Had something hit the under of my vehicle while driving yesterday. The car started making a weird noise. Had my wife call Firestone. The gentlemen that answered was super nice and friendly. We were able to get scheduled for their next available time for a diagnostics check for the car. They even checked the alignment for free. It is 9.99 for a diagnostic check. After all said and done. The gentleman upfront let me know that the noise that my vehicle was making was from the heat shield getting loosened. They were able to fix it for me at no charge since it was an easy fix for them. Not only was the gentleman up front was super helpful, friendly, respectful, patient and funny. But the team also did a great job and were very welcoming as well. I would recommend this place. DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION - REFUSED WARRANTY & PUT MY CHILDREN AT RISK!!! I went to Firestone Complete Auto Care - 51st Ave & Baseline for a tire issue that was clearly covered under my Firestone tire warranty. One of my front tires had exposed wires, and the other front tire was beginning to show wire as well. I was within the warranty timeframe, and I also had a nail in one of the tires. Despite all of this, they refused to replace the tire. I explained to them that I have children who I transport to school in this vehicle, and that driving on tires with exposed steel wire is dangerous and unsafe. They did nothing to help. Instead, they performed an inspection and tried to scare me into paying for unrelated services, making recommendations for other work on my vehicle which is already in good condition while completely ignoring the actual safety hazard right in front of them. Let me be clear: * Exposed tire wire is a serious safety issue * Firestone advertises tire warranties for situations exactly like this * Refusing to honor that warranty while allowing a customer to leave on unsafe front tires is irresponsible and dangerous I left feeling dismissed, unsafe, and shocked that a company would jeopardize the safety of a parent and children while still trying to upsell other services. This location failed to honor their own warranty, failed to prioritize safety, and failed as professionals. I had my truck towed to this Firestone because the tire had gone completely flat and it has big tires. It appeared they could not find the locking lug to the tire so they had to break it off which was OK with me. It was finally ready at 5:00 p.m. I went in to take care of the repair and when I saw the bill I was absolutely floored. It was for over $300. and that was after the girl had knocked 10% off. The manager was already gone for the day. He communicated with me regarding the misplaced lug but never relayed or communicated anything about the bill. I thought they had installed a new tire or something!! I will nevercime back here again. That's obsurd for patching a tire and even the lug break. read more

The lack of customer service is unbelievable -- staff are unfriendly and act like they don't want your business. I've given them multiple chances over the years, hoping things would improve, but it's only gotten worse. It's honestly incredible they're still in business. I took in my 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT on 7/6/23 to the Firestone on Baseline in Laveen to get my AC recharged after it started running hot after being used really heavily during the summer months. firestone had my car for about 24 hours. I picked it up on 7/7. When the car was returned to me the AC appeared to be running fine. - (Please note, that as I breakdown my experience that I have had 0 other issues with my car outside of my AC prior to Firestone started working on my car) - (I have also worked with your staff members named: George, Sebastian, and Ariane) On 9/9 I had to take my car back in because my AC stopped working AGAIN. They told me they didn't see any visible issues after running diagnostics, and just recharged my AC and sent me on my way. I got to pick up my car same day (9/9). On 9/14 my AC stopped working for the 3rd time. I took it in and I was told the issue was the air condenser hose & the piece had to be purchased from the dealership. They had my car until 9/20. On 10/7 my AC stopped working for the 4TH time. this time I was told that I needed my condenser replaced AND a new evaporator core. They had my car fixed on 10/14, but I could not pick up the car until 10/15. I was told they had to take apart my engine to get to the condenser, which is what caused this job to take so "long". I was called on 10/14 by Ariane and asked to pay over the phone, so the mechanic who worked on my car could get paid for the job in this pay period. I did not have my wallet on me so I did not pay over the phone, and told them I would pay in person the following day. When I picked up the car on 10/15, I didn't have the opportunity to drive it around a lot. I begin driving my car on 10/16, and noticed there were some pieces in my dash that were not put together correctly & there were parts that were cracked. When I tried to turn off my car to investigate what else could be wrong with my car, I turned off my car and removed my keys from the ignition and the engine remained on. My AC began to stop working intermittently and would stop blowing cold air every 2-3 minutes, and would push out hot air during those moments. I also noticed my car began to overheat. I popped open the hood and started seeing different parts in my engine were not screwed in correctly. I drop my car off on 10/16 after my car cools down after overheating, and spoke with Sebastian. I express all the issues I am running into. He explained that the technician working on my car was moving locations. As I am writing this, it is 10/19 and Firestone still has my car. In my opinion it appears the technician rushed the job on my car, so he could get paid. To say this experience has been frustrating is an understatement. My safety was put at risk due to the car not being put together correctly. My time has been deemed unimportant since my car has been with Firestone for 13 days over the course of the last month & no one from Firestone is communicating when to expect my car to be fixed. Every single time I get an update about my car, it's because I call them myself. They did not and have not contacted me to let me know what is going on as they work on my car. I have spent about 4k to have an issue fixed that continues to not be fixed. If you are having issues outside of an oil change, consider this your warning. This Firestone does a terrible job at embodying its own brand motto (Fixed Right, Priced Right, Right on Time). read more

