This location used to be my go to store. I drove past another Discount Tire to have proper service done. Yesterday they caused a nightmare I am still dealing with today. I brought my truck in for a tire rotation and balance. I reminded them the air pressure needed to be reset. After waiting a bit I was ushered into the work area. The person working on my truck cross threaded one of the lugs. The lug nuts are not old as they were purchased from Discount Tire per their recommendation. They claimed the installer screwed it on by hand three turns instead of their company policy of five. A pain yes but it happened. They told me they would repair. My truck is going in the shop for other maintenance the next day and that can be taken care of. I get my truck back and the air pressure is 25 lbs low in the rear and 15 in the front. I had to have that corrected. I am also missing a center cap from my truck. The shop claimed it was missing when I arrived. They said they can order a new one. This is a comedy of errors and I'm paying the price. I would avoid this location. As a company I have bought tires for decades. This location is not up to par. read more

I dislike greatly any attempt to sell me or assume I don't know things about cars due to being female. I know how to penny test, measure, follow owners manual, talk to male friends, and ask my brother who is in the automotive field. Men in "male oriented" businesses would be wise not to mansplain over women. End of PSA. I for the first time ever in life needed tires for a vehicle this time last year. I shopped around including more than one Discount Tire location. I experienced places where I did not feel secure that people working there were educated in the product they sell and of course encountered mansplaining. The experience at Discount Tire of Verona Road was only positive. I had my recommendations on tires for the vehicle and the associate Brian had some as well. Whereas another DT location could not meet my request to schedule 30 days out, Brian was amenable to tell me when exactly to follow up to get the new tires appointment scheduled in the way that would fit my needs. All in all, a great experience for one of those things (like the dentist) that we have to do but don't really want to do. Unbelievably, after getting new tires in December 2023, in January 2024 a tire experienced a flat during what was supposed to be a quick mid day run to pick up lunch and return to work. I drove the vehicle straight to Discount Tire. Called a friend to pick me up, and back to work I went. By the end of my work day a few hours later Discount Tire had repaired the flat at no charge. I was irritated and concerned that brand new multi year tires were now imperfect but given that its ten months later and no issues I am going to say the sealing Discount Tire did that day was up to par. Most recently, on November 8, I took the vehicle in for a tire rotation. After I got the vehicle home and went through the in dash menu I noticed the pressures were not appearing in the tire monitor system in the control panel. I called Discount Tire about 5:45. The offer was made me for me to bring the vehicle back, but knowing the location closes at 6:00 I opted for the next day. Felix, the assistant manager, who had taken my call on Friday night, helped me that Saturday morning. He was super professional, apologetic, and offered a remedy that certainly will make up for the extra time and stress of going without tire pressure monitors for that time. All in all, bring your vehicle here for tires no matter where you are in this REGION. I support individual sole proprietorships over chains in all instances BUT THIS ONE. I dropped the car off and spoke with Jake, planning to pick it up the next day. I had a text around 7:30pm saying tire was fixed and they would be there for another hour or so. Even when I was wrong and not understanding the cost, he made me feel like a valued customer and patiently explained their warranty and benefits. I've been a customer of the Junction Road Discount Tire for quite some time. They're very popular, and always busy (for good reason). I tell everyone I know to go there. That being said, I was over on Verona Road doing some other errands and saw the new Discount Tire. I stopped in because I wanted a copy of my last bill (lost it) for my records and they happily printed that out for me. I asked a few questions about some tires I'll be getting and was on my way. In the meantime, I develop a slow leak in a car tire. I booked an appointment online and headed in first thing that morning with the bad wheel - I took it off to bring in, figuring I'd drop it off and pick it up. They encouraged me to have a coffee as it would only be a few minutes, so I waited. 