I've been a loyal discount tire customer for 13 years. I have moved states and attempted to keep the same account to show this but over the years they haven't kept up with keeping my records. No worries but today, for the first time in 13 years and attempting to add certifications to likely the 15th vehicle I have added, they refused to sell me certificates on 4 tires on a new car I just purchased. The tread was just half way used. I've added certs before at that or lower at other locations. Out of all the years I never had to get tires replaced and spent hundreds of dollars on the tire certificates you would think the way their customer service is known for as top notch, they would allow me to add them. Check my history. I maybe had to cash in once or twice and they were just repairs on my entire line of vehicles. I have referred so many people to discount tire but word of mouth goes far. It's sad, this place used to put the customer first. They are always busy but as things like this start to happen, they will loose loyal customers like me. I wanted to spend $62 today for something they likely won't have to spend money on later. Instead you just lost a very long term customer. I currently have 4 vehicles with certs sitting on them in the past 4 years alone and you didn't care about loyalty. Even spoke to the manger and he said it wasn't a smart move for the business to add them. I feel it was not a smart move not to add them because of loyalty and long term business. Heck, I was going to be paying you money today for nothing other than a status on my tires. Guess they don't see the value of a customer anymore like they used to. Very disappointed. I had appointment yesterday at 2:30 PM. for fixing a flat. 1 worker cashier was helping a customer. The other one just stand ignoring me and keep looking at the other cashier who was try to sell something. Finally after a while he asked me what I needed. I told him I came to fix my tire. He had hard time finding my info. I found it strange I bought 4 tires less than a year from the same store and made appointment online 6 hours before my arrival. After collecting all the info, he came by and told they would not repair the flat because the tire is really bad. I said the tire has only 1 year and what about the warranty. His answer was the Toyota Sienna usually makes tire bad quickly (and of course my car happened to be Toyota Sienna). There was clear incompetence and lack of willingness. I hope I never go to this store again. In addition, the discount store on Braker/Burnet road broke my stud (wife car). It cost me $ 150 to repair and missing few hours of work. read more

I got a screw in my tire on my way to work the other day. Luckily, this Discount Tire location was nearby. I pulled in around 8:05 AM and by 8:30 they had repaired my tire (for free!) and I was out the door and back on my way to work. Everyone was really nice and helpful. A month ago I had a flat tire. I called Discount Tire Store - Pflugerville, TX, thinking I had purchased my tires there. Andrew answered the phone and was very kind. I asked if I could verify that I had purchased my car tires there so I could bring it in for a flat fix. Andrew said to bring it in and Discount Tire would fix it regardless of where I purchased it. I ask about re-balance and he said they would also re-balance at no cost. Assuming the best, I took the tire off the car, and noticed that flat was due to a screw in the center of the tire tread. Took the tire in and they promised it back to me within two hours. After about an hour I get a call from Andrew stating that the tire was not fixable due to the large hole from the screw. I asked if the tire was covered under the Road Hazard Warranty I had purchased for it. Andrew stated that the tire was a Walmart tire and they did not sell that tire. Andrew insisted that I come in to purchase a new tire since my tire was not fixable. I told him that I was pretty sure I had a Road Hazard Warranty since I usually get it with for my new tires. He insisted that they would give me a "discount" on the new tire I purchase from them. I told him that I wanted the same tire as the other three. He insisted that there was no issue with installing a different tire on the car. Andrew was very insistent that I come in to talk with them. I picked up the tire, took it to Walmart for Road Hazard Warranty. The Walmart mechanic was bewildered by my experience at Discount Tire. He looked at the tire and said that the hole was a typical screw hole that was very fixable. He fixed and balanced the tire and I've even put about 3,000 miles on it and no problem. Long story short, Beware of this place! they may try to rip you off, especially if you are not well versed with tires and their maintenance and repair. read more

I called Discount Tire to order four new tires and made an appointment to have them installed. I was out of town for the appointment so my boyfriend dropped my car off that Saturday and somehow the wrong tires were put on my car. I called into Discount Tire when I got back into town asking why that had happened and to express my frustration. Stephen apologized and assured me they would order the correct tires and have them replaced on my car as soon as they arrived. The next weekend we took my car in to get the correct tires and once again Stephen made sure to apologize for the error and on top of that he made it right by refunding the cost of one tire. Good customer service was his simple genuine apology. Great customer service was making it right when most people/companies wouldn't have. This review was originally going to be a negative one but Stephen turned that around and we'll definitely be back because of him. read more