Took my vehicle in for an alignment, balance, and rotation. They told me both of my rear wheels were manufactured improperly, and it was not possible to balance them out. Also told me they could not get the alignment right because there was more adjustment and needed to get an adjustment kit from the dealer lol. The way they sent me back with us straightening my wheel should be all you need to know. But if that's not enough for you, I also had a 12 o'clock appointment and I called him five minutes before six to ask if my vehicle is done yet, they told me it was done and that I could come pick it up. Nobody called me and it took much longer than expected. This is a 2015 Toyota tundra we're talking about, I bought the tires from a fire stone, and I had it balanced, rotated and aligned before at a different fire stone with a better reputation and never heard of the issues they're bringing up to me now. So after being without my vehicle for over six hours and trips back-and-forth for pick up and drop off, I'll have to do the same thing tomorrow to get the job done correctly from a reputable shop. Went in for a brake inspection. Scheduled an appointment for 11 but when I showed up they said they were very backed up. But they never thought to call beforehand and let me know to show up later. They said to come back at 3 and it would only take 10-15 minutes. 15 minutes later they come back and say they haven't started yet. An hour later they finally finished inspecting the car. The tech sold me on the brake flush and fill because I was at 150k Miles. After I got the flush and fill my brake lights are coming on. We visited this location for an oil and filter change. Our services took about an hour and half and they finished about 30 minutes before they closed. About 25 minutes later, once the car was at home, we noticed that there was a moderately sized puddle of oil underneath the car. Knowing this was abnormal, we took a separate tray to try and measure the amount that was leaking. After a period of time, a new puddle of oil was evident underneath our car. We tried starting up the car and it felt like the engine was struggling. We decided to call a different location (Southern Ave), as the location we received the oil change from had closed. The Southern Ave. location told us to come in immediately. Once the employees had our car, they stated the following: -Oil drain plug was not secured -It didn't look like the old oil was flushed in full as it was extremely muddy when being drained by them -Oil tank looked as if it was only topped off and then also overfilled -Overfill spilled all over the engine -Part of the leaking we were seeing was from the spilled oil dripping beneath the car -Unsure about oil filter being changed Upon preparing to leave the Southern Ave. location, the check engine light had turned on. Due to this, an appointment was made at the Mini Service Department for the following day. They ran diagnostics for the check engine light, redid the entire oil change, and cleaned up the spillage made by the Baseline Rd Firestone location. They told us that the Southern Ave. location's help is the only reason we were able to even make it to the Mini dealership. This was due to them stopping the leak and pointing out the other issues they saw. The Mini Service Department noted that on top of all the other things done by the Firestone Baseline Rd. location, that the oil filter wasn't secured or put in the correct placement either. We went in for a simple oil change and ended up with a lot more money out of pocket and an engine being put at severe risk for irreparable damages. We will be reaching out to customer support/Laveen location for a full refund. read more

It's a sad day, fellow Yelpers. Another business has been bitten by the bad new management bug. I've had an oil change here 9 times, and built a great rapport with the past managers. I went in to schedule an appointment for another oil change and asked to make sure it'd be the same price that it's been the last 9 times and new store manager Chris Farrell said, "No." Oh, well, how much? It was a $5 difference, no biggie, but I asked if they price match and he said sure. So I brought in a coupon for Big O Tires that was $10 cheaper and Chris said, "Oh no, I can't match that." I said, "That's fine, I'm fine with the same price as last time then ($5 difference)." He said he couldn't do that unless he had the actual coupon for that actual price. Here's the deal, I'm a business owner, I know how these things work. A $5 swing won't kill my business, and it's a small price to pay to keep a long-term customer happy or even a brand new customer that could turn into a long-term customer. In my opinion, a no-brainer. Not so for new store manager Chris. I normally just move on quickly from these moments, but bad business practices/horrible customer service is one of those things that just bugs me so much because I understand it from a different perspective. I've had much more work done at the location, but for sure will not be returning for an oil change or any other service thanks to new store manager Chris. Sad day indeed. read more

Good service but having made an appointment and then being told they don't see my appointment for an oil change and I would have to wait until afternoon for them to finish with my car, come on. I agreed and had to call at noon when my car still wasn't done. I notified them that I needed fluids topped off because my washer fluid was low; and sure enough it wasn't done. I went back the next day to have them fill my washer fluid since that's what I paid for. Shame shame shame on the service. I had chosen a few coupons on my Firestone app one being A $10 off synthetic oil change and another for a $25 Gift card from Pennzoil with the oil change. When I drop my car off I wasn't asked or advised about anything on the coupons that I selected and what I would prefer based on price I was just told they would call when my car was ready. When I came back I was told that my oil change was a total of $111.26... I have never in my life thought that there would be a possibility that anybody would charge $100 or more for an oil change. Then he hands me this paper that I have to fill out and send in to Pennzoil to get the $25 gift card. I would've rather have saved the $75 and not had to deal with sending in anything. After I got home I looked up how much the oil itself was it's $35 on the Internet I got charged 84.99 for 5 quarts of oil. AND they didn't even take off the $10 of the other coupon that I had!! I recommend making an appointment and confirm it with the front desk the only thing is that the guy in the front with the glasses was in no mood to talk to me about my car issue . Fletchers dropped our car from the lift. Yes dropped airbags went off, frame was bent. Our car is a total loss thanks to them. The manager did not inform us of anything until we called 3 hrs later and he said to come pick up the car. We got 3500 bucks for a perfectly good car now we have a car payment and higher premiums thanks to Fletchers. Corporate did nothing besides hide behind their insurance company. I was the 3rd person through the door and was advised it would take an hour or so for my alignment. They told me on the phone the day before the same, so I was prepared to wait. 2 and a half hours later, they hadn't begun working on my car and advised it would be *at least* another hour. I asked for my keys and left without the alignment I needed, and I can promise you that I'm never returning to another Fletcher's. This was my first and last experience with this pitiful company.
