He said they closed at 6 and could not help me... so I said if I get there before 6 can you help and he said yes... I got in line for air at 5:59 with one car ahead. So a manger decided to help the nice young man who puts air in your tires. When he saw my flat tire he immediately said there was nothing he could do. So I said can u put air in it and he hesitated cause he acted like he didnt want to! So I insisted! He then said the air is coming out fast... there is noting I can do. I said can you patch it and he said no... I said is there another tire shop in the area and he said i dont know... I was like ok... I cant leave like this can you put another tire on and he said no... so I gabbed my phone to try to find a place near by and he said "I will help you if you buy a 'NEW' tire!" I was like.. wait what! You want me to buy a new tire for over 100 dollars and you will help! Now I have my son in the car... Im a single mom and I dont have that kind of money right now... so I said no... you cant just patch it... he said no and with no conscience he looked at me and watched me drive away! The entire time he was extremely rude and cocky! So I called Laveen Tires and Wheels and Ervin hooked me up with a used tire for 35 dollars! I was in and out in 10 mins! But the trip part about it was when I called Laveen tires and said I just left Discount he said "Oh yeah, they are rude. They were not going to help you unless you buy a new tire!" I asked him how did he know and he said he has had several people tell him how rude the people were over there! Im writing this review in the parking lot of Laveen Tires and Wheels because I am beyond angry... but at the same time I am totally grateful that Ervin provided great customer service and showed concern for me and my son being back on the road safely! The Vice President offered a very "generous gift" and I ended up stopping by the Laveen location right after work. I went to talk to the store manger but he left and I ended up talking to Lupe and I'm glad I did. Although the VP was very kind and asked me to stop by the Laveen location. I was still hesitant, not wanting to relive what happened the day before, so I stopped by to decline the gift. But once I spoke to Lupe and saw how genuine he was I decided to accept the gift and I left very satisfied. And I also received an apology from the gentleman who spoke to me harshly from the beginning. I had a low tire pressure sensor go off and I took my vehicle here and they checked all my tires & found a nail in one & a loose stem in another. I dropped my vehicle off to be repaired and they called me back faster than expected and I was back on the road in no time. As someone who avoids the dreaded work on their car as much as possible, I will say that our experiences at Discount Tire have always been top notch at every location, but this location is the bees knees. My boyfriend and I have NEVER felt upsold, and have only felt the front end guys inform us about choices, and let us make the decisions without feeling pressured. Plus, the guys in the shop do a BANG-UP job, compared to bad experiences we've had in the past with other places (cross threading valve caps, ugh). Juan set this off right. Greeted me as I walked in and polite while measuring my tread depth. I blew a tire and wasn't quite sure if I needed to get all 4 done. Turns out my tread has worn great since I was still at 9/32 very good depth. The tires have thousands of miles on them so I needed to check. He said here we are honest first. That he was. I expected to drop $800 today on rubber, instead $30 for a replacement as I had the certificates. Overall great experience. Been using Discount Tire for 20 yrs. I am new to this location, but it is the best I've seen compared to others. read more

Very disappointing experience today. My tires are 7 weeks old. Tire sensors came on showing all tires low. Decided to check them in case it wasn't just the cold weather causing the issue. I found a nail in a front tire so brought my car in. Picked up my car and noticed the tire sensors were still on. Got home (5 mile trip) and found a screw in the right rear tire. Guess no one checked out all the tires nor whether the tire sensors reset. Am back and waiting again. Hope I didn't make a mistake by buying tires here. Service is usually much better than this. I brought my wife's car here because our tire light indicator was on just thinking we needed air in the tire. I brought the car through the air check lane and with a thorough inspection, they found a screw in one of our tires. I was thinking I was going to be screwed out of more money because a hole has been burning in my wallet lately but it turns out it was free thanks to the tire warranties I had. I usually don't buy warranties but I seem to use the tire warranties pretty frequently and it's been worth it to me since I've gone through a few replacement tires. I ordered two tires for my Chevy Blazer coming in from California and decided to follow up on the order a couple days later. When the team found out the tires were delayed they special ordered some other ones (much more expensive) got them in the next day and charged me the price for the old tires. In addition to that I had only paid about 500 for the tires and still needed to pay the rest upon arrival. They wouldn't accept my money and I ended up paying even less then I would have regardless! Horrible experience, went in to ask questions about wheels and wanted assistance in making a decision on a set. After walking into the location 3 employees standing at computers talking to one customer. I received no greeting for coming in. When i was noticed, person ask. "Did you need something?" Personally i don't think that's a great way to great a customer. Rep proceeded to give strange answers to questions. Like if they charge for installation, i was told, "well I'm not sure what this location does but i don't charge." I asked if i could get a straight answer to the question and he responded saying, " I wouldn't tell you free installation and then charge you. That's not how business is done." Not great service. Then when asking about the wheels the rep spoke above my knowledge level about stock vs JDM but could explain to me what JDM meant. I ended up just feeling stupid that i didn't do enough research to speak to a discount tire rep. Thought the rep would help me understand but he just continued to say contradicting statements. When i told him the set i liked and asked how long to get them in, he began to look it up until a call came in. When the call happened he answered, didn't place them on hold or ask if i minded him taking the call, he just stopped helping me completely and switched to the call. After several minutes of him helping customer on the phone with a appointment i decided to walk out and bring my business elsewhere. I'm sure the manager of this store doesn't care about missing out or a wheel set sale. But i wanted to share my experience as a first time buyer of wheels at this location. Showed up late in the day for a flat fix, I had picked up a screw in my tire. They got me in, fixed the tire, balanced and new valve stem. All for FREE (I did not buy the tires there originally either) they gave me a good price, no pressure quote on some new tires when I get closer to needing them and everyone is always very nice and professional at this shop. I don't usually bother to Yelp experiences but these guys deserve your business as they are really giving their all to provide the best service. This was my first time coming to Discount Tire and man these guys work fast! Wasn't waiting for more than 30 minutes from the moment I got there, felt like I was in and out! The staff was friendly and helpful. I wish the prices were a bit better, but for the fast service and convenience I'm willing to pay a little extra. The shop itself is clean, wide open and has lots of seating (I hate being cramped in with other customers). Hopefully I won't be back here anytime soon but I do recommend this shop. read more

