I have been a customer for more than 30 years. I brought my vehicle in because I had a nail in the center of the tread. I had told my spouse that they would come up with some excuse why they could not repair the tire. Discount Tire did not let me down. They said they couldn't repair it because the tread was separating. Keep in mind that I've brought in more than a dozen tires to be repaired over my 30 years - they repaired 2. As I joke " they will repair any tire as long as it wasn't manufactured on a day ending in a Y". I'm done. I took my tire elsewhere and they repaired the tire and laughed at what Discount Tire said to me. My Belle Tire card will arrive soon. read more

I came here to put new tires on. They got me checked in right away with my appointment. I recommend making an appointment on their site instead of just showing up randomly. It'll save you the trouble of them telling you you'll have to come back later. There were 3 other cars in the bay so there was a small delay which is fine. They still got my tires finished in a short amount of time. Only reason why I had to stay longer was because I wanted to get a wheel alignment check. Just a FYI, this is the only location in Illinois that does wheel alignment. They do offer free wheel alignment inspection and the actual wheel alignment is about $90 without taxes. Service requested - tire replacement for winter. Quality - terrible! They had 3 business days to get 4 tires. They got 2, never called to inform me of only 2 arriving. Came in for the apt. No update on missing tires. Took my car in and removed all the rims and tires. Finally got an update that they only had 2. They couldn't get me the other 2 or schedule me an apt at the one place that had them... customer service is complete trash at this location. Had to reschedule to get the other 2 put on. Will NEVER come back. Value - no comment as it's for a fleet (work) vehicle. FOLLOW UP: got the second set of 2 tires replaced. I use to love Discount Tire and I've bought all my tires with this franchise but this location is the worst. If you don't know much about cars or tires avoid this place. They say they patch/repair tires free of charge but they have yet to repair one of my tires. On three occasions they tired to sell me new tires. I took them up on the sale once. I had the warranty after the first nail in my tire but miraculously they didn't have the receipt in the system. I had to drive home the retrieve my receipt. Somehow they only had the receipt for the two front tires but the one (rear) tire I needed replacing, they didn't have. Imagine that. Another time, my wife had a screw in her tire. I called to ask if they do repairs and how much they charged, again they said they patch tires free of charge. And again they refused to repair my wife's tire but this time the tires were less than two years old. The guy looks me in the face and says they're bald they weren't, the tread was fine, barely any wear at all. The guy says they don't have them in stock but he can order them, but they won't repair the tire because it's bald (which it wasn't). One day after getting out of the gym I noticed my tire light come on so I drive straight to this location because it's the closest location to me & they won't patch it or put air in it, understandably, due to liability issues. It's the middle of winter so I have to drive my flat to a gas station to put air in it and I patched it myself at home. If you go here needing a rescue, you'll be SOL. I'd avoid this place at all costs. False advertising and predatory sales tactics. Zero stars. read more

I found a nail in my tire while loading my groceries at Costco, so I went to Costco's tire center only to be told they could not repair the tire and didn't carry my tires, so the best they could do was replace all 4. I was shocked. My tires still had a lot of life left on them, and no way I wanted to replace all four. I went online and made an appointment with Discount Tire for the next morning. I was greeted promptly prior to my appointment time. Tim and the crew were able to fix my tire puncture. I was beyond grateful that they tried to fix it before jumping to the conclusion that I needed new tires. They knew I was willing to purchase 2 new tires if needed, but they were honest with what could be done. I left Discount Tire owing nothing and now have a new place to go to for any future tire needs. Thank you for being professional and honest. I'll explain more below, Discount tire was cheaper overall in comparison with other nearby tire shops for the same tires including the above fees, Discount tire was cheaper then Pepboys, Walmart. It was not however cheaper than Sears (due to a $30 higher rebate offer at the time of my purchase) or Costco.... I provided Craig, one of the workers here with the Sears quote and he was able to match that offer. Keep in mind they will need proof of a quote to match it. However, compared to Costco... if you wish to purchase the certificate (warranty of tires up-to thread life which includes replacement or refund of tire if it's unfixable), they are not able to match this. But costco only covers up to 2 years while Discount will offer 3 years. Also, costco does not cover tire damage from potholes, construction etc while discount tire does. One other bonus is that the wait time is usually less compared to Costco for air, rotation, balance. Overall, they are able to match all nearby tire shops in prices including installation. In comparison to costco, there is a discrepancy in price and I would say I paid $20-$25 more at discount tire but got the added benefit of one more year of "warranty" which includes damage due to road hazards. I came here to fix my mom's flat tire due to a nail. This time Jesus helped me out and he was very kind and helpful. Arrived at discount tire for service today only to met with a huge 18 wheeler blocking the entrance to the store. The truck was unloading tires. Totally understandable but why is the truck blocking the only entrance in and out of the parking lot. I called to inquire about getting into the store and was told oh we have to unload the tires we should be done shortly. UNACCEPTABLE. Either ask them to move the truck or move the cars in front of it so that customers are able to go around the truck and enter the parking lot. I left ran another errand and came back 15 minutes later to the same truck in the same spot. So much for being done shortly. I requested a tire check and possibly a rotation if needed. The employees at the front were very receptive. However I told them that my tire felt like it was loose or wobbly so they rotated my tires. On my way home I felt no change in my tires it was still wobbly. I took it back about a week later to get it rechecked and they did a tire balancing and another tire rotation. After they assessed the situation and my car was never fixed properly I decided to go to Firestone and I honestly was so surprised at the diagnosis! My tire was LITERALLY about to fall off at any moment! And they showed me in person! It was so dangerous! The fact that the employees at discount tires just handed me my car keys back and charged me for unnecessary services with my tire in that condition is inhumane! I like the service at just about every Discount Tire I've visited. This used to be my go-to spot but the other location in Naperville on Ogden gets my service now. Since I was out and about and had a visit at Menard's, I thought it was time for some winter air. Yes you should really rotate the air in your tires. They came right out for the free inspection and they promptly filled the tires to the correct pressure. It's not unusual for the pressure to drop 4 lbs. when the cold air sets in. They'll generally fix a flat free of charge and are always helpful to make sure you get the best bang for your buck. They stand behind their advise and have never been disappointed with the road hazard warranty. On one occasion, years ago, they had sold the wrong size wheels and tire combination. It was months later that I started using the van to tow and was having issues with the tires exploding. They promptly ordered the proper size wheels and tires and replaced it all free of charge. They focus on one thing and do it very well. When it's time for new tires give them a try, you too will be satisfied. read more

