Went in today to have a tire replaced because when I aired up my tires yesterday I noticed one was low on tread.. l looked up the website of my local Discount Tire store and made an account. I put in my vehicle information and it showed me which tires would fit my vehicle (which was nice because I know nodda about cars). I found a tire I liked that I thought was also a great value and chose it, paid for it and then made an appointment for the next morning to have it changed out all online.. The appointment was for 9:15 and I was out before 9:45 with my new tire installed. Good value. Nice employees. Fast efficient service. In my humble opinion you can't beat that.. Great tires and the people working there try their best, and they seem to know what they are doing. But the appointment system is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER!!! Had a 9:45 appt, got there at 9:25. Told me the car would be ready with new tires in less than an hour. SO WE DECIDED TO WAIT. BIG MISTAKE. After a few minutes, just before 10am, I see on my text that it says my arrival window was 10:31 am!!!! What a bunch of crap!! And it says car will be done at 11:26 am!! I go up and ask and guy says they are very busy. I ask him what about my 9:45 appointment? He says they have multiple 9:45 appointments but car should be ready before 11am. TALK ABOUT OVER PROMISING AND UNDER DELIVERING!!!! I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK AT THIS POINT BUT WENT HOME. GET A TEXT AT 11:26 THAT CAR IS READY!!! Website says with an appointment it is 30% faster than with no appointment. So you need to wait 2 hours with an appointment vs. 3 hours with no appointment??? This should be take off the website as it implies something good might happen if you make an appointment. The guys in the store should be straight up with customers and tell them it will be hours of waiting. Not within an hour! It isn't the guys in the shop fault, it is the management who gave them such a crappy appointment system to use. Don't overpromise and then under deliver. read more

Its nice to be able to book a service time, they keep to schedule reasonably well. I like that they know my vehicles and purchase history. Free flat repair and rotate/balance also keeps me coming back. Just watch out for the upsell, they push that a little bit too hard for my taste. $50 for new wheel nuts - that you overtorque with your hammer wrench! read more

Life can surely throw curve balls at you !!! Mrs. Texas and I have been on the road for one hour on our trip to California when we got a low tire pressure alarm. Thankfully we made it to Marble Falls without issue. We found out that we got a nail in the sidewall so it can't be fixed. Discount Tire can't get to it until 2:30 PM. The replacement tire was FREE, but the second tire was $388 bucks. I didn't want just one new tire on the back, so I opted for two. We will get to El Paso at 10:30 PM tonight, but I'm counting my blessings for being close to a Discount Tire and not in the middle of No Where, U.S.A. !!! I'm also counting my blessings for the road hazard warranty that we bought when I bought Mrs. Texas' vehicle. All in all, it could be worse !!! read more

I came in to have my back driver side tire checked because it kept losing air. The guy looked at it and checked ALL 4 TIRES even though I only asked them to look at that one tire. He proceeded to tell me that I should look into getting new tires because they were wearing low, to which I said "I know I'll get some soon." He said we are pretty packed today would you like to make an appointment tomorrow? I said yes that will work. I came in the next day at 11:15 and another guy came out and looked at the Tires AGAIN!! And said we can't service the tire because they are below the 2/32 tread marks. You're joking right!?? Why didn't they tell me that initially upon looking at the tires?? I wouldn't have driven 20 minutes out of my way just to get turned down. My point of this review is discount tire will try and pressure you into buying tires and will wait till they have all your tires off your vehicle before they come back and say they can't put them back on due to liability reasons. I know this because it happened to me about a year ago at this same store. I ended up spending $2100 on new tires that I was forced to buy because they refused to put my tires back on. Good luck guys and make sure you ask lots of questions before handing your keys over to these guys. read more

This place is ridiculously slow. I've been here for an hour and a half while I've watched them skip me several time to bring in other customers first. They are also so dumb here, they cannot operate without a scanner and a computer. They don't use their own brains, and they constantly try to rip you off. Do not go here. I bought a set of BFG All Terrains for my F150 from Discount Tire in Marble Falls. I had them for a couple months and got a flat from a screw I picked up somewhere. Went in for a free flat repair and mentioned that I was unhappy with the lack off wet/dry on road traction from the BFG's. The salesman offered to contact the manufacturer for possible exchange. He called me back the next week and swapped me out for a set of Nitto Dura Grapplers which I am very pleased with. The service was over the top though, the fact that he picked up on my comment, ( I wasn't trying to make a formal complaint, I thought I was stuck with the BFG's ) and then followed up with the manufacturer and got me fixed up. My favorite thing about this place is how fast they are. The prices are competitive with anywhere else in town, but they work very very quickly and efficiently. They did try to upsell me a little bit on extended warranty for my tires, but when I said no they didn't push the issue so I appreciated that they weren't pushy in the sales area. I now go here for all of my tire needs just because of their speed and ability to understand that when the customer says they don't want anything extra that the customer means it. read more

