I try to use this location but it's work quality and scheduling are failed. THey told me they put 35 lbs in my tires but all show 31 or 32 as they did when I brought it in for rotation. I set an appt and even got there early but of course they didn't get to it when promised. They do they business but in future will use another location. read more

Went in to have my tires aired up. Was told my rear tire had a screw in it and that the tire could not be repaired but had to be replaced. Went to Good Year and they repaired my tire. Discount Tire should be ashamed of themselves trying to pull one over on a woman. My dad did tire repairs for over 50 years and would have never tried to get one over on a woman. Was waiting in line for tire pressure check, another cars decides to swoop in and go in front of us. A worker advised another worker that we should have went first, however the second worker decided to allow the other person to get their services ahead of us although we had been patiently waiting. Spoke with the manger and he stated the 1st worker was a nice guy and was probably scared to address the vehicle who cut in front of us. Which was kind of odd however I advised the manger of that being horrible customer service. Manager was pleasant but still did NOT address the situation at hand and did not handle appropriately in my opinion. Picked up the vehicle and the psi was way too high (there was also another customer in the lobby I overheard say her psi was too high in her new tire) and they didn't put the new wiper blades on... had to drive back but she made it right! They could probably use extra staff, busy location! Just check the work before you drive away. read more

Had new tire sensors installed a few weeks ago at Discount Tire NW Expressway, OKC. While airing my tires up--I noticed two of the 4 center cap covers were each missing one of the two screws that secure them to wheel. Went by Discount Tire on my lunch break(02/03/25 aprox. 12:30) to see about picking up a couple--to replace the ones that were either not secured properly or left off all together...The guy @the front desk was very dismissive, told me that I would need to speak to his manager and he wouldn't be back for 40min. Great place to find great deals on a set of tires you'll save money shopping with them. The staff are friendly and the lobby is roomy and sparkling clean if you need to stay and wait. That's all they do there is install tires so if you have any other concerns about your vehicle even if it relates to tires like it's shaking in the front end while on the highway they can check the tire balance and put it on the alignment machine and if that doesn't cure the problem after paying extra to align it. Oh well. They don't troubleshoot it. I've taken my vehicle to them multiple times in the past two months since buying new tires. walk in service the first few visits and scheduled appointment letting them know what is happening while driving on the highway and asking them to set aside time for them to drive it and check it out to find the problem. I don't if it's they cant find it or they just won't bother trying or that's what I thought prior to yesterday. My appointment was at 12:15 they didn't take it into the shop right away yet were done before 1:00. I'm not sure they took it on the road test like I asked them to or not doubtful. They did an alignment check , said it was a little bit off. It had been aligned earlier this week elsewhere and was parked in my driveway until I drove it to them to check tire balance. I'm done with games. Going back and forth it's a waste of time. My time. I don't know what ill do next. I understand the problem isn't their fault they didn't cause it but I need help to figure out what is making it shake so it can get fixed. If I keep driving it as is something bad is going happen either what feels as if it's loose and shaking the steering wheel and seats and cause an accident or it'll just eat up the brand new tires I just bought and that's terrible too. I visited this location last week after my back tire kept going flat & I suspected there was a nail in it. Though they seemed busy, I was promptly helped and serviced. The gentleman who helped me told me my front tires needed to be changed as the tread was worn out and I assumed they'd take care of the back passenger tire I came in for, however less than a week later my tire is flat again as the service I requested was not performed. This place and all the people are amazing! I never receive bad service here and in fact, they always blow me away with over delivery. I had a flat tire issue and needed to get my 85 year old mom to a doctor's appointment. Even though I said I understood if they couldn't get to me quickly, I just asked if they could let me know if they might be able to have me fixed up within 30 minutes, so that if not, I could start rescheduling my mom's appointments. They literally had me in and out in 15 minutes with a new tire. All the people I dealt with were so kind and respectful. On top of that, they have a desk-like working area so I could keep up with my work via laptop during that time. The waiting area is clean, clean, clean, and on that day, they even had snacks available. I don't know if it is due to stellar management at this location, or due to corporate direction, but this location's service level is beyond what can be found anywhere anymore. The guys are top notch and laser-focused on the customer. I am completely satisfied and smiling ear to ear! I had a flat tire that I'd taken to be patched elsewhere and the patch failed. I took the tire to discount tire and they couldn't patch it over the patch (understandable) and said they wouldn't drive on it even if it was patched. I asked for the most reasonable tire they had and I was out of there in less than an hour with a new tire. *** The new tire was flat the next morning so I brought it back and they fixed it in less than 10 min. The valve wasn't in the correct place and it was leaking. Inconvenient, but I was still impressed with the speed and customer service. All smiles and courtesy, one of the guys took care of it and informed me that my front driver's side tire was abnormally low, and that I should keep an eye on it. Is it just me or does every single employee in this particular discount tire look like a 1950's high schooler saving up money for college? Not complaining... they all looked like models. But young and very oddly 1950's for sure. That being said, this was the most helpful and friendly staff I'd ever encountered at a tire shop. Went to get a leaky tire fixed. Asked if I had an appointment, which I did not. Said it would be 1 or 2 hours and I said I would wait. Many cars come and go thru the bays. Maybe 15 to 20. 2 hours later I ask how much longer for my car and was told 30-45 minutes longer. Seemed like they could care less about fixing a leaky tire I had purchased from there a year earlier. I've done business with discount tire for quite some time. It's always affordable and timely service. At this particular location I just saw a lady in the lobby in clear distress about how she was going to pay to replace a tire that was ruined. Just as I was going to offer to pay for her tire, the guy who was working on her tire, Thaddeus, came in and told her he was going to take care of it and get her back on the road. As far as I could tell he didn't charge her for the work or the tire and she was grateful beyond words. Came in on Friday evening and was warned ahead of time that it would take about 2 hours to get to my car. Boyd (the associate who helped me) recommended that I come in early the next morning to get in my tires serviced. I came in the next day around 8ish and was out within 40 mins, probably would have been even less time if I came in about 10 mins earlier but there were a bunch of cars already there. If you stop by Discount Tire, chances are you'll be greeted with a smile and a handshake. I think it's in their training, or maybe Discount is just good at hiring courteous and professional people. Either way, it just seems to be the norm for these guys no matter how busy they are. It's especially refreshing to see because, compared to other shops, they're not constantly trying to nickle and dime you with add-ons, service fees, or other sales-y spiels. My tire sensor went off so they checked my tread, aired up my tires, noticed I had a nail in one of my tires, repaired the flat, and told me how many more miles they recommended I keep my tires for, all without the alarmist and fear mongering tactics you'd expect from any other dealership. And how much did I pay out of pocket for all this service? A big fat nothing. As far as costing for non-complimentary services, their actual tire pricing is pretty competitive with other places (and I think they also price match). I really can't find much to be negative about, which is a nice change of pace when it comes to car maintenance. If you decide to stop by, maybe expect a bit of a wait (I've averaged about an hour) because they're usually pretty busy. read more

