Wow what an experience. I went in for their free air pressure check. He told me I needed 4 new tires. Now I had just gotten theses tires from them about a year and a half ago so I thought it must be because I'm a girl and he's trying to snow me. So I happened to be getting my oil changed by my mechanic whom I've been using for many years and he even said I needed tires. So it just so happens that I get an email for a Black Friday deal saying if I buy 4 tires online and make an appointment to have them installed I get $50 bucks off. Ok. That works. So I buy the tires and make the appt for the next day. I go. I get them put on. The guy says wow you really didn't get a lot of mileage on these. We will submit them to Yokohama and they'll prorate it for you. Since it was Saturday they couldn't do it that day. So my total was $492. That's with the $50 discount for 4 Michelins. So Monday comes and I get a message saying the guy I had wasn't working that day and he'd take care of it Tuesday. Ok I thought it was nice that they took the time to let me know. So I stop in on Tuesday and my guy calls the company right there. He refunds my $492 and the new charge was $173. They were 80k mile tires that only lasted 17k so I got most of it back. Then I said but what about the Black Friday discount? He said well you're already getting them for $173. I felt intimidated so I accepted it and left. The more I thought about it the more annoyed I got. After all, I did what I was supposed to do for that deal. He said they would have to eat the amount I was refunded because the tires didn't get saved. Someone disposed of them. Not my fault either. So I went back. A new guy helped me. I explained. He pulled up the info. He got my guy. He said does this amount reflect the $50 off? My guy hesitates. Looks at me. I say nothing. He knows. I know. He says well we're eating the prorated amount because the tires were disposed of. New guy says that doesn't matter. Does it reflect the $50? My guy says- I guess not. New guy gives me the refund. 4 new Michelin tires for $123. ;-) Just beware people. read more

These people suck. I took my 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS in today for 4 new tires. Left the keys with them due to long wait and had promise from JUAN (manager) that I would receive call when the new tires were installed. Over 3 hours later I returned due to no call to find my car sitting in the unsecure parking lot with the alarm not set, doors left unlocked, and trunk open for anyone to come by and take whatever they wanted. In addition, there are jacka$$ employees working there who do not know how to drive a manual transmission with a reverse lockout because they literally ripped the shifter boot off the console and damaged the shifting mechanism - the car will now shift into ANY gear when the engine is turned off and the clutch is NOT engaged. I show the manager 'PAUL' who is now on duty the condition my car was left in and his response was "the glue just came loose". OK, and my certified mechanic husband is an idiot. This yahoo refused to take ownership and responsibility for the actions of his staff and now I am looking at the possibility of paying for these repairs myself as the car is damaged. Let's just leave it said that Bruce T. Halle President and Director, Rick Sims, Regional Vice President, and Phil Trent, Assistant Vice President, will all be receiving phone calls from me next week. Fortunately for me, the corporate offices are here in Scottsdale so I can stop by as well with the pictures I took BEFORE dropped the car off (including the odometer reading) and the pictures I took AFTER when I picked it up showing the shifter boot separated from the console. Some yahoo in the showroom muttered something to the nature of "the car only moved 25 feet so I don't see how it could happen" I told him I've been driving this car for years and an idiot who did not know how to drive this car could easily damage the shifter in less than 25 feet - by the way, dude, it is MORE than a 25 foot drive from THAT parking spot to YOUR lifts in the shop. read more

How can you say anything bad about Discount Tire? They check your tires for free, they event fix the flat or if you have a small hole in your tires. Unlike Sears and/or any other places, they charge you for the service and you don't even get the money back if you purchase tires from them. I usually go to Discount Tire once every 3 months to check my air pressures, you are in and out in under 5 minutes. Feel free to compare between Costco, Sam's Club, and Discount Tire. Noticed a lot of large cracks in my 8 year old truck tires so I went to the Shea Discount Tire store where I have been going to since the 80's and they got me fixed up with some new new tires within an hour and gave me a prorated 60% credit for the old tires (they only had 20k miles on them). I went in just to air up my tires and Justin found a nail, did a thorough inspection for tread wear and took the time to talk to me about balance and rotating. Got me in and out this morning quick and easy as you please for the service and repair, all free of charge. This Discount Tire location charged me for both tire pressure monitor kit and balancing. They did neither. I had to go back to get the tire pressure monitor kit properly reset and they acted as if I had done something to the system. The balancing was also overlooked. I will get the tires balanced elsewhere as this location is not trustworthy. They failed to do the job correctly more than once. read more

