I have always purchased my tires at Discount, but when I came in for service, one of my tires (that would otherwise be covered under warranty), was nowhere in their system. I have white rims and they took extra care in keeping them from scratching. The tires I got last a really long time and they have saved me from hydroplaning. The first pair I bought had a needle stuck in the side wall and they replaced my tire free of charge because I paid the warranty during install. Now my car feels so smooth and turns sharp! I came here because my two tires in the front of my vehicle were some what reaching a bald point. As it turns out I had a warranty for the two tires. When everything was said and done it came out to $130 bucks and some change. I wasn't satisfied about the price that I had to pay for my warranty replacement. I questioned the pricing and one of the employees there took the time to look over my account. Then the employee managed to lower the price down to $61.00. I was very grateful afterwards because the warranty was still included with my new set of tires. Thank you. read more

I left my Honda Civic for a very routine set new set of tires. I left my car there the whole day so there was no rush to get it done. Went to pick it up 3-4 hours after I got a notification saying it was done just to pull up and find my car windows were down leaving access to everything inside. When I inside to get my keys and complained to them they said it should have never happened and I was what ever about it and left. Next day my tire light turns on and have to go back to a different tire place as this place is closed on Sunday. Turns out my car that is supposed to only be at 32 psi was filled to 42.. This should have never happen as when tires are too full they can pop and cause accidents especially in hot climates. DO NOT COME HERE LISTEN THE BAD REVIEWS AND PAY THE FEW EXTRA DOLLARS AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE OR YOU WILL HAVE TO COME BACK. read more

Let start with the Discount Tires service aspect they offer curbside service but they check you in and forget about you. I had a 1pm appointment and respecting Covid guidance I waited outside for 15min then I had to talk to an employee on the bay in order to get service. Why offer appointments if you dont honor them. I took my wheels off my car because it does run a spacer and Discount will not work on cars with spacer. The Technician look at the tires and said that the screws that were in the tire was vandalism and not road hazard and that was it!! So no one else would look at the tires to confirm his decision. I payed a lot of money for new tires from Discount and the thought I was doing the right thing by purchasing it he road hazard certificates. I have been a customer with numerous vehicles that have had tires purchased from Discount. Well needless to say I will no longer purchase tires for me and my family there! They lost a loyal customer that has a fleet of personal and work vehicles. Guess I will go to Big O Instead!! read more

Thursday afternoon I noticed my back passenger tire was very low (nail puncture), luckily I was able to drive it to this location and the customer service was phenomenal. They were able to repair my tire in a timely manner. I've always been extremely pleased with the service of Discount Tire. Don't go to this Discount Tire. I'm not saying don't go to Discount, I'm saying don't go to THIS location. I had to replace tires & went to this location instead of the Thomas Rd location because it's closer to my house. Waited a few hours, got the tires & was on my way. Drove home, & didn't drive anywhere until 2 days later when I was on my way to an appointment and my tire blew & went flat. Miraculously, this happened in front of a tire shop & a worker saw the accident & put my spare on for me. I asked him what happened to make it go flat & he told me it was a broken valve. When I took it back to Discount, they confirmed it was a broken valve but denied fault. There was no other way that valve could've been broken except negligence on their part. They "fixed" my tire & sent me on my way but they should've replaced it considering their negligence led to me getting in an accident (& then I was out my deductible). Also, they failed to offer me replacement insurance & claimed I declined it even though I've always had it in the past. If you're going to pay $400+ for tires, what's $25 for peace of mind? I honestly believe that they knew about the broken valve and let it go in order to get me to purchase another new tire, but when its failure caused an accident, they fixed it for free. All in all, they screwed me at the Baseline location. I still purchase tires through Discount because they are the best, but I will NEVER go to this location again. read more