This last time I went in, after researching what they had and promotions, to buy 4 tires for my truck. As is usually the case they just dont happen to have the promotion tires and the dude begins the upsell process. 6 months ago I bought a whole set of tires here, the guys were extremely helpful and quick to get them on. After a few months my back tires were worn on the inside so I came back to have them take a look, unfortunately they were not under warranty but Micah went above and beyond to help me get things taken care. He actually noticed something wrong with my car and was quick to inform me that it was possibly the cause of the quick wear on my tires. All that (excluding new wheels/tires) is FREE. "All we ask is that you give us your business when you need new tires or wheels" - some Discount Tires employee Needed tires quite a few months back. Asked my dealership what it would cost to get the exact same tires I already had (but new) put on my car. They came back with a cheap xeroxed sheet of paper with 2 tire options: 1. My current ones for about $175 each ($700 for the set) 2. "Better" ones for something like 200. ($800 for the set) Being broke, I left without tires as I'd have to budget to get them, especially since my wife was also needing new tires. About a block down the road I spot DISCOUNT TIRES and decided to stop in. They were pretty darn busy, but very friendly and greeted me promptly. A gentleman walked out with me to inspect my tires, and verified they were worn down, and immediately checked his computer to see how much it would run to get 4 new ones. It was cheaper (I think it was around $100 a pop) by a sizable chunk, plus they were running a special with a $75 rebate if I bought 4. He then mentioned that my tires were on the rating of "better" (good, better, best), and there were similar tires from a different brand that were the EXACT same price, but would qualify for a $100 rebate because the rebate was $50 for good, $75 for better, $100 for best. (My old tires were continental all season tires, ended up getting Pirelli all season tires). After all was said and done, I ended up paying around $900 and change to get 8 tires (4 on my car, 4 for my wife) after discounts, and greatly enjoyed receiving those rebate cards (who doesn't love getting $200 back?) Since then I've had my tires rotated there (FREE) and inspected (FREE) and pressurized (FREE). Staff has always seemed friendly and knowledgeable. Service has always been prompt (longest I've waited is maybe 45mins when I didn't have an appointment). My car is always returned to me as was, except my tire situation seems to improve. read more

I bought a tire from discount tire for 240 dollars after moving to Edmond a couple months back and after only having it on my car for a couple short weeks it went flat. It was on my Lexus and was a aftermarket wheel so I immediately took the tire off and as soon as I could took it back to discount tire because it was brand new and I paid for the life of the tire warranty. When myself and my wife arrived we laughed and bragged about how the workers were all yelling and working fast in customer cars so we figured our experience would be the same. It was NOT! The moment the young man figured out I was not there to purchase another new tire he began to give me all the excuses of why they could not even look at my tire I bought from them and they put on. He then takes my tire inside to another man and they call another man over, so now there are 3 people standing and looking at my rim and tire, but nobody is touching it and they all walk away and begin to work on other cars. About 15 minutes later the original guy comes back to my car and tells us that he can do what I paid for and fix whatever is wrong with my tire, but I now have to leave it sitting in the corner of the shop and he will have to work on it later and that I should come back at 5 o'clock when they close and pick up my tire. Completely rude and lack of attention to a paying customer and clearly racially profiled for my aftermarket wheel and tire. My entire Saturday is ruined and uts been over 2 hours and my tire still has yet to be touched. If all I can do is leave bad reviews I'll leave one everyday until they realize a human is a human and I worked my butt off to have the things they decide to sit in the corner because I'm not what they want to deal with. I buy my wife's 20 inch tires from there as well and I will now be in search of another tire shop because this is ridiculous. read more

I am adding another review from one I posted from a few weeks ago. My last review was unfavorable because tire tread measurements were not accurate. Since that post, I have been contacted by the manager of the store (Thaddeus). He asked for details of what happened at my appointment and asked that I please return and let him measure the tires himself. He did so and took copies of tread measurements I had from my last visit at Discount Tire as well as measurements from Audi service. He made a very generous tire offer to me and said he was going to use this example as staff training. I am very pleased he followed up and also for the lesson I received about tires as well.
