Was only there like 10 mins, they got the locking nut off and replaced with a nut I had... PS, if you need to see them to get your locking nuts off, they only charge like $10 a tire.. hell cheaper than other places that quoted me ..starting at $25 to $180 a tire. Well, sometimes you have to get these expensive things called tires lol. I came here because they had the best price on tires that I wanted for my car. I placed my order online and scheduled it online too because they offer what they call "pit crew service" if you do it that way which includes being in and out in 30 or less minutes. Unfortunately, it took over an hour and that was bothersome because I had a scheduled time. Basically, if you offer a scheduled appointment time, I think it should be honored. I also have custom painted rims and those were damaged pretty bad from the tire change. The manager assured me he would make it right but I have yet to hear back. Additionally, the weights used to balance the tires weren't put on possibly incorrectly because I found them falling off inside my garage and had to spend more of my time going back to get that fixed too. Basically, just wasn't there for me service wise in this experience. Update: (few days later) When I did go back, Jon did do everything he could to make it right including accommodating some cost to repair the rims. This was much appreciated and I do feel like things where made right at the end of it all. Unfortunately, time is and always will be money and because it took 3 times to get everything squared up right I just can't change the star rating for this particular experience... but because Jon did an excellent job to make it right, they haven't lost me as a customer either and improvement is always good for business! read more

I went in to get my all weather tires put back on after having my snow tires on for the winter. I checked in and payed and they said it would take about an hour. I sat down and waited for about 45 mins. I was fine with the wait, it was pretty busy. There was a guy who came in about a half hour after me and they told him the same thing. They ended up pulling his car in about 15 mins after he arrived and before mine. I waited another 15 mins and they still never pulled mine in. I went in yesterday to get a low tire repaired and my tire pressure monitoring system replaced. I ended up needing some extra services taken care of but I left the shop feeling confident. I didn't have any issues last night but when I started the car this morning, my low tire (which I thought was taken care of) was low again. Went to have my tires filled with air and the technician stole my valve extension off my vehicle tires which was there because one of the valves leaks air. He replaced it with a regular tire cap without my knowledge. I found out when I came out of my house to a flat tire. He never said anything to me that he was taking that valve extension off my tire or asked if I wanted that replaced. When I called back to pick up my valve extension naturally nobody knew anything about it and they refused to replace it. I get it its under$10 but I don't care if its$10 or$100, theft is theft. read more

Came here after calling on a Tuesday at 4:30pm and Jordan and his associates informed me that my tires were here. It was now when I arrived and I was confused how the tires were already delivery being that they told on Tuesday that it would be a few days. Prior to driving I inquired again if they were sure that my tires were there as it had not even been 24 hrs that we had placed them. I left work early to come and get the tires installed . When I arrived, they greeted me and began working on my vehicle. About 10-15 minutes, they told me that the tires weren't there and they only had 2. I spoke to approx 2-3 associates including Jordan, and they seemed non chalant about the situation and seemed as if I was part of the problem: never doing business again. Brought my vehicle here to get new tires before selling. They replaced the tires, but also damaged the body by not using the appropriate jack points (a few inches away). Now I can't sell the vehicle because of ongoing repairs, and have to turn away prospective buyers. Repair was supposed to take a couple days but after almost a week waiting for their claims adjuster to reply to the shop or me, now repair will take 2 weeks or more. I will say the shop took responsibility after I returned with the vehicle and pointed out damage. I still don't understand how a tire shop would be so careless for the one service they provide, but we all make mistakes and have bad days. went in for a free tire pressure check so they could fill one of my tires that was low. they told me they just wanted to check it and make sure it was it was fine. i'm a college student and my dads a mechanic and checked all my tires during his visit 3 weeks ago and said they are great and safe to drive on. the employee told me my tires were not safe to drive on the road and he couldn't even work on them because they were "too old" and i would need to purchase 4 brand new tires from them if you're a woman especially, i would go to a small local tire or auto repair shop where they have your best interest at heart instead of trying to manipulate you into spending money like the big chains try to do read more

