Avoid this place. Went for oil change and suspension check (worn ball joints). They completely missed diagnosing a CV axle issue that anyone can clearly see with the car up on a rack during inspection. They overfilled the oil in the car during oil change. Then also tried to charge another $200 for additional diagnostics that they wouldn't even apply towards repairs! We left Goodyear store and had the work done elsewhere. We returned to Goodyear but the service rep and manager in the store were too busy behind the counter for 10 minutes to even acknowledge us when we returned. Returned in November to a flat tire and a dead battery. I had a mobile crew come and put in a new battery & some air in the tire until it could be repaired the next day. Brought the car in for the tire but that business wasn't good enough...they told me I needed a new battery?? Said it happens to snowbirds all the time. At 4:30 last evening, something fell off the underside of my car. I made an emergency stop to this Goodyear auto service dealer. You told me that it would cost $95 to put the car up on the lift just to take a look. I've heard of such a thing as highway robbery, but this is certainly yet. Went to Goodyear because I searched for ac system cleaning online, this was the only shop that advertised for it. Called for pricing, received voice mail that it was $69, $10 off special for it. Made appointment online for a ventilation (HVAC) Cleaning, synthetic blend oil change, and some of the free services they provide that can be booked online. He said there were no issues with the car. I asked, how long will it take? 1 hour, need to wait for the chemicals to finish. How often is recommended for the ventilation cleaning service? He said Once every 1 or two years. And if cabin air filter pretty dirty, then most likely need the cleaning, he stated. I let him know that the dealership has oil change for same price, includes car wash. He said go for that. Once the service was completed, paid, left and I smelled some mustiness mixed with deodorized smell. Then drove a bit, stopped, checked again with my nose, right up to the vent, turned a/c on, it smelled fresh. I made an appointment for an oil change at the oro valley shop for a $24.99 advertised oil change set it up on line and got a confirmation email that gave the total price at $27.99 when I got here they said oh no we don't have that one we only have the next step up now it will cost over $50.00 I could have gotten a 50 dollar oil change a half mile from where I live but I drove 12 miles out of my way to get ripped off there is no excuse for sending a confirmation email with a price you have not intention of honoring do yourself a big favor and steer clear of this rip off business. These guys are clowns. Made an appointment online for an oil change/tire rotation and was given a price online. When I arrived and checked in, I was quoted a higher price. My husband had been there a week prior and paid less for his truck that takes more oil than my car. I told him the price online and he said "oh I can do $15 off" so I said ok. Got home and almost immediately got a call telling me they couldn't get the drain plug off and would have to use some special tool and it was going to cost me almost $100 more for them to use this "special tool". I told him no and I'll come get the car. I got bad vibes from this guy from the get go and was not giving them my money. When we arrived, he showed me pics of it and tried to explain the issue. But I didn't trust him. I took my car to Oro Valley Automotive and *gasp* they were able to get the drain plug off without a special tool and without over charging me. I did need a new part but it was $7, not $100. Also interesting my glove box was broken after this trip to Goodyear. Could it be because he had to get into my glove box to access the air filter? My fiancé brought his car into good year to get a tire plugged from having a nail in it with a slow leak. They refused to plug it and insisted he purchase two new tires with the same tread because of the AWD. He just bought the car last week and they have brand new tires on them. They said over $500 for two new tires plus a realignment. The lady at the front desk told him that even if his appointment goes over the 5pm time then they will stop working on the car once they close even though he had an appointment. He decided to turn down the service and take the car to discount tire where they said they could fix the tire without having to put new tires on. They also confirmed that good year was trying to get money out of us.. Extremely disappointed. Short version: Poorly trained mechanics cost me time and money. Long version: Came here for tires on my car a while ago. Everything is great, I like the tires too. Jump to last weekend when I take the front wheels off to replace brake pads and 5 out of 10 of the wheel studs broke off because the Goodyear mechanics over-tightened and/or cross-threaded the lug nuts. Thank god I wasn't fixing a flat tire or I would also be paying for a tow truck thanks to Goodyear. I'm not looking forward to taking the rear wheels off next, but I'd rather have them break off in my garage than on the side of the road. Zero stars for having high school dropouts for mechanics. One star regained because at least the tires are good. I will not be returning. read more

Went into the store on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. (open 8 to 5 p.m), heard door chime, went to the counter where an employee (presumably a mechanic) was eating his lunch. He stared at me for a moment and went back to eating his lunch without so much as acknowledging my presence. I waited at the counter for several minutes with no one coming out. I called them on my cell phone and it rang 12 times before the manager (Chadd Procter) came to the front. I told him I needed a lube, oil and filter for my car and was told rather abruptly that they couldn't do one. I had to inquire further if they had any openings later in the day, and with GREAT effort on Mr. Procter's part he told me, "yeah, after 3 p.m. This is not any way to run a store in my opinion, but I guess Goodyear could give a hoot about its customers. I've tried to use them in the past with similar results. I'll never go there again and will tell all my friends to use other automotive needs for their services. read more

Booked online and it still took 20 minutes to get checked in without anybody else in line. They kept trying to upsell me and even at one point told me that my truck required at least semi-synthetic oil which we proved to be a lie. Finally told me it would be the same price to upgrade the oil since I was getting the tires rotated. She rang it up and it was another $20 difference...then rather than apologizing went on to rationalize the better quality oil versus acknowledging the lie (or mistake). I finally said "UNCLE" and the manager heard, who unfortunately didn't recognize how his customer was being treated. 2 hours later I finally got my truck back. So we had an alignment done in February after my husband (a cert. Mechanic) had done substantial front end work. All seemed good. Our tires were rotated at this visit, too. Tires had 20,000 miles on them at that time. Went today to get tires rotated before a cross country trip. We're told they could be rotated but front two were not safe. (Toe-in damage). Went back to good year to trouble shoot why this happened. Was told my husband must have not tightened the bolts, and that caused their awesome alignment to go. They re-alligned and told us our rack and pinion were bad. Have NEVER had to top-off power steering fluid!!! They really don't know what they are doing and if they have to degrade my husband to be"right" they are just a bad place in my book!
