I was prompted to write this review by all the negative reviews for the Aurora Village tire center. I have no reason to believe the people writing those reviews did not have the negative experience they describe, but I'd like to offer a different perspective. On Tuesday morning I walked out to the driveway and discovered my car had a flat tire. A nail had pierced one of my tires the night before. I quickly installed the spare and started doing research--mostly trying to decide if I should just buy a used tire for now and replace them all later (they were due for replacement, but I could get by for another few months at least) or just bite the bullet and get a full new set. After comparing prices on the same tire at several locations I decided to buy my tires at Costco. The total price for tires + installation was between $200 and $400 less than anywhere else, not counting the dividend on the purchase or the rewards on the Costco card I used to make the purchase. I ordered the tires on the Costco app Tuesday evening, figuring it would be at least several days before they could be installed. No problem, I had both our daughter's car and my own car with the spare to get around in the meantime. The next morning I called Costco to ask how to schedule the appointment. On the website the earliest it allows you to make an appointment is about 10 days out. Not ideal but not a huge inconvenience either. I made the appointment for a week from that coming Saturday. Then later that same morning, I got a call: Your tires are in and would you like to schedule installation? I already made an appointment online, I said. I was then told that didn't matter, I could bring my car in that same evening and get my tires installed. OK, I said, see you at 7. I got to Costco a little bit early Wednesday evening, dropped off my key fob, and did a little shopping in the warehouse and had something to eat in the food court. Went back to the tire center, it wasn't quite 7 yet, and my car was already being worked on. Car was ready by 7:45, staff was friendly, zero issues or complaints. No one is ever happy to have a large unexpected expense pop up out of nowhere. All told I paid more than $800 for my tires--I did not purchase the cheapest tires I could find and ended up getting the exact same model that came installed from the factory. But in terms of taking care of the problem so I could just get on with my life, the Costco tire center could not have made it easier or more convenient. read more

I recently got a flat tire and was stressed about what to do and how to get it fixed during the busy holiday season. I purchased my tires in 2020 and my warranty was still valid from Costco so I went there to see how they could help. I drove my car to the tire shop (with the spare tire installed; please don't drive with a flat tire) and purchased a new tire with a percentage of the cost covered through the warranty (turned out sidewall damage made the entire tire unfixable). I went in on a Thursday and was told that I'd get a call when it was delivered so I could drop off my car and get it installed. The tire arrived on Friday but I didn't get a call. However, I called on Saturday and was told that I should drop off my car at 8am during walk-ins and it would get installed by the end of the day. That was what I did on Sunday morning and I got a call at around 1pm that my car was ready for pickup. The only thing is I wish they called me when the tire arrived like they said they would, but dropping it off Sunday worked better for my schedule anyway. I went in on Thursday and had my car back to normal by Sunday which was a pretty quick turnaround given an overall stressful situation. They also took the flat tire and put the spare tire back in its place in the trunk so that was much appreciated. One tip: if you don't have an appointment and need service, stand in line (don't just wait in your car) before the tire shop opens because there will be swarms of people coming in at once for a similar reason. read more

Getting a flat is one thing. Getting a flat with an infant is the worst. My tire was slowly leaking so I took my car to Costco. Long story short- it took them over an hour and $12 to tell me they couldn't fix my tire and to take it to a Les Scwab or Tire Discount because they didn't sell my kind of tires and I would need to buy 4 new ones instead of one at those two other locations. Let me repeat, over an hour to tell me they could not fix it! I went to Les Schwab and they FIXED IT, FOR FREE, IN UNDER 30 MINUTES! Don't go here. I'm still upset. Went to the ShorelineCostco Tire Center last week to buy Michelin tires for my wife's car. We'd received a hand-out at the Costco Entrance that had a coupon for $ 150 off on Michelin tires. There was only one man behind the counter when I went into the Tire Store in the Afternoon. He had his mask below his nose! Costco aren't your employees supposed to wear masks over their mouths and noses? I asked about ordering Michelin tires that were advertised online at the "members price", less the $150 off as shown on the coupon. He told me that he would have to special order the tires as they were not in stock. When I tried to order them, he said that I couldn't have $150 off as the sale hadn't started yet. He said that I would have to come back after the sale starts and then order the tire to get the special sale price. Then, I would have to come back after the tires arrived in order to get the tires installed. So, A few days later, I returned on the first day of the sale. FYI! The store opens at 9 AM but the Tire Store opens at 10AM. When I came back at 10 the line was already 4 people in line inside and 4 outside. The elderly lady behind me in line had an appointment to have her tires installed. Wouldn't you think she would have priority? After 15 minutes the line hadn't moved. The people in front said that there was only one man at the desk helping people. So, while in line I called Discount Tires and asked them if they still matched Costco prices. I remember that they had a sign advertising it. Their guy was super helpful, affirmed that they did price match and he quoted an even lower price! So, I went right over to Discount Tire and ordered the tires. They didn't even ask for money up Front! While I was standing in line at Costco, I wondered if I would have to go through the same hassle as the elderly lady in order to get the tires installed. I also wondered what my wife would have to endure if she punctured a tire or had a faulty tire. Sorry, Costco, I really wanted to give you the business. read more