On 5/27/16, I purchased 4 new Pirelli tires from this location. I also purchased 4 new tires for my other car in late 2015, as well. On 11/7/16, I went in for a simple rotation and balance. I had ZERO issues with the tires when I drove to Discount but immediately had issues when I drove away. Every time I let off the accelerator at 50 MPH and up, the tires loudly vibrate which makes a very loud sound like an airplane engine. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. I returned the very next day on 11/8/16, and "Juan" had the guys check and see what was wrong. It turned out whoever balanced my tires used the INCORRECT WHEEL CAP, and made the tires in Juan's words; "COMPLETELY OUT OF WHACK." "Juan" apologized, had them rebalance the tires, and he said the loud vibration would go away within a matter of days. It never went away! I returned on 12/21/16 and explained my situation to "Jovany" and "Jacob." "Jovany" assured me that if they couldn't get rid of the vibration then the tires would be replaced. I also noted that I just had the car inspected at BMW North Scottsdale, and my SA advised me that the tires need to be balanced! They rebalanced the tires AGAIN, and claimed nothing was wrong. "Jovany" didn't keep his word once "Jacob" walked in which was very disappointing. I even went as far as to ask if they would go on a road test with me, in which "Jacob" initially said "yes" but when he returned a minute later he said he couldn't. To top it off, "Jacob" took on the role of a mechanic, and tried boldly implying to me that BMW's have lots of problems and it was probably caused by something else??? 1. Discount Tire is a tire business; not a mechanic shop so I do not need your advice to replace my struts, "Jacob." 2. My tires were perfect before they were INCORRECTLY BALANCED, and were ruined the second I drove away from the parking lot. 3. They are not keeping their promise; "REMEMBER... IF YOU'RE EVER NOT SATISFIED WITH ONE OF OUR TIRES, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING IT BACK." In addition, I waited 45 minutes for the first rotation and balance, 45 minutes for the second balance, and another 45 minutes for the 3rd balance; a total of almost 2 1/2 hours to leave unhappy. The guys at this location discounted my situation and put the blame on me. They should have replaced my tires due to their AMATEUR MISTAKE, period. I am very disappointed, and upset. read more

Im pretty sure this place put a nail in my old tire, which I came to get repaired, to try to force me into buying a new one. I inspected my tire and found a nail in it. It was in the middle of the tire which is easy enough to repair, right. I called them up and was told they repair tires for free. When they took it in to fix it the guy came back out 20 minutes later. He told me it couldnt be repaired due to the nail being located on the shoulder of the tire. Obviously I said its not on the shoulder. Its in the middle. He went back to get the tire and rolled it out for me to see. Sure enough there was a nail in the middle AND on the shoulder. I didnt think anything of it, except how i missed a nail on the shoulder during my thorough inspection. I did know I went in to get a "free" tire repair and i wasnt prepared to buy a set of tires for a corvette which run anywhere from 1100 - 1400 on the cheap end for a decent set. I dont do the replace 1 tire thing anymore. Especially on a corvette. I had only needed to put a miniscule bit of air in the tire once, maybe twice a week anyway, so no big deal. That changed! Now I have to put an exorbitant amount of air in my tire every morning! This is where these slicksters in Phx mess up. If the car is doing something that it wasnt doing before we bring our cars to them then that means they did some shady crap! Im not STUPID! At first I took my car in because of a noise. I got them balance and said everything was ok. The next day the noise got louder and louder so I decide to check it out myself. I notice a big ball growing from the tire! How can they miss something so noticeable? I went back furious to speak with the manager. Staff here is professional, courteous, and just amazing. Started off my day this morning driving to work when I noticed my tire indicator light was on, went out of my car to check and sure enough I see a big fat shiny nail smiling at me and has made a home in my tire; my poor tire was completely flat. After putting some air in it, I initially went to Walmart tire center for some assistance, but was told it would be a 5.5 hour wait because they only had two techs working. The lady at that counter was actually the one who recommended I checked these guys out, so I headed over to Discount Tire and was immediately helped out by one of the guys. I needed to get my tire patched up and they told me it would be a 30 minute wait or less and it did end up being about half hour. After they finished, one of the guys drove my car to the front and told me it was all fixed. It was then I told him I hadn't paid for it yet and he said it was free. What the what. I'm probably the only person on earth who didn't know this, so I was pleasantly surprised. At Walmart they were charging $10 and a 5.5 hour wait so for this to be free AND only took 30 minutes really made me happy. Shopped for tires online and gave Discount Tire a call to see if they had the ones I was interested in stock. Spoke to Nick who checked inventory, they had two but able to get the other two tomorrow. True to his word Nick gave me a call the next day stating he had all four tires for me. When I arrived for my appointment the shop was busy but moving.