They are quick and good about what they do but constantly try to sell you new tires when you don't need them. They also try to tell you bogus things like we can't fix this flat tire the hole is 3 inches from the sidewall. Well guess what I plugged it myself and drove on that tire for a year before wearing it out and re-placing it. I have done that multiple times over the years. So you can deal with wall mart people, deal with the tire shop on the side of the road or be nickel and dimmed to death here. You choose your own poison. They have lots of tires and they have them in stock. They offer services so you don't have to rotate yourself. They fix your flat, maybe. They are making a Service out of something everyone should know, but sadly don't. Therefore they can take advantage of you. Of course the people that work there don't think so. They have drunk the Kool-Aid filled company propaganda. Doing things for yourself and life experience has taught me to refuse the Kool-Aid. But I will use them or Walmart or the roadside tire stand depending on my needs, what time of the day or weekend it is and whether or not I just need to get this fixed. Prices a little on the high side, and charges and fees for EVERY little thing on top of the thire cost. We keep the old tires for various projects. And they were told to put them in back of our truck. They disappeared. We had to have the supervisor, Mgr, whatever the clip board guy is, take the huys and track them down. The good, we were early for our appointment because of a flat (with fixaflat). They got us out in under an hour and a half. read more

I'm really disappointed with this Discount Tires. After receiving excellent service before, they failed to take reasonable care with my alloy wheel. I bought in a flat tire. What I got back was a scratched wheel. At $300 - $400 a wheel, I can't recommend anybody bring in a vehicle that doesn't have full hubcaps. read more

First bad review. Been customers since they opened. Until today this store has provided great service. Made an appointment for tire rotation and inspection for 12:30. Daughter takes the car for the appointment. Texts us with the inspection results at 12:35. Finally, they had the car completed at 2:40 just to rotate tires. Over 2 hours for an appointment. I had not wanted to come back to a discount tire since the fiasco I went through in seattle. The team there put my entire tire on someone else's car. So they ordered me a new one with a wheel. The Toyota logo was (center cap) and was missing. They said they would order me a new one, I was moving. So they had it mailed to a store in Florida. The store never got anything. I took my truck in on 7/28/23 for a leaking back right tire. I asked them to fix the leak and rotate the tires. 3+ hours later I got my truck back. None of the tires had the same pressure in them, but they were all within safe driving limits, so I went home. The following morning the back right tire had lost 30 pounds of pressure, so not only did they not fix the leak, they obviously did not rotate the tires. read more

I had a very flat tire and my locking lug nut key had not been given back to me last visit to Discount Tire. I didn't realize it until I needed it. I could not get AAA to come out and change my tire, because they would have to tear up my wheel in order to get the Lug nuts off. Shawn, at Discount Tire, was wonderful. He arranged for my car to be towed to Discount Tire, and my spare put on my car. He ordered me another tire, and said he thought it would be in Saturday, or possibly Monday. At 4:00 PM he called me and said my tire was there. I was thrilled to have my car back to normal all in the same day. What started out as a horrible experience, was made better by Shawn. BLAH! In town to visit my mom for a few days from El Paso, just wanted my back tires moved to the front and front to the backs. "Red shirt" totally ignored what I was saying (all I wanted was a tire rotation) went straight to getting my tire size and started measuring tread....disregarding everything I was explaining to him. I even went and told him again...."I'm not from here I'm stationed in El Paso, just need the backs to the fronts. "Red Shirt" just says can't help ya, you need new tires though. So I said nevermind...sorry for wasting time and went across the street to Quick Lube, less than 5 min I was in and out! Happy with the customer service I received today. I was pulling a trailer for the Boy Scouts. We were staying at Inks Lake State Park. Had a blowout on our scout trailer on the way to the park. I called them Saturday morning, they had the tire in stock, and I was able to get back to the park before noon. We had the warranty certificate on our trailer tires. I have been a loyal Discount Tire customer since 1999, but this was my first experience with Discount Tire in Marble Falls. On a Tuesday morning we came in to get two new tires for our 2017 Nissan Altima. Colby was our service advisor. Colby asked questions about our driving history and let us view the in store app on his terminal that recommends a tire based on the answers to his questions. The recommended tire brand cost more than we budgeted, so Colby discounted the tires to help us out. We were then only $2 over budget. Close enough. Once we paid and handed over the keys, Colby estimated that it would be about 45 minutes before our car got in the bay. Our receipt says we paid at 10:56 am. At around noon, a different person told us that they were done with one tire and it would take about 15 more minutes to complete the other tire. According to Life360, we left at 12:16 pm so it took an hour and 20 minutes total. Not too shabby! I feel we got a good value for the money and that the wait time was acceptable for a week day just before lunch. I will definitely consider this DT again! read more

Asked discount to match an online quote for some mud terrain tires that were around $200 less for 4. They said they would match the price but would need to call manufacturer bc they were out of stock. They came back and said they wouldn't b able to get the tires until October bc of a serious backorder. I then called the online company. They also said they were out of stock and had to call. They put me on hold for 5 mins and let me know i could have the tires delivered in 3 days or less free shipping. Hmmmmm i just wonder if discount didnt want to sell their tires that low. Bought 4 tires For 3 years we pulled our 5th wheel all over the country never staying in one place for more than 2 weeks. And every Discount tire treated us like VIP's. Great company. After all those miles while back home here in MF. I hit a hole and ruined a tire (Michelin LTX A/T 275-65R20) OUCH! They gave me a new one and replaced a second one because of a nail. 2 new expensive tires. They didn't even tell me about the second tire. What a great surprise.