I was shown several different tires and prices. Never did I feel like he was trying to over sell me a set of tires. He even tried his best to match a price that I was quoted somewhere else earlier that day. We agreed to a price that was best for me in these recessional times that we are in. I have used this Discount Tire location for many of my vehicles over the last 10 years, and they have always done a good job. They are very fast. We dropped the car off at 9AM, and said we didn't need it until later in the day. An hour later they called and said it was done. I couldn't believe how quickly they finished. I had 2 quotes for tires from 2 separate places, both of which were right around $1,000. My entire bill from Discount Tires was about $850 out the door. Took my vehicle here on Thurs 4/25/19 because my tire had completely lost air the previous night. After inspecting the tire they informed me that the tire couldn't be repaired due to the tire currently having 3 punctures adding to the one I had repaired before would make a total of 4 which 3 is the limit that can be repaired. So I have to get a new tire & I'd get a prorated credit because I purchased the tires from Discount tire. Not too happy but it happens, so they proceeed to find the same replacement tire ( 315/35/20 Continental DWS06) which is on a national back order & they can't find it anywhere. Of course I'm frustrated because I want the same tire based on the fact I had just purchased the 2 fronts 2 weeks ago at the Lombard location & the other rear tire was replaced less than a year ago. Long story short I left this shop without a tire because I figure I have to find it on my own probably through another retailer. I get back closer to home and start visiting other stores to see if available & also ended up ar a local tire & repair shop, long story short this company looked at the tire & showed me there would be a total of 3 puntures repaired which is allowed to keep tire in service & NOT 4 because the 4th puncture didn't fully penetrate the tire. They charged me $50 to fix it and sent me on my way! Of course I'm happy with there honesty & service BUT extremely Disappointed & Angry with Discount Tire, they cost me time, frustration, and money because if they would have repaired this tire I wouldn't have had to go through all these extra measures! I went into this store with 15 left until closing time and was just wanting to get some air in a tire and maybe get it plugged. When they looked at the tire the tread was too low to add any air or do a plug. They replaced it right then and there for me even though it was after closing time. I never felt rushed or the employees were trying to push me out or not help because it was close to closing time. The employees all seemed to be on good spirit and enjoyed their job which is very rare these days. The management staff is amazing and always make you feel welcomed and I never feel like I am being taken advantage of or pushed to get something I dont need because I'm a female and have no idea about cars. This place is awesome. My husband and I live in Chicago but came to Naperville for a funeral. On the way back from the funeral our low pressure light came on. We just happened to be driving by this place and stopped in hoping to get our tire checked out. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, but the staff was extremely kind and saw our car right away. They were able to repair and not charge for a brand new tire. Here's the kicker. They didn't even charge for the repair. No upsell, and it was free? Great to be around honest hard workers. After talking to the guy about the tires he suspected that there was only about 300 miles left on them before the big POP was going to happen. If you're just getting your tires checked, they have cones set up, and you just pull into there and wait. I didn't know this so first I went down and asked. And he told me, so I drove into the cones and no one came right away. So I started walking to the garage until someone came up to me. So yeah, you should be able to wait there and they will come to you. He checked all my tires since my tire pressure light was on but they all seemed fine. He said it was probably just the cold air causing the difference in pressure. But he pumped them up and I was on my way. Would have been a lot quicker if I knew what I was doing. read more
