Went in to get my tire repaired. It had nail and a screw in it. The screw was almost into the sidewall so, they said it couldn't be repaired. Not a problem. I know enough about tire repair and they were right. I said go ahead and replace it. They gave me a quote but, they didn't have a tire in stock so they had to order it. O.K. it's a spare so I said, go ahead and order it. They said it would be in the next day and they would call me to come get it. Well the next day came and went with no call. Two days went by so I called them and they said it would be done in about 45 minutes and they would call me. Again no call. Went in to see what happened and was told they called me. Apparently it went to voicemail and I never heard a notification. That's on my service provider. I picked up my tire and decided never to do business there again. Customer Service is much to be desired , specifically with "Selena". I dropped off my vehicle at 730 AM for new brake pads and oil. I had to call at 230 to get an update. Then I recieved a text at 440 saying car was done . Giving me only 20 minutes to get there. I had to stop what I was doing to try and get there as soon as I could as I know they were closing at at 5. Selena said it's ok "I'll wait for you" I pull up at 510 where she greets me with "great now I'm going to be late for my second job" Really? I think I've said enough and anyone reading this can see how this is pretty crummy behavior for a business. Visited this location earlier today before coming back to California. They serviced our car; and upon entering our car we noticed one of the employees stole our ROSARY. Rosary was hanging on the rear view mirror, and wasn't there after service. Went back inside to see if they can help locate it, but they all just denied not having it at all. My partner and I never move our rosary.. so not having it in the car and them blatantly lying to us was very disappointing. They got the job done, but be aware of your belongings. They will steal from you and deny it. I hope whoever stole the rosary gets exactly what they need from it. Disrespectful. read more

Went in for an alignment and tire balancing. Got charged $265 for tire balancing, two new lug nuts, and lug stud. They charge $180/hr for labor. They couldn't do the alignment because of other work needed to be done on the front end. Staff was unprofessional and didn't explain exactly why they didn't do the alignment. Absolute rip off. PART 1 of 4 (see attached pics for parts 2-4 of 4) *I would absolutely be giving this review a single star (or no stars if possible) except I think this review should be seen by anyone wanting to utilize PV Big O and don't want the single star rating to get filtered out so most people can't see it unless they tap on different areas revealing the info in the 1 star review). What a nightmare from beginning to end with Big O Prescott Valley AZ: End of Feb/beginning of March 2023: bought 2 new tires. Store applied new tires. Immediately after: the car was shimmying/shaking starting at 55mph. Took car back the same day and reported the problem. I was told "we aren't charging you for replacing all of the lug nuts we changed the 2 new tires = $99). After they fixed it, I drove away to finish getting ready to leave for a roadtrip the next day... EXCEPT, the car was still shaking but now starting at 40mph. When I called to report the 2nd round of shimmy/shake and make an appt for early in the morning (which greatly pushed back my road trip departure time), I asked what was found on the alignment check. BTW The "FREE alignment check" was supposed to be completed the first time I brought in my vehicle to get the 2 new tires AS STATED on the appointment confirmation and order page when I completed the request for appt online. I foolishly assumed this was done b/c I was told "oh yeah, I know that's on there but we don't do the check unless you specifically ask for it." was told they were too busy to complete an alignment and I'd need to make another appointment outside of the one already made for the next morning. Went in the next day for my scheduled and reported what was happening. Against my better judgement, I bought 4 new tires because I just wanted to stay safe on my road trip and requested an alignment. The manager explained she could give me a "deal" if I bought 4 tires and one of them would be "free" and promised the alignment check would be completed and results would be provided so I could make a decision if I wanted to make the recommended adjustments. All services were completed with 4 new tires and alignment corrected. Finally, I was on the road a couple of hours later sans shimmy or shake. I kept receiving texts from "Kevin" to "please leave a review". Mind you, Kevin was the guy who kept downplaying my (a woman) concerns during all phone calls and in-person interactions until the next day when I was able to talk to the female manager... boy, how Kevin's tone and attitude seemed to miraculously change overnight. Anyway, here we are 3 months later with 2 tires on the complete opposite side of the car (driver rear and front passenger) developed sidewall bubbles with the rear tire now presenting with a hole at the base of the sidewall tire bubble. Hesitant to go down there directly b/c I didn't want to get stuck buying new tires from a company which I've had nothing but problems with, I decided to call and explain the issue to see if my 3 month old "bad" tires were under warranty or could otherwise be replaced. I spoke to the female manager who explained they could repair the tire if there's a hole in the tread... ma'am this just explained where the location of the hole is located. She then explained "and it looks like you didn't get the road hazard protection" because "sidewall bubbles are considered a cosmetic issue" and my "only option is to purchase 2 more tires" if I "don't feel safe driving with the bubbles". I said, "Ma'am, there was no hazard protection offered to me. Just like I told you, I was heading out for a long road trip immediately following so if one was in fact offered to me I most certainly would have added that onto the purchase." So, now I'm at Discount Tire in Prescott. After doing a walk around of the car with the attendant who found a second bubble in the still inflated front passenger tire, he explained I would also need a whole new set of lug nuts. I mentioned Big O's "charity" move announcing to the whole store they "put a whole new set of lug nuts on all 4 tires but wouldn't be charging me the $99 it usually costs". The DT attendant "Thomas" looked closer and said, "Oh wait there are 2 new lug nuts on 2 of the wheels, sorry about that." I confirmed he meant 2 new lug nuts total or completely new lug nuts on 2 of the wheels. He confirmed only 2 lug nuts total and showed me exactly what he was seeing. So we walk back into DT and Thomas told me I only needed 2 tires but could put on 4 if that's what I was interested-in and showed me comparisons between the tires I have currently (including price and the ratings of each tested element of each) and the ones he had available. Thomas also confirmed there wasn't any additional roadside service up sale I needed to add to ensure my tires would be replaced in the event they were unfixable. read more