VERY disappointed in the experience I had at this location yesterday. I have purchased many individual and sets of tires for my 5 cars as well as my corporate fleet of 14 vehicles from Discount and have had very good success primarily at the locations on 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright and 7th Ave and Bell. Unfortunately this store was not good. My wife hit a pot hole just down the block from this store in her BMW and the flat tire light came on immediately and she pulled in. They said it was too flat to fill and would take a look at it. The tire was toast and they told her they could not get a tire or a set of tires until the following day. I drove 25 miles across town to pick her up. Upon arriving and meeting with the store individual he reiterated what he told my wife that by only replacing one tire the car would pull significantly to that side because that tire would be new and the others were getting close to the point they would recommend needing new tires (not there yet but within the year). Well that is a complete lie. Has anyone ever taken their car in to get one tire and been told it would be a big deal to change out one tire? I have done this 10 times at Discount and have never been told that. If that were true, would they just repair one tire under their warranty when one goes bad? Wouldn't they warranty them as a set? Worst case wouldn't they recommend putting the tire on the back given they are all the same size? Then he tells us its only the run flat tires he can't get. When I tell him I don't want the run flat tires, he then tells us he can put on a set of regular high performance tires today. What? He couldn't give my wife that option when I was on the phone? Funny the run flats were more expensive than the regular tires. So I drive across town for absolutely no reason as they can get it done today. If I had a choice, I would have left never to return but the car isn't drivable so we put on a new set. My wife stays with her car and I drive all the way back across town. Last night she tells me the technician who changed the tire told her the wheel is slightly bent and that he can replace it. She asks if its a problem and he says the tire will just wear differently. What? Either the wheel is good or its not. What kind of crap is this. Again, do they put this wheel on the back? We have no idea and that wasn't offered. These guys were totally trying to take advantage of my non mechanical wife and treated her terribly. They saw she was upset of the damage to her car and were looking for a sale. VERY disappointed in this and seriously questioning if I will ever use Discount again. Not sure if the company is changing but I never would have had an issue sending my wife or daughters there and expecting them to be taken care of professionally. Never again. read more

Discount Tires will check and fill your tire pressure for free, while you wait, anytime. That's a nice service. I found out that they will also repair your flat tire for free. That's a great service. I had them repair a flat. The tire had a huge drill bit sticking in it. Over the next week the tire lost air so I returned and left the car for them to take a look. They called an hour later to tell me that they had replaced that tire, free of charge, since they did not repair it right the first time. I hadn't purchased the tire there nor did I have their road hazard coverage. They just gave me a new tire valued at over $150. That's above-and-beyond customer service. 3232 E. I took my car in the other day to get the tires balanced and mentioned that I had to add air to one of my tires a couple times in the last month. They not only balanced my tires, but they inspected the tire I was having issues with, found a nail and repaired the tire. Cost of service: $0.00! On September 24, 2018 I called to get a price quote. after we agreed on price i came to purchase and install. I was told: "sorry, you have a different rim size then what you actually have. we can substitute...." I purchased the substitutes and paid more than my original quote. On October 31, 2018 my car dealer found an issue with one of these new substituted tires and suggested I get discount tire to replace it. I returned to the same discount tire and they suggested an optimization process. whatever that means. while I was waiting, i overheard a second salesman tell another customer the same story i heard on september 24, 2018 by a different salesman. He told his customer, "sorry, we ordered the wrong rim size than what you have on your car. we can substitute..." it appears this is how discount tire gets their customers to order tires in advance and then bait and switch at time of installation I suggest if anyone orders tires from discount tire and they hear this story, to run to another tire retailer. I contacted discount tire customer service and asked to honor their original tire offer and after 48 hours, I am still waiting for a response as to their sales practices. I may have no choice but to file with the attorney general office for fraudulent sales practices. read more

Initially came in for a flat tire. While putting a new tire on my car, I was informed that the tire I had purchased was mislabeled on a lower quality tire. I was offered to use the lower quality tire until the tire I originally purchased was brought to the store the next morning. I was told I would be called when the new tire arrived. Couple days passed, and no call. I called Discount Tire and was informed that the tire had not come in, and again I would be called when the new tire arrived. Another few days pass, and still no call on the new tire. My spouse calls Discount Tire and was informed that I had been called hours ago (I was not, and never did Discount Tires call me, I always called them regarding the tire), and could have the tire replaced at my discretion. So I go in the same day my spouse had called to have the new tire replaced. I waited 45 minutes and was told my car was ready. I go home, and happen to glance at the tires, only to noticed that the tire had not been replaced nor rotated as promised. I returned to the company and explain that I am frustrated that my tire had not been replaced. A Discount Tire employee does a walk through on my car, and talks with the men who worked on my car. The employee later returns and says that the guys thought the car had already been worked on and discharged the car. I ended up with the right tire, but felt as if I, the customer, was an inconvenience to the company. I would have liked a follow up call after my first attempt to get the new tires and an explanation as to why it took 11 days to receive a tire. read more
