NW Highway store. Have been a customer for many years. They were great for the first several years noticed that over the last year they have let customer service become almost non existent. Went three times last week to get air pressure adjusted. Waited 20 minutes and left without anyone acknowledging my presence. Went back twice more waited 15 minutes each time once again with several workers around they totally ignored me. Very frustrating especially as I was driving on $3600. worth of tires they had sold me. Found another source and will not be bothering them anymore. read more

Went to discount tire to get a tire fixed. I seen the waiting area was full and I had to wait. They gave me a time that my car would be done and it was done before the time was over. I had the worst experience at this location. I showed up at 3:40 to get my front passenger tire plugged. After waiting for around 20 minutes they finally pull my car in and ask if it was my rear tire to which I tell them no and tell them the correct tire. Almost 40 minutes later they come to me and say that my rim has a leak in it and that's why I'm loosing pressure, Well it wasn't even the correct tire. If my rim does have a leak in it, it damn sure didn't before I showed up there. Also while I was waiting, people with the same issue as me showed up and were leaving before me after only waiting 20ish minutes. They also failed to put my tire caps back on so that's nice!! they put 42 psi in my tires when they are supposed to at 35 psi all around. How long do people wait to get their air pressure checked. 20 minutes and still waiting on someone to come check on myself and the guy in front of me. I turned my car off at this point, cause im wasting gas. Can we go out ourselves and check our own air? And oop as im writing this and it became 30 minutes. I cant even leave cause theres someone in front of me and im blocked. Update: around 30+ minutes, im getting my air checked, yay! I do understand when its busy or theres not enough people, they are doing their job and the best they can. Its still insane that it longer than 15 minutes tbh. I should've left, but i was blocked in both ways, and if i go over the curb, that just leads to more problems, and I just dont have the balls for that. While traveling across the Country we reached Oklahoma City where a Semi ended up merging into our lane hitting our side and damaging both Tire and wheel, luckily able to get our donut on we had to find a place that had wheels, we tried a few places that included a salvage yard and rude unhelpful people so we finally went to Discount Tire and they helped us right away, having what we needed and got the new wheel and tire on, in a timely manner, filled all the air in our tires and even in our spare. You might say they were just doing their job but just them being kind, helpful, friendly and able to help us so fast was so much appreciated in such a stressful time so far from home. I've been getting my tires from discount tire for several years, and have been happy with the service. But most recently an employee at this location told me that I needed to replace all 4 tires that I didn't actually need. I had taken the vehicle in to get a flat fixed, which they do for free there. While checking out the car, they also checked the tread depth with their little gauge. Dude came back and said that all four tires were at 3/32. I thought that was a little bit strange, because one of them was less than a year old. It had been damaged, and we got it replaced with a cheap one that had the same tread life as what was remaining on the other three tires. So the only tires they had in stock that were my size were around $160-$170 apiece; I don't remember for sure at this point. Something didn't smell right so I made the call to have them fix the flat only; I would have to come back later for any replacement, as this was all going down before work. At 3/32, the tires were at the very bottom limit of "safe" but they were still safe so they agreed to do the repair. After I left I went ahead and checked another tire place that was nearby, and they had tires that fit and were similarly warranted for around $80 so I'm like heck yeah, that's half-price; let's do THAT. So I pulled in and told the guy what I wanted and went in to wait. Called work to let them know I'd be late. A few minutes later, he came in and said, "are you sure you want four new tires?" I asked him what he meant, and he said that all four tires still had plenty of tread life left on them, being at 5/32. So the employee at Discount Tire, who told me they were at 3/32 when they were actually at 5/32, was either lying or incompetent. Neither of those options are particularly attractive when my money and my safety are at stake. I'm glad I didn't just say "Whatever, do it" and took the vehicle somewhere else nearby because I found they had a fitting tire for cheaper, and THAT place is the one that was honest/competent. THEY had a sale handed to them on a silver platter, but said "You don't actually need any new tires for several months." That place is named WAL-MART. Congratulations Discount Tire; you've lost a years-long customer. read more

