Things just don't go my way. I'm not having a good day, I pulled a muscle in my back while camping, and I now have to go to the doctors. Bummer. Just like playing Park & Shop when I was a kid, you try to do as many shopping stops in as little time as possible. Tire slowly leaking and needs repair, Doc office, Wallyworld, Lunch (these four all within walking distance, and I get to checkin at multiple on Mobile Yelp) hooray! Not only do I have a nail in one tire (really three in that one) and they point out I have a very bad bald tire that needs to be replaced. Where am I gonna come up with this money? I went to discount tire a few months back because I had a nail in my tire and they fixed it for free even though I didn't buy the tires from discount tires. So I swore that I would give them a try. I needed four new tires and decided to go to discount tires this time. I made an online appointment for a Saturday and figured they would be very busy. The day before my appointment someone from discount tire called to help me pick a tire and reserve the tires for me. Very cool. So on Saturday, I walk in and got helped right away. I changed my mind on the tires I reserved without a problem. It still cost me a pretty penny but that's okay. They promised me that since I made an online appointment that they would have my car ready in 45 minutes. I watched when they pulled my car into the bay and question to myself if they were going to get done in 45 minutes. Anyways, got done in 30 minutes. They also cleaned the tires so it looked nice. As they drop the car off to me they thanked me for my business and that I would hopefully come back. Everyone was very grateful for my business. That's how you do business. Customer service is just outstanding and customer satisfaction seems very important to them. So if I'm gonna spend an arm and a leg for tires no matter where I go then I might as well have good customer service and satisfaction too. I will for sure be back here. Good job Discount Tire. NEVER go here. This place will rip you off eventually. I sent a friend here who knows little about cars - she told me the customer service reps were making prank calls to other stores as she was waiting for service. THEN they installed the wrong size tire on her car - four of them, in fact, which could have damaged her struts. WHY?!?!? After her experience here, I realized that they had failed to follow basic instructions of mine when I had bought several new tires, with the end result that I drove around for six months with no spare tire (partially my fault, of course, I should've checked that the tire floating around my trunk held air - I might've noticed the large gaping hole in the tire at some point). Nothing like the smell of brand new tires to get you excited. Reminds of being a kid in Houston when my father would come home from Goodyear where he worked for quite a while. Things have changed since then and now I have to pay for tires instead of just bringing in the car and saying hook me up. We love Discount Tires and especially this location. Close to the house and you have several options to shop or eat at while you are waiting. I have had them work on all my cars and we are always pleased. You can even go next door for a cold one if time permits. Quick and very friendly service while providing great value. They are so very helpful in the selection process and have several options to choose from their inventory. Today I saved $70 with a special they were running on Michelin tires. Gift card on the way. Guy walks out to my car looks at them walks around car and says yep they look good, you have Michelins! OK great, the guy didn't even bend over to measure tread. And I have never waited longer than 45 mins here and it always has a steady stream of people coming in and out from what I've seen. The customer service at this Discount Tire Company is second to none. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The shop wasn't very busy when I pulled up, and one of the guys walked up to greet me at my vehicle. An unnecessary, but very appreciated gesture. My fiancé's Jeep had her tires replaced at this location earlier in the year. Recently, the tire pressure light kept coming on even after the tires were filled. Since I had the day off, I took it back to have Discount Tire check out the tires, and see if there was a slow leak or any other flaw. The tires had been filled this morning, so the light was off. They tested and inspected them but couldn't find anything. The mechanic mounted them slightly higher than usual, and told me to bring the suv back if it happened again. Not only was this free of charge and done in less than a half hour, but they also didn't treat me like I was an idiot wasting their time. When we had the tires replaced earlier this year, it was also cheap and quick. I'm definitely taking my car here when its tires go. read more

We were in this area doing some shopping and saw DT after getting a low air pressure light. They checked the tire and confirmed there was a leak. We realized we didn't purchase the tires from this company however they went above and beyond with their service. Didn't charge us for the quick repair so we wanted to tip them however they declined. With having a car comes a lot of annoying responsibility. Tires are definitely an annoying responsibility. Discount tries to make things as easy and painless for you as possible, which I appreciate. Sure I LIKE my car, but I'm not one of those people who is obsessed with it. Because I know practically nothing about cars, I appreciate how you can bring your car to Discount and have them check your tires without an appointment to make sure everything is OK. Also when I have had to bring it in they have always been very fast and the guys working there do great customer service. Although they work as fast as they can, I would have someone come with you in a separate car so you can escape for an hour out of the oil smelling lobby with no recent magazines. read more

