So I am updating my review. I went to this location Monday to get two tires changed out.(they were the tires on the driver side.) and I needed an alignment done. I did not have an appointment which was fine. I didn't mind having to wait a little bit because they said it'd be done around two.(I had my two kids with me. My five-year-old is autistic and my six month old. We are walked them over to game on in the movie theater across the way.) we got a message around 218 that the car was done so we walked our way back to that area to find out that it was just the two tires that were done and it would be another 45 minutes for the alignment OK sure we'll wait another 45 minutes a little bummed that we could've stayed longer at the game on place cause we paid for my son to play on the jungle gym anyways an hour or so goes by still no alignment ended up getting a refund and going home my car was still having issues for some reason driving but I was so exhausted. My kids were just done and I just choked up too. I needed my alignment done still. So around 7 o'clock at night something in my stomach just kept eating away at me that I needed to go check my tires. Lo and behold my bad tires were still on the car. So they took at least one of my good tires and left 1 of my bubbling tire. So I started to go into panic mode. So I had to wait till 8 AM today which is Tuesday to call them and just hope that they either had my tires or could help fix the situation. And luckily they did. They could not get my tires back because I already got rid of them so they put on two new ones for a charge. And I just had to pay for the alignment that they couldn't do yesterday. So I'm bummed that this mistake happened and I had to come back another day with my kids.(luckily I had help today with them.) but I am thankful that they at least fixed the mistake that they did. Hubby went to get 4 year "under warranty" tires, 12k tires rotated. Was given the heavy sales pressure, told he needed new tires, although he had receipt in hand, with all details. Was treated like he was an idiot. It took a"LOT" to get an appointment to have them rotated, almost not worth it. I think that was what the guy was going for. I stopped by to check my tire pressure because my check tire pressure light was on. The employee told me that I needed new tire sensors. I wasn't prepared for that expense and I told the employee that I wanted my keys back and that I would return later. The employee refused my request and said that the car was already being worked on. I felt like he was manipulative and that he was trying to take advantage of me. I ended up having to pay for Four sensors that I didn't want and the next day the tire pressure light came on again. I called the Discount tire in Prescott Valley and they told me to bring my car back in. I didn't want to ever go back to this store again! Nothing like an unexpected detour on a roadtrip back from Flagstaff... My husband and kids got a flat tire in Prescott Valley on their way back from Flag several weeks ago... They ended up getting a tow to the closest Discount Tire, which happened to be this one. I met them there that afternoon and we waited together while the fine folks at Discount Tire took a look at the damage. The reason for four stars vs. five is that they didn't have a replacement tire in stock, so I drove everyone home on that Monday afternoon. Not a fun round-trip, let me tell you ;) That being said, we were grateful that the tire came the next day and that my husband and father-in-law could head back to pick up the car. It was fixed around 24 hours later and good-to-go. The situation could have been much worse. DT was efficient and communicative and took good care of us. The price for the new tire was reasonable, albeit an unexpected expense. We also used their restroom and were able to get a few bottles of water to stay hydrated while we waited. The location is conveniently located right nextdoor to a gas station and some other restaurants, etc... So, if you find yourself in need of anything tire related in the area, you cannot go wrong at this Discount Tire! read more

I've never had an issue with any Discount location before. Just bought new tires here in PV - good service, etc. BUT, one tech redid the valve wrong & I had a flat tire in the morning. Had to put in the spare because it wouldn't hold any air, then drive over & wait over an hour for them to fix the problem. But that's not the end... a few days later my tire light came on, so I went to a different location thinking it was he same tire/issue & guess what?? I was down over 10 pounds & ANOTHER valve was leaking - same side. So they have at least one tech who needs to be retrained or let go. read more

