supposed to receive a discount. I saved all the information I needed including dates and the managers I spoke to. When I mentioned the discount, their manager Darren, one of the ones I spoke to in the beginning of the year, acted like he was reluctant to give me any discount at all. He was going to call the other manager to speak to him, but he decided not to and just give me a small discount instead. He said he could give me a 10% discount, which is only $36 off a brand new set of tires for my car. Are you kidding me? The young man Javier who was helping me did an excellent job! Nothing against him! Discount Tire has always had superior customer service, but this location is very different. They have absolutely terrible customer service! PLEASE AVOID THIS LOCATION! I have been a customer for Discount tires for very long time. But let you know that Atascosita location is one of the worst you can see. I too my car for tire change, after return back, my rear lights never turn off at all. I had to disconnect battery to turn off. They Brock my break light. I called them and went their. After 2 FULL HOURS OF WAITING, some guy came and meet me. He told he is the manager and refused to even check what is the problem. I walk away and very rude. I called national help line. The customer service rep told, the guy who met me was even the manager!!!. Yes, the manger sent some guy to met with me???? Why this guy don't want to meet me? The customer service guy told the manager will call me. But never got any call from the manager. Very rude and disrespectful. I don't know discount tire even have any quality control? If it's my employee, I fire that guy on the same day. DO NOT GO TO THAT LOCATION. PERIOD, BLANK. read more

I stopped here to buy one tire for my Van ! I must of hit a screw and it was close to the sidewalk so I get it couldn't be repaired safely! But when I was met by what seemed to be a nice kid ....He just Blatantly refused to sell me one tire . I get they want to sell all 4 but I didn't have 600$ (plus his remark to me was isn't this a company van they just pay for it!! No this is my van I said I have to pay for it!) and the 3 tires that were on it still had at least 15-20k miles left . I had him measure the tread depth because I had warranty that pays for a new tire . Which I was able to get done through another tire shop on Atascocita Rd. So I explain to him I want to buy a new tire as well as use the spare tire because the spare was a brand new exact match tire... I wanted to take the one worn tire that was still perfectly good and put that as the spare . Why waste a perfect tire under the van ! Don't get me wrong I would never not have a spare .. when done I would have 2 new tires and a spare back under my van . I didn't want just one new tire on my van . But this kid was not having it would only sell me 4 new tires ! I will never try another Discount tire shop . Yes one bad apple ruins it . Sorry Discount Tire but I spent my money with someone else! Plus Discount tire you should really rethink the ridiculous fee of 30 bucks per tire for so-called TPMS rebuild when really all your doing is re-syncing them to the car! read more