I brought in 4 tires to have them mounted and my vehicle aligned. They inspected the tires before pulling my vehicle into the shop. I notified them one of the tires had a patch and me and the rep looked at it together. After about 15 minutes they came out and told me the patch had a hole. It did not have a hole when my and the rep inspected them before I paid for the service. Not sure how this happened. They then said they couldn't fix the simple hole I had in the center of the tread and tried to sell me a new tire. No thank you. They did refund me for the one tire mount and balance. After 2 hours(they said it would take one hour max) I get the car and drive away. Now my stability control light on my dash is on. I take it back and they said it must have been a bad sensor I had before bringing it in and now that they did the alignment the light is just now turning on. They didn't say anything to me before I left the shop. I'm not sure what they did to make the stability light come on but they refused to offer to help fix it. I've always liked discount tire. They're really great, but this place is great, particularly the customer service. If you need help talk to Joe... He will help you and be super nice and not try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need. He saved us a ton of money just by knowing a lot about tires and what tires they have in stock in allllll of Utah. Will bring our business back here. The reason it's not 5 stars is because most of the other employees who work up front aren't the best and they're usually running behind if you make an appointment. read more

After getting new tires and having plans to travel the following day, I had a flat tire. When i called to resolve the issue, I was given attitude like it was my own fault. They told me the tire pressure light would go off so I didn't think anything of it until I got out and checked my tire to see it flat. I have been coming to discount tires for years and they have always been willing to work with me on replacing old tires that I had purchased there. This does not seem to be the case at Provo discount tire. Sales person looked at my tires and said it was a mechanical issue and that they would not be eligible for mileage refund. I took to Ogden location and they honored mileage refund without an issue. This is the 2nd time I have gone to this location and have been told they can't help me. I will not be going here again even if it means traveling further North. I may even take a closer look at a competitor like BIG O or Les Schwab based on the service that was provided here. read more

I have always recommended them in the past, but will never again. I needed new tires, so they helped me find some and said that they would order the tires from another store and the next day, the tires would be at the store. The next day I go in and hey tell me they couldn't get the "Discoverer ATP tires," but the had a "better tire they would give me for the same price.". Turns out, after the fact, I found out they gave me a worse tire for the same price. They gave me the "Hancock" tire that was $15 cheaper per tire. So they ripped me off by$60. Well placed discount tire. Then my air pressure light came on the next day. I took it in and they said it was fixed. Two days later, it happened again. I then took it in for the second time with the same issue. They them took the tire off the wheel and "discovered" the valve stem hole has a cut in it. They then accused me off cutting the hole in it. If I were skilled enough to do that, why the hell would I pay them to change the tires for me? Worst experience of my life. read more

Double-great experience with this store. In town from California in early April with a tight window to replace two tires, the guys got right on it and had me out inside of 30 minutes. Very fair pricing. My wife is back in town and ran over a rock in the road, flattening the tire. The guys straightened a dent in the wheel, remounted the time, and sent her on her way with no charge. First time at Discount tires. I came to fix my back tire that had a nail. They fix flat for free. I booked my appointment at 3. When I first arrived the front desk was pretty busy. So busy people were walking out because they didn't want to wait any longer. I waited roughly for 10 minutes. I will say, when one of the guys were done with another customer he kinda acted liked I wasn't there! So instead going to him I just turned to the other guy who was friendly! I think his name is Ryan. I gave him my information about the car I drive. We then made our way outside. We he saw my back tire he told me I they can't repair the tire because the thread is beyond repair and that I would need a new set of tires. I told him I would want the cheapest tires. He told me that it wasn't a good idea because my tires on my current tires were rated better! He then explained to me the differences between the cost of tires and what I would be getting. For example he told me if I got cheap tires, the noise, smoothness and handling would change dramatically! I didn't know anything about tires and trusted him. I got two tires that was $111 and total came out too $278.75 including taxes! I would totally recommend this place to my family. read more
