Mohamed clearly doesn't know what customer service is. I called asking to see what items they had for an oil change and inspection, he informed me that systems were down but would call me back. the next day I called back and spoke with him, he said computers just came back up and ignored the fact about calling me back. asked about time again he said the next day Kate in the afternoon (meaning would spend the late part of the day sitting there). I needed my tire fixed, it had become flat due to a nail that I drove over. Sad me. I went to NTB and Katie-Jo got me fixed up. Took the tire so I could come back later. I came back later and guess what, my tire had been fixed, but then there was the part of remounting on my vehicle. Well, the place was rocking with business and I was low man on the totem pole, so to speak. But they got me in quickly, remounted my tire and put the spare back where it cam from. Yousef manages this store, and he's just an excellent face for the NTB brand, providing excellent service and leadership for this location. I also had face to face interactions with Roy in the shop, and they're just excellent people, the kind you want to have when you go to get tires, brakes or service. Going to get tires can be like going to the dentist...you wait to hear tjhw damage reimport. Brought my daughter's car to NTB for a tire plug. When we left, the tire pressure sensor was on, which is common after tire repair. The NTB service rep told us what we expected to hear...drive a few miles and the sensor should synch to the car. BUT after many miles it did not reset and remained on, prompting us to take it back to NTB, who told us they were too short staffed to fix it. When we took it to another tire shop they showed us that the sensor was not even there! NTB either broke the tire pressure sensor or forgot to replace it, and rather than tell us...THEY LIED! Avoid this dishonest shop! ****UPDATE***. After calling and talking to NTB corporate customer service they have reimbursed me for most of the cost of the sensor replacement and labor. I was extremely impressed with the two gentlemen from customer service who assisted me, and expedited my refund. I may not do business with my local NTB again, but these two professionals (Abel and Quintel) salvaged the reputation of the brand. read more

Got all 4 of my tires replace. I got a flat tire and needed a help quickly. I own a Tesla. Tjey quickly setup a walk in appointment. Many other stores didn't have Tesla tires. Fortunately, NTB had the tires and they replaced all of 4 them in a couple of hours. good, easy visit for an oil change; scheduled an appointment and the service started right on time

I came in earlier in the week to get an alignment and was told that even though I had an appointment I would still have to wait in line because they do first come first serve. I watch others who had appointments get their car taken in and an hour went past and my vehicle was still I. The parking lot. I decided to reschedule and I can in today and my vehicle was taken back and when they were done my alignment was worse. I came back in and the employee looked at me with a a frustrated face and asked what can I do for you. I told him my alignment was worse. While waiting I went to the restroom and all I can say is this store needs to be shut down. You would think with the COVID-19 pandemic they would at least clean the bathroom. I sincerely will not come back here again. To top it off the manager told a customer that they were running behind because an employee didn't come and said he was probably in jail. Completely unprofessional and very disrespectful to that employee who may have had an emergency. I remind you this was the manager who said this smh. read more

People are so hard to deal with. Mohammed, the manager on the other side, was so professional and calm, handling my frustration while the company system was down, and he couldn't pull my appointment information or what ordered online. Asked me to email him the order confirmation email and got my car in and did the service without hesitation in a very reasonable time. Took necessary information to release my vehicle because he couldn't run payment. The next morning, he contacted me before he ran the payment and was very professional and friendly. Nothing is more annoying, frustrating, aggravating, and depressing than leaving work only to find your battery is dead. Knowing I had jumper cables, I ran back to the office to see if someone could give me a jump. Well, the 3 guys in the office are definitely NOT southern gentlemen, the only woman in the office was the only offer of help. Once on the road, my mind was racing to determine who would be open so I can get a new battery installed. I stopped at my usual station and they didn't have any batteries in stock. They suggested NTB around the corner. I pull into NTB parking and they were still open. Inside I stood at the counter alone for 5 minutes. I could see two guys chatting in an office off the waiting room. Finally one comes out and helps me. He takes my info and tells me that they only have one battery in stock that my car can take. Something rings a bell in my head, that's when I remember I was here before and they said the exact same thing. I head to the waiting room. Nothing fancy, chairs, a soda machine, and a TV. Three guys and one woman waiting ahead of me, so the wait shouldn't be long. This is when I notice they had Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives on the TV. The people watching it are the three guys, now I know who Food Network is catering to. Thirty minutes later, I am the only person left in the room. I see they finally move my car into the garage. I watch as the guy takes a total of 5 minutes to test, uninstall and install the new battery. The good news, It is just the battery and not the alternator. The bad news, $120.00 for a battery and $30.00 for labor. I can understand the labor as they have to charge a minimum. Seriously, is the battery made of gold. read more