Where do I start with this? I am used to the Discount Tire that makes sure their customer is taken care of. I had a tire blowout on the freeway on a Sunday afternoon. I towed my car to this shop as it happened to be the nearest one to where my car broke down at. Being a customer, I knew 2 things. 1, my tire was flat and 2, Discount tire would fix it. I left my car in their parking lot overnight and called them first thing Monday morning to advise them of the situation. They said that they would get everything taken care of, that they would be fine only having to replace the one tire, and it would be done that same day. So I picked up my car that afternoon, happy as a clam. One of the employees (Victor?) seemed to be in a rush and while my credit card was giving me problems, he was pressuring me to just use a different form of payment and call my credit card company later. That wasn't very nice. Regardless, I was happy to be over the situation and I drove my car home. The next day (today), I got ready for work. On my way out of the Starbucks parking lot, I notice the same exact wheel that they fixed was yet again, flat. It had barely enough air in it for me to lug it to the nearest QT and fill it with air. I then proceeded to the nearest discount tire to that location (4th ave and Bell). It was then revealed to me that the tire that and the blow out, the same tire that was then again flat, was flat and was having tire issues due to a CRACKED RIM. Now.. I am not saying my rims were in perfect condition. In fact, I knew that they had seen better days. But words cannot convey how it felt to know that they did not fully inspect my rim as they should have for safety/hazard reasons. If they had only taken an additional 3 minutes.. THREE minutes... to check the rim and see that it was cracked, I would have GLADLY paid for a new set of rims and tires right then and there. Times like that it is not about money- it is about safety and I TRUSTED them to tell me that my car was or wasnt safe to drive. They were NEGLIGENT in not checking for my safety and literally, put my life at risk. I can't imagine what could have happened if I didn't notice the flat this morning and kept driving up the freeway to work. Another blowout during rush hour? This discount tire put my life at risk and it is my mission to make sure that this gets as far as it can. This can happen to ANYONE. I am lucky that I caught it before it was too late. I used to love Discount. Not anymore. I let them talk me into purchasing a tire warranty in case the side walls were punctured on my expensive ass tires. Spent the money trusting that if it happened I get my tire replaced. Nope not at all. They hustled me. Found a loop hole so I have to purchase a new tire and would not transfer the warranty that I could not use to the new tire. Side wall punctured. Had to drive on the flat to get off the road. Tried to tell me that wouldn't ruin the tread. Yes it would. It did before when the car was new. That why I purchased the warranty. Stated I would have to purchase a new one. Didn't ever try to work with me. Was rude and just rushed to making a payment. If I wasn't black I bet they would have been more understanding. The white customer in front of me he took the time to work with. With me I was just told it I have to pay after I took the time to pay for a warranty that they would not honor. I was having the WORST day today. My AC in my house went out in the morning and then I got a flat tire while at work. I drove my car into this Discount Tire, and they took it back right away since it was losing air fast. My tire unfortunately was out of warranty, but because of my already terrible day, the manager took cost of a huge chunk of the cost of the tire for me! Also, I was in and out within 20 minutes! These guys are awesome! I bought a new set of shoes for my car in July. Since then my girlfriend ran into a curb and popped one of them and tonight I ran over a screw that popped another. Both were covered by the warranty. Tonight they went above and beyond because I rolled in about 10 minutes til close. There were many people waiting, it was a very busy day but the team was moving around urgently, greeting customers and maintaining their professionalism. I used to do a lot of business with DT, but have found that their prices are just too high, even factoring in their service level. A year or so ago I came to this location to purchase 4 new tires. I knew that DT will price match with their competitors and even with online tire sellers, so I had in hand a printout from an online competitor - same make/model/size as one they had in store. The employee I dealt with looked at the printout and in their computer system and started to give me the stinkeye. He went on to say they don't like to match online retailer prices, but they will take the online price + shipping, add tax and then sell me the tires at that price (DT would then add 8.3% AZ tax on top of this amount). If they did that then I'd only be paying about $2 less per tire than DT's normal price. I said no thanks. Then recently I was looking for 4 new Michelin tires. I priced out a set of Primacy MXV4s at DT with the tire warranties minus a $70 rebate that they had running at the time. Then I took this amount and shopped around. Practically every other tire shop was cheaper for the same tire set (including a road hazard warranty). I ended up getting the tires at Costco and payed $200 less than DT quoted! $200 less at Costco's normal price! Plus Costco doesn't charge extra for road hazard warranties, and will do free rotations/repairs just like at DT. I suppose I could have showed the Costco price to DT so they could match it, however they probably wouldn't have matched Costco's road hazard warranty price ($0) and who knows if they'd play games with adding on tax, or the price of Costco membership, etc. One thing DT has against them is that other tire retailers are starting to include road hazard warranties in the price of their tires while DT still charges extra for them. read more