My girlfriend went into this location without me to get a tire replaced. Originally, we were going to NTB since her tire is a very random size but went here because that is where the tires were originally bought. Discount tire had the tire in stock but was more expensive. When she told them to that she was going to just go to NTB, they began presuring her into purchasing it from them. Stating "I dont know why you would go there because you have leverage with us." and continuously asking why to the point where she was in tears. If this is the type of sales that Discount Tire is requiring them to make then I will happily take my business else where. read more

I have to recommend this Discount Tire; the manager Johnnie gets it when it comes to providing excellent customer service. I purchased four Continental tires from Discount Tire in early 2014 and was relatively happy with them in both ride and road noise level. Well, early this year after having them rotated and balanced, I began having severe issues with the tires and after 3 trips to have DT try and solve the problem with the Continental tires, the manager did a full adjustment to replace them with new Michelin's. He told me his whole goal was to make sure I continued to be a happy customer. Well, I am! It is not often you find businesses that "get it" when it comes to the idea of providing customer service and maintaining loyalty. I honestly thought these traits were long gone, not so with Discount Tire. They really took care of my issue and I will continue to be a loyal customer for years to come. read more

Found a tire at TireRack, but with the delivery, it was still going to be more than Discount. But Rolando/Brandon still gave me a discount over the phone. Called 2 days later, and they only had 2 tires. Brandon gave another little discount since I had to wait for his courier to deliver 2 more. When I got to the store, I decided not to get the Full certificate(warranty), since i'm on a budget. Rolando was understanding and offered to give me one tire warranty free. He also found a $30 Visa rebate. After saying no initially, I said "go ahead"..still there was no pressure. I called in because I had just gotten a replacement wheel (pier at Houston is all potholes) and spoke with Brandon. Brandon recognized my car immediately when I pulled in and told me that my tire was fine and could be transferred to the new wheel. Firestone was adamant that I buy a new tire to go with the wheel but there was just no reason. I was in and out in 30 minutes and the service was fantastic. I stopped by at 4:45pm to repair a nail in a tire. I explained that I had to be out of there by 5:45 in order to pick up my daughter at her preschool. Despite being 8 cars deep in line, Steve was able to get me in and out for this "NO COST SERVICE" in 30 mins." Worst location I've ever been to. I have been using Discount Tire my entire driving life and until now I have always had a stellar experience. I originally went in for a flat tire on June 8th. Found out it was a cracked rim, so I bought a new set of rims for my truck. They didn't have them in stock and said that they would be in by Friday. One week later I go back in since I hadn't been called to let me know if the rims had shown up or if there was a delay. Turns out the store in Houston never shipped them. 3 days later I had them installed only to find out that 2 of the new wheels did not have the screws for the caps. They said they would order them and should be there in a couple days. 10 days later, no call. I stop in and they hadn't been ordered yet. And now 1 MONTH LATER I stop in because again, no one has called, and they just go back and hand me the screws. Only on my way out did they offer to put them on. Complete breakdown of customer service and not one apology for the lack of care on my truck with the exception of the first time when the rims hadn't shipped. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. SPEND OVER $1000 ON PRODUCTS TO WAIT OVER A MONTH FOR A COMPLETE ORDER. read more

I've lived in Pflugerville since the mid 90's & have always bought my tires at Discount Tire. I guess I just assumed everyone already knew they blow any other tire dealer out of the water! We put Michelin tires on everything we buy, so when we bought a used minivan a few weeks ago, I called our new Pflugerville location. I had a full set of Defenders put on the van. Rolando was awesome over the phone. When I went in to buy the tires both Kyle & Rolando were fabulous! The waiting area is so nice, although you won't enjoy it long, because these guys are so super fast, super friendly, funny, knowledgable & just plain awesome. I used the RR location for years, but never again! So, the next time you need tires or wheels/rims, or just a tire repaired, head straight to Discount Tire in P'ville. Buy the warranty. It pays for itself in one repair. Drive over a nail 1,000 miles from home & you'll find that out right quick! Free repair or replace at ANY Discount Tire if you've got certifications. I've been doing business at this location since it opened. I previously gave them a bad review for poor customer service due their inability to deal with how busy they were. But today I was reminded why I always do business with them. I came in for a rotation and balance. As the salesman entered my information into the computer, he asked if I was interested in purchasing lifetime balance. As I was pondering that option, he noticed that I had had the tires on my truck balanced twice before in the last year or so. Upon seeing this he said, "let's just do this one for free today and see if this solves your problem." He also showed me how good my tires were. No high pressure sales pitch, but just good, honest customer service. If you do business here be prepared for it to take a long time because they are frequently busy. But there is a very good reason for that - good, honest, professional service. read more