Our daughter took her mini-van in for a leak in her front tire. They told her that she had to pay an "additional fee" for removing the tire because it had a wheel lock on it. I know people in the industry that work for other major chain tire outlets, and they said this is a SCAM. They do this to people (typically young girls) that would not know any different, or better. They also sold her a "used tire" for the price of a new one they have on their website. I called this store and was put on hold for 5 minutes and then told they would call me back. BE AWARE when you do business with these types of places. This is unethical business practices to extract additional fees from unsuspecting customers. Will never go to an NTB again. read more

What can I say Roy is a charm an absolutely wonderful across the board. He is friendly, knowledgeable, reasonable an fair. He takes the time to explain things an listens to your needs not just telling you what you want to hear; only later pay some enormous bill you know nothing about. I've never once felt ripped off or taken advantage of. They are fast to reasonably fair in getting things done an your car back to you. I also recently had the pleasure of meeting Mohamed bc Roy took a vacation, like who said that was ok??? Lol Mohamed though was also very nice an courteous. In all my times bringing my vehicles to NTB I have not once been dissatisfied or disappointed in the least. It's nice to be able to trust in this industry being a woman who know little of the INS and outs of their vehicles an has to trust the word of those behind the counter an all who work on said vehicles. I noticed a screw in my tire and took it over to NTB to have them take a look at it. The shop guy took a quick look at my tire and the screw and said there is nothing they could do, it was too close to the edge and I would have to buy a new tire even though the tire had less than 600 miles on it. Tires for my vehicle come in around 500 bucks each so I decided to get another opinion before I paid for another tire. I took it to another shop to get a second opinion and the other shop said..oh, thats a Pirelli Z rated tire, you cant fix those, but Pirelli does have a warranty for those tires, we can do the paper work and get you a new tire for free or at least a very discounted replacement depending on how long you have owned it. Then he took a closer look at the screw and said it didn't look like it penetrated much into the tire, pulled the screw out and it was less than a 1/4 inch long and barely penetrated into the rubber Turns out it wasn't a problem at all, no new tire needed. If a shop tells you that a penetration is to close to the edge and it cant be fixed, get a second opinion from another reputable place before you drop the money for a new tire. read more

I recently moved from a house to an apartment, and couldn't do my own oil changes anymore. I set a weekday appointment for a standard oil change, and tire rotation, and everything went perfect. I was not upsold for 10 different things. The store manager only found one issue with my car, and he offered to put new wiper blades on. He was right, my old ones were falling apart. The shop uses Napa Proline oil filters, and Valvoline motor oil. $50 out the door for oil change, tire rotation and 2 new wiper blades. Very fair deal, I will use this shop for basic service like this in the future. read more