As a retired custom offroad shop owner I know the importance and appreciate good old fashion quality customer service. The team at Discount Tire knows and offers just that. Jacob the store manager is superb and he definitely leads his team by example of good old fashion quality and considerate customer service. I special ordered my wheels and tires from Jacob and when they came in to have them installed I met Luke the assistant manager. He had my Jeep in the shop and out in a flash as promised. But what really shows a company's customer service is when there is a small issue. Later that day I noticed my TPM (tie pressure monitor) had a issue so the following morning I stopped by without a appointment. I told Luke what my issue was. He immediately pulled my Jeep into the shop and turned me over to Patrick. Within a couple of minutes they had the issue resolved and I was back on the road. This new location in Prescott Valley was there when I needed it last Friday around 4:45 pm when I got a blow out by Dewey on the way to Prescott from Phoenix. Was able to change the flat to the inflatable spare bu can only go up to 50 mph on that, but got me to the Discount. They had my tire in stock, and total wait time was only an hour. Nice new Discount tire ok with me. I wanted to check a few things for work with my laptop but their internet does suck, so I wish they could have better internet as a customer like me can be productive while waiting. On our way to Page, Az and looking through Prescott to check it out as a possible place to purchase a mountain home when we retire and after a great lunch we hopped in our Jeep and realized the tire was registering low and did a U-turn to Discount tire to air up and check it out! I'd actually give them 6 stars if I could. First off, I ordered tires with Jacob on a Wednesday and made an appointment to get them installed at the same time. He told me up front they were coming from CA and to call back if I hadn't heard from him by Monday. I ended up calling back on Monday and Reese checked into the order. He found some tires elsewhere in AZ and was able to get them delivered on Tuesday...in time for my Wednesday appointment. I was called by Ken on Tuesday and told my tires indeed arrived as expected. I showed up on Wednesday for my appointment and let me tell you, the place was slammed, every bay was full with guys working and it was raining (and hailing) cats & dogs. I was immediately checked in by Reese and he told me that since I had an appointment, I'd get my truck serviced on schedule and I should be out in an hour to hour and fifteen minute tops. The rain got worse and it was hailing the size of Skittles but Reese and Jacob kept going outside to help customers. Jacob was 100% SOAKED and kept plugging away. My truck was serviced by Luke and his team and the work was completed right when I was told. Luke took the time to pull my truck up and after seeing my concern about the tire pressure reading on my dash, he explained that Dodge computer systems needed a couple miles for the computer to re-set. Once again, great information as my system did re-set less than 5 minutes later. read more

I bought my tires here and came in for a rotation only to notice my tire pressure light was on and one of the center caps on my rims was missing. I brought this up to the manager, only for him to insinuate that possibly one of my neighbors had stolen the cap instead of their wrongdoing. After some back and forth with the superintendent, Jacob, I called the corporate office and had them order the missing part. While waiting in the bay to install the cap, another employee stood about ten to fifteen feet away from me, coughing very loudly, almost to get my attention. With flu season approaching, I looked at him with a worried look, only for him to respond to me with a smirk on his face, "Sorry, COVID is getting the best of me this winter." I purchased four new tires late 2022. I am a senior and my auto does not get driven much. Winter months, it is in my garage. Fast forward to November. 2024. I am on the freeway and I had a blow out going 65 m.p.h. The car was towed to Discount Tires, the original place, where the tires were purchased. Note, the tires were still under warranty. It was suggested, I replace both back tires for even wear. I accepted their recommendation even though, the one tire was in excellent condition. The car went into the garage until spring. I went to wash it and discovered a crack in the fiberglass of the bumper, where I had a the blow out. I addressed the issue immediately with manager. I also got an estimate for the repair, over $900.00 dollars. The manager was respectful, he listened and told me the company would get back to me. Bottom line, Discount Tires paid for the repairs. I came here for a flat repair. I was told it would be an hour or so. I arrived at 0915 am. I watched at least 30 people come and go ahead of me even though I was there 1st. I spoke to 2 other people there for flat repairs. One had an appointment and one didn't. They both arrived after me and left a good hour before me. December 6, 2022, we had new tires and rims installed on our 4Runner. A few days earlier, we went to the store in Prescott Valley. We were helped by Hilario Alavarado. He took time to show my wife several rim and tire combinations. He also helped us out with his experience and gave us some recommendations. I told him that I wanted to take advantage of the cyber Monday specials. So he put together a tire and rim package. He gave us all the information we needed to make the order at home to get the cyber specials. He also told us to call him if we needed help making the order. The total experience was great. Hilario and all the rest of the associates that we contacted were extremely professional. Also, about seven months prior, I took the same vehicle in for a tire repair. After the repair, they surprised me by telling me the repair was free. That was one of the reasons I returned to purchase the tires and rims. What companies do anything for free anymore. Purchased 4 top of the line Michelin tires. Also 4 new tire pressure sensors. Continuously slowly lost pressure in all 4 tires. Couldn't find a problem. This has been going on about 4 months. 3 weeks ago the manager, Jacob, pulled all 4 tires and wheels off, tested them in the dip tank. There were no bubbles on any valve stem or coming from around the wheel/tire. No idea where the air is leaking from. Just checked the pressure today, only lost 1lb pressure on driver side and 2lbs on passenger side. The problem maybe has fixed itself. Jacob wants to keep updated on this issue. The employees are competent and fast in their jobs. Jacob is outstanding as a manager and has been doing his best to find the problem. Do yourself a favor and give them your business. read more
