In the tire pressure check, the employee told me my front tires are getting dangerously worn around a level 4-5. A few months after that, I brought my car to the dealership and they told me my front tires are a 6 (a few months later!). When driving home from California, my wife hit debris and shredded the passenger rear tire. I took the car in to Discount Tire, as their prices were good, AND I had a Discount Tire warranty on the tires for road hazards. I got there 20 minutes before opening, as Monday had no appointments available. There was a line of people waiting at the door. I was forth in line, but the manager came out and told us we'd go in the order that our cars parked in the lot! This made me tenth. Good. I didn't know an employee was watching the lot. This is a pretty cool process, and fair. I purchased two tires, one being free due to warranty coverage. Paid with Apple Pay. Everyone that goes there is in a jam; discount tire is consistently value driven, positive mental attitude, sense of urgency, and they do fair business never trying to screw you over (no pun intended) or force up sells. Today and yesterday the entire staff of this location bent over backwards to help me out. JT,Julio, Julio, Bryant, Troy, Jesus, and all the rest of the team were on their A game as per normal. I swear I am always so pleasantly impressed by Discount Tire. I would never go anywhere else. The magazines are put away for the pandemic but they still have free bottled water while you wait (just gotta ask). I actually enjoyed my time there chatting with the other customers and staff. It was the afternoon before I was to leave on a major 3500 mile trip, and I got a "low tire" indication. In a bit of a panic I drove to this store, arriving about 1.5 hours before they were scheduled to close and asked if they could repair it. The accepted the challenge, and I was on my way home with a fully repaired tire before 6PM. And of course without a charge which they never invoke on tire repairs like mine. I had a construction road hazard on March 3rd. My vehicle got towed here March 4th. On March 31 I decided to move my service to another location. Why did I wait so long? I'm a woman who didn't know what to expect from a tire shop. But, I learned... I observed this location doesn't work as a team. Not sure if they communicate or care about each other's customers. While Troy was out, Ricky knew I was confused as to why he tried ordering wheels from EBay, and did nothing. When Troy came back he just sent me back to him. Troy, who was "taking care of me" always failed to communicate with me. Missed my second dented wheel from the beginning because he didn't bother to check it. Always had me waiting on him, didn't send me an invoice until about a week later. Did I mention wheels from EBAY without my approval. Never told me to check out their Discount tire website, had me looking at other websites, would suggest me getting wheels I didn't like. When I showed him what I liked, he would tell me they were back ordered. didn't matter what I picked. My other location had my stuff the next day! even though they had to order them. Troy reached out and said "I got a call from the other oracle store" and "I do have the wheels you wanted on the way". Well, the other location has them NOW. I was in the store yesterday to have a used tire installed. The polite and knowable service advisor said with out appointment the repair could take approximately 2 hours. I felt that was a fair assumption. I was back in my truck in 1 hour and 25 min. I was updated during the wait . Their sales consultants do a amazing job. They kept all the waiting customers updated and watered up and cooled down with the comfortable showroom. The work and price point were more then expected. There were lots of cars arriving and when the store opened several employees came out to begin helping everyone and had created a list of the cars that arrived and in what order, so those that had arrived first were assisted first. HONEST. I got a flat tire that was repairable and went to another tire company in Oro Valley that shall remain anonymous and was given a pricey estimate. I had a hunch that the tire was repairable so I carefully drove 5 miles south to Discount Tire. The staff stayed open after closing time to accommodate me. They patched and filled my tire FOR FREE (since I purchased it from there) and sent me on my way. I will continue to only purchase my tires from there for life. I called Discount Tire at the Oro Valley location on Tuesday of this week to have a flat tire fixed. I was scheduled the next day at 3 pm. My Sprinter RV had a slow leak on the inside dually. Not an easy fix. The RV was driven into the repair shop promptly at 3 pm. I was out of there in 30 minutes! Mark and Jesse took care of me and they were extremely professional and courteous. I never met the manager, Raul, however I observed him working with customers and answering phones and I was extremely impressed with his manner and professionalism. This is the second time I have asked Discount Tire to fix a tire. It is free. Part of their corporate culture and marketing plan, no doubt. I can tell you this. When I am ready for new tires, I will drive directly to the nearest Discount Tire Store! My other experience was in Rochester, MN. A friend with a fifth wheel RV had a similar experience on the road. Had a flat and decided to replace all four tires with quality tires from Discount Tire. He couldn't say enough about their work and their style. Additionally, I noted the shop atmosphere/attitude. Extremely busy, efficient, and professional along with the service members communications with each other in a positive manner! Plus, they are great singers!