We have visited NTB a couple of times in the past, but our last two trips have been above and beyond in terms of service, and I wanted to call them out. Our car battery was dead, so we came in to get it replaced. Roy met us in the parking lot before I had even turned off the engine. He was polite and easy to talk to. Once he understood what we needed, he proceeded to contact additional resources to ensure we had the right battery. Before we moved forward, he advised that we check the voltage on the battery just to make sure we couldn't charge it instead of having to purchase a new one. He was able to determine that the battery was salvageable, and advised us to purchase a trickle charger to bring the battery back to 100%. Due to COVID, we hadn't been driving our cars much, and the battery had just died due to that non-use. The trickle charger did the trick, and Roy's commitment to great service ended up saving us over $200 in repairs. In this day and age, it is so refreshing to have positive auto repair experience where you feel like your future business is more important that your current. Every time I go here, there's always something they fail to do. I requested tires rotated with oil change, came back to pick up, not done! Couldn't wait around another 2 hours, so left disappointed. Next time asked for fluids to be filled with oil change, not done, 2 weeks later my coolant & wind shield fluid bone dry!! Am I supposedly to get under the hood & check every fluid before I pay them?? Found Tire Engineers 10 minute oil change!! Amazing service, they actually fill your fluids and rotate your tires!! Best deal in town! I had a tire fail inspection and had 1 day before the month was up to get it corrected. I decided to get 4 new and bigger AT tires for my truck. NTB had a better price than any other tire shop in town or online. I got over there 1 hour before they closed and they stayed late to install the tires and dial in my alignment. If you're looking for THE most subpar tire place in the entire Austin area look no further. Here "NTB" stands for NOT THE BEST. So first off it's a simple tire replacement and when we showed up the tires were on the car and it was outside and ready for us, sweet right? But you know what else tires need? Air DUH. So we had to get the woman at the front desk and SHE aired up the tires for us and tried to find the sad excuse of a worker who did the job. NOBODY would own up to working on our car and when she attempted to question the person who most likely dis he tried to worm his way out of this. I feel so bad for her having to put up with all that. SHE was literally the only good thing about this place, many kudos to her and NOBODY else. read more

Getting ready to leave at 10am for a noon meeting in downtown San Antonio, I walk out of the house and discover my back right tire is flat. I call my appointment, and let them know I'm going to be late and will update as soon as I get tire situation figured out. I get the car over to NTB, and tell them my situation. It's Sunday, and they're busy, so I don't expect much, but I ask if there's any way they can fit me in and help me get back on the road. Turns out I have a screw in my sidewall, so I have to replace the tire (I saw it when I was examining the flat, and they showed it to me again and explained why they can't patch a sidewall). Luckily, they have the same tire in stock, and it's discounted, so the replacement cost is reasonable. Forty-five minutes later, I'm back on the road and make my rescheduled appointment. Customer service was fantastic. They explained the issue, patiently answered all of my questions (and I was stressed, annoyed, and trying to get out as fast as possible, so I know I wasn't the best customer), and did their best to get me taken care of quickly. I was told it would take about an hour and a half because of how many cars were ahead of me, but they were able to get me out in about half that time. Pricing was reasonable and matched what I found online. The place was clean and comfortable, and the staff was courteous and friendly. I will definitely continue to do business here and recommend it to my friends. read more

WATCH OUT! I made an appointment for 8:30 to get tires installed that I found on their website. There were 2 cars getting finished when I rolled in. I could tell the guy at the front counter works on commission. So, He questioned me on why I didn't buy this or that, and I told him I purchased what was recommended by a friend who is a manager in Plano. He told me it would take an hour, WRONG! 2 hours to take 4 tires off the truck, mount new ones on the rims, balance them, and put them back on. Because that's not what they do. They check out the entire truck looking for service or products old slick can try and talk me into. I told him, I just want tires. I guarantee they take advantage of people and frighten them into buying unneeded parts and other things the slick talking counter guy can sell so he can make his commission. This really gets under my skin. I WILL NEVER RETRUN TO ANY NTB AFTER THIS! NO WAY TO CONDUCT A BUSINESS! Just put the tires I bought on and have a nice day. They did that and I have new tires. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change. Showed up early. Ask the sales rep how long and he said one hour. Really one hour for a scheduled oil change..? An oil change is a 15 to 20 minute job... So that means they dont honor their scheduled appointments. SO One hour AND 40 minutes later I was done... the point of an appointment is to get in and get it done so I can move on with my life/ day plan.. The workers and business seemed fine. I watched them help several people and not charge them(low air psi, and so on), so i am sure they are making some positive comments out there.