20 minutes later, I got my tire back all patched (and cleaned, rim buffed out, etc.). MINUS ONE RATING. BEWARE! The most terrible experience. We purchased 4 brand new tires with a lifetime warranty for 60,000 miles. The employee at the shop did not know how to put the spare in my LEXUS SUV, he had to have other employees help insert the spare as my husband watched. We left the store awhile later after the tires were mounted. Approximately, 30 minutes later we heard a loud noise. The car began to swerve and become uncontrollable as we flipped over on the highway across the lanes landing in a ditch on the other side. My husband, daughter and myself found ourselves hanging upside down by our seat belts. The tow truck driver and officer looked at my vehicle pointing to the tire, and told my husband that is what caused us to crash, that the tire had blown off the wheel with dirt and grass inside of the tire. Jim Brandt handled the claim for DISCOUNT TIRES and said that there was no nail, or cut on the tire so it was not their fault. The tire BLEW off the wheel!!! The tow company said I guess DISCOUNT TIRES warranty doesn't mean anything. Whomever appraised the vehicle apparently did not view the tire and report the actual findings. The vehicle was sitting upright in the tow yard by now, and the appraiser did not talk to anyone at the tow yard so an incomplete assessment was done, unless he purposely ignored the condition of the tire and wheel. DISCOUNT TIRES does not accept any responsibility for their product, the substandard or faulty employee service. Was an inexperience, incorrect job done in putting on in the brand new tires? No culpability for the tire that blew off a wheel right after leaving their shop. My family and dogs could have been killed, and we could have caused injury, or the death of the other drivers. read more

I no longer live anywhere near a Discount Tire location, but this is still my go to tire provider. They have a pretty extensive network and offer free rotations at all of their locations, so I can stop in at any of them while traveling. My tires had gotten pretty low, so I was anticipating getting new ones today. They checked them out before trying to sell me anything and agreed with my assessment. They patiently went over all of the options with me and were very accommodating in trying to get me in today or ordering something quickly if I wanted specific tires. They also went over pricing and rebate information extensively for each option. The best part, they gave me a credit for my old tires not going quite the mileage that they were guaranteed at without me even having to ask for it. I ended up having a set installed today, and the whole process took about 30 minutes. I logged online to fill out the rebates form while still in the shop, and it took only about a minute. Left feeling satisfied with the experience, despite generally hating dealing with anything for my car and feeling distrustful of technicians. They rock. Outstanding price, outstanding service & far better than competitors. 1. The mounted, out-the-door price was $82 less than tirerack, before incentives. 2. Adding rebates, I was able to get $120 back vs tirerack at $70 back. 3. I paid $132 less (tires mounted) than tirerack (tires unmounted). That's amazing. 4. They receive the tires the next day, informed me when they were in and mounted them, promptly and flawlessly, without any wait (wide, performance tires). 5. The sales people were knowledgeable, polite, efficient and professional. They were knowledgeable about performance cars and the tech that installed my tires, also adjusted my truck settings so that it wouldn't stick. He also reset my tire pressures on the dash, after installing the tires (Nicities that also demonstrated that the guy knew my car). 6. The sales guy gave me very good and accurate advice on the purchase. 7. The facilities were new, modern & clean. There were large windows with chairs and a counter where you could wait and view the work as it was being done. 8. The staff was friendly and invited me to look at the tires before they were installed. They asked me about any preferences that I had for how to handle my car and offered to let me drive it into the service bay (its a cammed corvette Z06). After realizing that my service tech was more experienced than me with corvettes, I trusted him drive it into the bay. 9. The discount tire website allowed me to enter two rebates online and provides tracking of the rebate cards. Wow looking at the other reviews I am not alone with my opinion. This place is the best! I've typically found the prices at Costco unbeatable but they take a long time even for the free rotation. I heard that Discount Tire price matches so I gave them a call. Tyler was super straight forward and confirmed they would price match. I loved that I could make an appointment and that they were open on Saturday. When I got there, it was apparent that this is a well run operation. The place was clean, hot coffee, a nice seating area, a clear view to the service area, and an efficient process. We dropped the car off with Chris, they installed the tires in about 30 minutes, and they didn't hesitate to match the Costco price (about $120 less due to a Costco install promotion and manufacturer discount). I even got a $40 rebate for signing up for a new Discount Tire credit card and got 6 months with no interest. I asked Chris what a rotation would cost on another vehicle and they said they are free. I clarified that I didn't buy those tires from them and he still told me to bring it in and he would take care of me. This may be outside policy but combined with the rest of the process they gained a long term and loyal customer. read more