My saga started with the Costco Online Tire center. The tires i wanted were not available at the Redmond location so I placed the order online. Their online system, as I found out later, does not have a tracking system. I placed the order and after a week of waiting, I called to see if the order had been shipped. I was told that they didn't know and they couldn't provide any information. I then decided to call various stores in the area to see if I could find the tires locally. I located a set in Lynnwood and canceled my on line order. I drove to Lynnwood and attempted to schedule an appointment for install. They were scheduling three weeks out, so I took the tires and called various Costco locations to see if there was any chance at having them installed in a timely fashion, (two to three days), no luck. l then called the Kirkland location and scheduled an 8:00am appointment. (three weeks have now passed since I initially ordered the tires. I arrived at 8:00am in 33 degree weather with my tires. The tire store manager was not happy to install the tires because I had bought them from another store. After presenting my membership card they agreed to install them, reluctantly. I was then told to wait outside, in the rain, because the store wasn't open. After 25 minute one of the store personnel felt sorry for me and let me inside the door. It appears to me that Costco has a substantial tire business but lacks the ability to install tire purchases in a timely manner. If I had it to do over, I would have gone to Les Schwab or Discount tire and paid the extra $100 to $200 dollars and avoided the frustration. read more

I love Costco tire center very much they are amazing and I feel young all over when here! Had appointment for 1 flat repair R/R tire and for tire rotations. Broke off a stud and a second stud with lug nut jammed half way but I couldn't blame them because my vehicle had been sitting in storage for 3 years. I should have told them during checking in at counter. I forgot. And I give them the wrong year told them it was 1996 when in fact it is a 2006. They were nice enough to let me drove off to across the street to Bucky's radiator for the stud repair. Even though they repair the wrong tire i had asked for (R/R). The L/R tire they found a nail and repaired it for me! After $195 at Bucky's I returned to have this R/R tire flat repair done ( which is now R/F because i had them tires rotated already. So this now L/F tire with a nail in it can't be repaired because they found a second nail next to it according to the technician. None repairable! They put on a spare and sent me back the next day for purchase of 4 new tires which would be on sale beginning the next day. 2 of my tires still got 60% life but due to storage of 3 years with 5 years total on tire life I probably will not get a pro rated adjustment. Won't hurt to ask? Stay tuned, I may or may not update this review. Reason for storage of 3 years....father-in-Law passed away. I am going to present his Costco account too. waited for 20 minutes and nobody came to the empty front counter. Finally manager named dray came to the counter and was not appologetic at all and left me there for another 10 minutes then told me they didn't carry my tire size and just left after telling me the other stores didn't carry them. Oddly enough i called the lynwood store ten minutes down the road and they had them in stock.Funny the manager Dray said the opposite, just think he was lazy unfortinatly. Do not recommend at all stay away at least till they get a new manager. read more

Poor customer service and wait times are way too long even with an appointment. It's not all the workers fault, they always seem to be so busy and you have to book an appointment very far in advance and don't accept walk-ins unless you drop off car early in the morning. Parking lot by the center is small. I found out they somehow lost my order of tires when I showed up for my appointment (I am not sure they bothered to look for them but they're computer system did not have the tires on record). Got a refund for tires and did not return to shop here and will not moving forward. Cost of tires is on the lower end but the same as other places like Discount Tire Store (excluding the membership cost of course). read more

I recently had a new set of 4 installed and when I called this morning to inquire about a flat tire I got the night before, they were still able to have me come in and get a new one for zero cost (just a small installation fee) despite being fully booked. my car was ready faster than the estimate they gave me and the staff (Lindsey/Lindsay? and I believe Zach) were very kind :) read more

NEVER EVER AGAIN! I bought a set of tires online as a convenience, possibly sacrificing service for price - should have trusted my judgement. Roberto (manager?) provides the type of "customer service" you'd expect from a disgruntled employee that is either overworked, burned out and allowed to act like a complete jerk. Read the other reviews, it seems to be a pattern. As I sit here, not knowing what "you're car will be ready sometime today" means (because that is all he would tell me with a snarky tone), I am tempted to return the tires, go to Les Schwab or Discount Tire. I showed up and the tires I had ordered they told me wouldn't fit, but I knew they would (on Google it even says they do) and they were rude about it. They said they couldn't put them on but I had them look and they magically fit ever after all of the crap they gave me. They told me it'd be an hour and a half but took 2 and a half hours. I walked by the shop many times and saw them putting the tires onto the wheels after half an hour of being there. I don't know what they could've done in that extra two hours but the wait time is ridiculous and I was super late to what I needed to get to. Don't expect the same upbeat or positive attitude you see in most Costco stores, and don't expect the time estimates for tire mounting to be accurate. My tire mount lasted just under 2.5 hours, which is fine when you expect to drop off all day, but not so good when you are told 1.5. But, they probably know what they're doing and my first 5 miles on my tires went fine. read more

I went in a few months ago and had a tire that had nonrepairable sidewall damage. Given the age of the tires I thought I'd end up having to replace all of them because of Subarus AWD requirements. Sure enough I did, but based on a tip I got in there just before opening and they did their best to get me going without an appointment. After I pushed a bit I got some money knocked off because of warranty on having purchased the previous set at Costco. As I remember it was a gray area, but they took care of it anyway. THEN, it turns out my wheel bearing was also messed up so I had to have the car towed to Carter down the street. As frustrating as that day was the guys did their best to at least keep me in the loop on what was going on with the tow truck, my options for where to go, etc. The names of the crew I remember being helpful that day were Nate and Dre. Also, there was a manager (white shirt, Hispanic) that felt bad about not being able to let me drive with a bad bearing to get down the street, he arranged and covered the cost of the tow. Anyway, it was a frustrating day, but at least I know they were looking out and did what they could given the frustrating situation. read more