Got my tire in within a day which was nice, and the only good thing i have to say, dropped off my car at 10am and tire was supposed to come in around 2-3pm, i got a call around 3:20 that my tire came in and that they were starting the service, i get off of work at 4:30 and my car is still in the parking lot, untouched, then i waited for about another hour before i asked anything, three walk ins had been able to come in with multiple wheels or tires needed to be replaced, had people ask for time estimates and they had an hour or so to have their car back, its been 8hours since i dropped it off and 2hrs 30mins of my car being "in service" come here multiple times before and its been fine but damn this was annoying read more

While shopping for road force balance pricing, I was quoted ~$84 over the phone by the Hibdon Tire Across the way from Discount Tire for a road force tire balance service ...Hibdon quoted me ~$20 cheaper than Discount Tire. So I get to the Hibdon Tire shop and the noninformed manager and front desk girl experience a disconnect. The manager changed the price i was quoted to over $100. Apparently the front desk girl was quoted by another manager when i had called, and now that i am in person the price changed. I told him i felt jerked around, i am here because of the ~$84 price i was quoted for the road force balance service i requested over the phone . Hibdon's Manager shrugged me off. I Told him i dont like their horrific business practices that I will go to discount tire 100feet away. I went to this discount tire during a cross-country road trip where I had trouble with one of the tires on my sprinter RV. I couldn't be more happy with how I was treated by Tevin and his team. They identified my issue was only a valve stem and offered to replace it for free. Even better he noticed all of my valve stems were the wrong type (low pressure) and offered to replace them all for me. They also got it all done within 90 minutes. First and foremost the GM should be proud of this locations sale staff. I topped in on a weekday to discuss changing out our recently bought tires, which we are displeased with that we purchased at our local tire shop. This place is busy, so be patient. As I waited, I noticed the staff was courteous to other customers they were helping. Once my turn, Heath helped me with my concerns and showed me recommendations on a different tire, which I wanted a specific size, an odd size, which makes it hard to find the tires I'm wanting, like HWY/All-Season. Hands down the BEST customer service from any tire company. They made a minor mistake with one of my tires and the manager Health Puckett went above and beyond to make up for it!! Turning lemons into lemonade, that's how you can tell if a company cares about their customers or not. I've dealt with this store several times over the past 6 months and they have been super to work with. After I bought my tires they've fixed flats, balanced and rotated tires on all my cars, not just the one put new rubber on. They sell great tires and cheap tires and their advice is usually correct. They also sell rims but I have no direct experience with that. Here's my advice: do research online! do you want a good tire or a cheap tire? they price match. do you have AWD? Expect to buy 4 tires at the same time. NOTE: they don't do brakes or alignment. read more

Go figure, the day after I review this place, I have to go back. Yesturevening I notice my tire pressure sensor was going off AGAIN, and I rolled my eyes thinking "they must have not added enough pressure to my tires or something, since it's cold and the sensor is tripped." All my tires LOOKED fine after all. I was so upset with the $0.00 bill for patching my tire that I asked for a complimentary tire rotation for my wife, which he promptly reminded me was $0.00 every day. In the end, we were both very pleased with our service. We also noticed the entire staff is very energetic, sprinting from car to car. This has been the worst discount tire I've ever been to in 3 states. Discount tire has always been my go to until I moved to this side of town and the tire techs seem to want to do a little as possible. One kid told me his manager told him they can't check motorcycle tires.. this is the only DT that wouldn't check my bikes tire, I also brought my car to be checked and filled as well and both times, tire techs just stared at me from the garage all standing in a circle doing not much. No help, no recommendations, and at this point I wouldn't trust these kids to change my tire and do an alignment that wouldn't result in my injury. Going to hibdon next door now.