Went in for an air check and there were about 7 of them in the shop SUPER swamped, but every single one of them took a second to greet me as they passed my car and let me know someone would be right with me. I am kind of surprised by some of the one star reviews on here being that I had such a great experience there this week. I am a long time customer of the Discount Tire closer to my my home but I went to this one because I saw they had the Michelin tires I wanted in stock and I just wanted to get get it done since I had the day off. I was there when the store opened at 8 without an appointment. I was immediately helped and the gentleman working with me offered me a couple of price points on replacing my tires. He was friendly, efficient, and never pushed me to buy the most expensive tires in stock. Luckily I knew which ones I wanted so the process was quick and he rung me up in a matter of minutes. My car was immediately pulled into the bay and they got to work. A few minutes later they came out to apologize because it showed they had 4 tires in stock but could only find 3. I was given a few options on how to handle this and then accepted their offer to put on a better tire at no additional charge. In just about an hour I had 4 new tires on my car and was on my way. Everyone was friendly and customer focused. As I sat waiting for my tires I watched quite a few customers come in and be greeted and taken care of in a fast and friendly manner. I recently learned to call before driving to a location. First I went to an out-of-the-way location assuming they'd be less busy - the waiting room and parking lot were jammed. After calling I drove to the Bell Road location - they said they'd have me out within one hour. They kept their word and I was very appreciative as I was able to keep my appointment in Tempe. Glad I didn't risk driving before having it checked as they did find a screw in the tire. What I am surprised about and will certainly be aware of for future is the reviewer who wrote about their gas being stolen. Wow! Going forward before handing over my keys to anyone, I will take a picture of the odometer and gas gauge as photos are time & date stamped. Here's a "good to know" tip: I purchased 4 new tires from one of their locations in Scottsdale; referred to by my mechanic. My ex-fiance owned a repair shop - learned a lot in the eight years we were together. When choosing a tire from the options this store gave me, I narrowed it down to two. There was a refund via a Visa debit card I believe which was also something to consider. I asked the service writer if I could see both tires. I didn't say why. For insurance reasons, I was not able to go into the shop so they were brought them into the showroom. I asked him to put both tires side by side. One tire was taller than the other. I told him it was because there is more rubber on the taller tire so even though they were approximately the same price, rating, etc., the taller tire with more rubber is the better deal. He said he "never knew that" and "You taught me something today." I was a little surprised he didn't know this. : ) read more

Went into this Discount Tire location to get a tire rotation. They handed me the keys to walk out, but noone told me that they weren't able to get the tires off of my vehicle. I noticed the tread was the same depth on the front and back as when I dropped it off. I called in to verify they performed a rotation. The guy on the phone presumed they got them done but after checking with techs they weren't able to get them off.. I mean it would have been nice walking out of the building knowing this information. This is my first time dealing with them, but if I would have gotten somthing else not done to my truck and presumed they got it done that would be terrible. I had to be "that guy" and call in. Shop did satisfactory work but it's obvious that the employees are getting paid on commission. They always try to sell you the most expensive tires and with add-ons like the warranty. I don't know about you, but If my tire goes flat I am going to take it to the nearest reputable shop for repair or replacement while on the road. Furthermore, I would probably really forget that I have the warranty if I ever really needed it. It's okay to go here for service but be prepared to negotiate for the best price. I personally am not coming back here. I will have my tires replaced at Walmart for half the price. read more

We discussed the kind of driving the tires are subjected to, and he helped me make a decision on which tires would be best. I was able to book an appointment for the next day. I chose all four tires for my car, and my wife paid online for an appointment of replacing all tires. Be aware, you did not pay yet because they did not charge yet! While I was in the store, the clerk pulled up my order and appointment from computer, and then asked me to pay. At the moment I pay, I suddenly realized that this is not the amount that my wife "paid". It turned out that the guy added in a bunch of insurances and did not even ask me if I want, or did not even inform me that the price includes insurance, and, how you can looking at my online order that does not include insurance, but still decided to add them in and charge me without even telling me?! The story did not end. Three months later, my car gave me a tire pressure low warning. I brought it to Costco free air adding service. The guy there told me that my front-right tire pressure is significantly lower than other three tires, and asked me to pay more attention. I checked all the pressure right after, all 36 psi or so. A month later, all tire pressure remained the same but front-right tire dropped to 32 psi. Clearly a problem with Discount Tire, so I brought my car back for service. It was free, which is good. But a week later, I felt that maybe I should not trust them and should verify what I got. I tested all the tire pressures again, to my surprise, the tire they fixed has 40 psi while all the other three have only 36 psi, and the weather is starting to get really hot!! The recommended pressure is 32 psi at cold (or 36 psi at hot) on my car door, why blow it up to 40 psi, you tire professionals?! Just because I did not but any insurance, then I got a leaking tire, and then I got a over-pressured tire? You want to see my front-right tire burst in the hot?! I guess you want to show me that my tire "will" have problem, "if and only if" I did NOT buy insurance? A good way to educate your customers, huh?! And to scare the rest customers into buying insurance, right?! In addition, I was very sure all my four tire valve caps were tightened before I brought in my car for the leaking tire to be fixed. But now all my three normal tires valve caps got very loose, almost falling off, while the fixed tire's valve cap was tightened properly. Hey, hey, ... why you guys need to touch my three normal tires? even if you have a good reason, why you chose to forget to tighten back the normal ones, but only remember to tighten the fixed one? You professional tire men? or your "intentional" tire men? Are you expecting this to be a good future evidence to police that I am a careless man when I got a burst tire some day on highway...? My wife asked me to report to the store manager, I said no. I will let more people know their tricks by sharing it on Yelp, a neutral third party. If I reported to their manager, no more customers learn the lesson from their tricks. Plus, the manager can always come to Yelp and read what customers say, which is what all the great companies do nowadays. read more

Simply stated: Excellent customer service. Have been a customer here for quite a while. Had a busted tractor tire, not even from them, hauled it in on a busy Saturday with no appointment. The tire had punctures, but it was salvageable; they fit me in on a busy morning and managed to fix the holes and give it air. I expected to have to pay some fee...but didn't have to pay anything. I chose the tires I want and walked over to Wal Mart to get some groceries. I had a call after about 30 minutes, I was timing them, that my car was done. Let me say this, I only come here. I trust any company that offers free air checks and tire inspections. My experience has been so great with these guys. My last trip here was surely a miracle. I needed to drive pretty far and be away from home for a few months and got them checked. Based on their assessment of my tires I decided to replace all four. My brother needed a tire and was driving on his donut. They made it so easy for us to make a deal on getting my four tires and putting my best old tire on my brothers car!