If I could give more stars, I would. I'm going to make a short story long and give you the play by play. I get home on a Friday night after work and much to my dismay, I have a very flat tire. I quickly search to see what time this location closes..6p. Shoot, what time is it now?..5:30p..crap! I quickly use the air compressor in my trunk to air up the tire as much as possible, Discount is only 10 minutes from my house, I can make it! I get on the road, start rushing over, make a turn on Baseline and traffic is at a dead stop. My enthusiasm drops. I'm only a mile away but traffic is inching slower than a snails pace and now the minutes are passing by 5:40p...5:45p..5:47p.. I start to question, will they turn me away when I get there? IF I get there? I work at 6a tomorrow. The minutes keep rolling by 5:50p...5:53p... I need a plan, I'll tell them they can just throw the donut on it, I'll come back tomorrow after work. Not amazing but it's a solid plan. Now it's 5:55p, I'm barely turning in and as I park I'm focusing on the faces inside because I'm totally about to ruin their Friday evening. At 5:56p, I walk through the door and give my previously rehearsed plan. Deep breath, "Hey, I know you guys are about to close but I have a flat, can you just throw the spare on it and I'll come back tomorrow when you guys are open." I keep walking towards them, expecting a grunt and a barely-recognizable agreement maybe even an eye roll. Instead from behind the counter one of the guys perks up and says "well, let's take a look at it and just see if we can fix it." "Really?," I said in disbelief. We walk out to the car. "Yeah, give me your keys and I'll meet you inside." Dumbfounded, I poke through my purse to retrieve my keys. Dumbfounded, I walked back inside to see another helpful face. Then one more walks in through a door and starts joking that I prob have 20 nails in my tire. A guy walks in behind me, he doesn't get turned away either. It's 6:03p and two helpful faces are now entertaining me while the guys in the back fix my tire. Not one helpful face, TWO! One of the helpful faces announces it's happy hour and hands out bottles of water. I laugh. The verdict, I have 4 nails which is still funny because it's not 20 but it's a lot. But it's repairable. They finish up and send me on my way. It's 6:15p. No charge, it's covered under my previous purchase. I don't have to spend my Saturday there after I get home from work. But these dudes sacrificed whatever Friday plans they may have had. Lifetime customer. read more

As I'm standing in line they finally pull it in. I'm told it will take about 18 mins now. I don't have high hopes. They say they didn't have the correct tool and that's what took so long. Very Very Very Bad Service! These guys cannot be trusted. My husband and I bought the tire repair/replacement warranty certificates per tire about a year ago as discount tire recommends. I had a staple in my tire yesterday that created a flat so we went in to have it repaired. The service man said it was not repairable and then proceeded to sell us 2 more tires at a small fee of $500 because of our AWD. He seemed to change his story slightly during our conversation with him so we decided to investigate further if his statements were accurately and WAS our tire really not repairable? First, we found that the tires he was trying to sell us were about 50 bucks cheaper per tire AND we our tire was indeed repairable. Oh I should also mention Mr. discount tire failed to give us back our flat tire and wheel when we returned to pick up our car (after we told him to leave the donut as is). We called the next morning to pick up our tire and wheel and he claimed he threw away the tire but we told him that was not his to throw away and he better find it. Anyway - we got it and took it to another tire company who was able to repair it in 10 minutes, showed me the tire and all the details about it. I can't believe that Discount Tire tried to pull this on us. Well they pulled it on the wrong people and we will not stop here. Other websites and BBB will hear about this. Was driving on Baseline this morning and noticed the car was not driving smoothly so I pulled over to check and saw I had a flat. Fortunately I was in the Discount Tires lot when I pulled over so I went inside and had them take care of the tire. The tire was not repairable but they had an exact replacement in stock. I bought the new tire with warranty and had my wheels balanced and tires rotated while I was there. They got everything done very quickly and I was on my way. I walked in without an appointment to the lobby with two people waiting, needing to get TPMS checked. I decided to purchase two tires as well seeing that the Discount Tire location was not busy at the time. My car sits untouched for one and a half hours before getting into a bay- many other people come and go for various needs. Soon after the store rep tells me he forgot to charge me for charge me for the TPMS sensors, oops there's another $100 bucks! - another Discount Tire store gave me better pricing for the same set of tires- lower cost on tires and labor? Why are different locations charging different prices? I'm not talking about tax either.... seems shady, will be looking elsewhere for tire needs in the future... not happy with this experience at all! read more