Started fine went in for a radiator flush got car back overheated in parking lot which is funny cause it drove just fine there across town I went in stated my car was in worse condition was told my radiator needed a cap got the cap now I'm told my radiator is bad I said no I'm not paying for that and wanted my money back since one then didn't fix anything and made my jeep worse then the manager was very unprofessional rude got loud but I got my money back and left while I was leaving she said I was very unwelcome I had to be towed home to come an find out the mechanic didn't put the amount needed to run my jeep I was 3 gallons low like the the hell check your work read more

Took my car there for a tire inspection, I had a slow leak in 1 tire. They discovered all my tires needed replaced because my alignment was way off, exposed metal on inside aspect of all tires (they showed me). 4 tires and an alignment later, running great. Very Satisfied with the work and the customer service. My only issue was when using my credit card I was charged a 3% surcharge which I wasn't expecting. ($27). If they'd warned me about that before I paid, they would have received a 5-star review. I will absolutely continue doing business with Big O. read more

When I picked up my car the first time. I sat in the drivers seat only to discover that my left side column, my sun visor, and glove box, and my door handle had been covered in grease and dirt. When I showed the sales person James.. he said and I quote "not again" he then grabbed some cleaning supplies and cleaned those areas... moral of the story is, this is common. I went to get an alignment on my truck and they told me that the wheel bearings were bad, I told them that wasn't the case because I just had them done prior to taking it there, I asked they to investigate the issue and tell me what needs to be done, they told me the wheel bearings again as well as the rotor. I couldn't afford it so I took it home to investigate it and they ruined my entire front axle, they put the bearings in backwards and I spent upwards of 3 days trying to fix it with no success because the part is not available anymore. Corporate denied doing this even though I had photos documenting what they had done. They refused to help fix the problem they caused and only offered to refund the money I paid them to break my truck. I will NEVER do business with them again. read more

I needed all four of my tires replaced but have been avoiding it because of the price. I was forced to get it done this week because one of my tires started leaking so I was definitely stressed out. I'm sad I didn't get his name but the man that helped me was so kind! He of course offered more expensive tires first but I think he could see how stressed out I was about the cost because he didn't pressure me into getting them. He even told me that if the cheapest ones were all I could afford then that's totally fine because they aren't bad tires. I'm a young woman so I usually get pressured or tricked into spending a fortune at car places but this was such a nice experience and I felt so relieved once it was done. Terrible experience! After having breaks done mechanic did not tighten lug nuts when tires got put back on. I almost lost control of my vehicle because rear driver side tire almost fell of while driving due to the bolts snapping. Been dealing with Big O because this destroyed the rim. Weeks later after they told me they ordered a replacement rim to match my others we call to check in because we never heard back after they said 7-10 days. And now they can't find a matching one. Now my vehicle has a spare rim and they aren't going to do anything to right the situation. Not only did this put my families safety at risk which makes me sick but the way they are handling their wrong is even more disgusting. read more

I feel that Big O was not prepared to work on my car. The amount of time I spent back and forth, 3 times, resulted in unnecessary time for both parties. The two parts replaced were potentially not needed and the freon that disappeared into the abyss, was costly. The initial diagnostic was a leak. Several hundred dollars later, I took the vehicle to the dealer and they found the problem, meaning there was not a leak and the problem was fixed with a different part. During the inspection of Big O's work I was told that one of the parts put in by Big O appeared to not be new. Unfortunately I have no way of knowing. I drove the car for a week before contacting Big O to confirm there was never a leak, in hopes of a credit on the mystery freon that was put in my vehicle. After taking my vehicle to the dealership, it's working perfectly, still no leak. With that said, the team and manager were friendly, not great with updates and the free water was a nice touch on a hot day. I wont return and I am sure they are just as grateful. Unfortunate lesson learned. read more

They take advantage of seniors. Father went in for a starter replacement and quoted $300-$400. They couldn't get the car started so they dismantled the dash. We found out that the key was the problem. When he went to pick it up they charged him over $750. When he went to drive it home service lights came on on the dash. They told him they needed to hook it up to the computer to see which wires weren't properly connected and that that would cost him $1500 plus labor to do. read more

Well I went into big o tires in person to ask if they can take care of my tire with a nail in it. Had to make an appt 2 days later. Took truck in they stated there is a yr on tires and they can't patch tire due to age. First off, when I went there in person with the truck why didn't they look at tires and tell me then. Told me I needed 4 new tires, wheel alignment nitrogen in tires, bearings repack 800+. I said no I'll pick up my truck. Took my truck to Kirby Automotive and they patched the tire. They said if the thread is fine - they will patch tire. $15.00 later picked up my truck. Well I was told if the were over 6 yrs old you wont work on them and now you are saying over 10 yrs old you won't work on them. So which is it? I dropped in in the morning to check the tire balance on the front of the vehicle. I was told the wait would be an hour to an hour and a half and it was exactly that. Another great experience. We recently purchased a used travel trailer. I'm not the guy who likes surprises on vacation so seeing the tires were manufactured almost 6 years ago we decided to replace them. While we were at it, not knowing the condition or amount of wear on the bearings we asked to have them replaced also. When mark called to say the trailer was done he added that the bearings looked great and didn't need to be replaced. Honest and efficient!! I took my Honda here for a second opinion after being quoted over $1000 to fix a front end "clunk". The Honda dealership wanted to do three things and charged me $60 to diagnose it. Big O had the clunk noise diagnosed and fixed in 90 minutes. (Sway bar links $253) The next day I noticed a shimmy in the steering wheel. They took ownership of it and balanced the tires for free. No shimmy. Thumbs up to all! read more
