I used to love this location, and loved bringing my car here because I trusted the workers, but the last couple of visits they've been EXTREMELY rough with my car. They don't care about causing any damage to your car and they especially won't inform you when they cause the damage. Took my car in to get a pre-roadtrip check about a month ago, and one of the mechanics snapped my hood cable so my hood is now unable to get open and it will cost between $200-$400 for me to get repaired. Of course, no one informed me that this occurred, so I had no clue my hood was broken until I tried to pop my hood open myself a few days later. My hood was functioning properly before I took it in, yet they declined that they caused damage and refuse to repair it so that's great for me! Went back to get my tires replaced a couple weeks later (don't know why I went back... that was my first mistake), and suddenly the trim on my car around my back tire is starting to come off. It's an easy fix, but it's just upsetting to see the damage they cause and don't inform me of, or even try to fix. Very disappointed. I never write bad reviews, but hopefully this will be helpful to others. You can tell they rush the job, aren't gentle with your car, and clearly couldn't care less about their customers. I would literally steer clear of this Provo location. read more

I use to work at LS up in Washington state so some may think this has alittle bias to it but I am not sure why anyone goes anywhere else than Les Schwab for their tire needs. Had a flat in the middle of no where was able to get a service call quickly and get me back on the road in a reasonable time considering the holiday and all. Many years ago, a Les Schwab affiliate in Salmon, Idaho took care of my wife when she needed a tire repaired. We were new in town, there for work, and I was out of town for work for a couple of days. Long story short, the crew there took fantastic care of her, and I swore that I would forever be a customer because of that. The years roll on. We moved several times, and every time, without fail, Les Schwab tires gave nothing less than stellar service. Today (2/10/21) I managed to briefly jump the curb, resulting in both driver's side tires to be blown out. Not only did my local Les Schwab tires center (Provo Utah, University avenue) help... They came TO ME. Technician Leo pulled the offending wheels from my vehicle and took them to the shop, where the tires were replaced and returned to my vehicle. I didn't have to hire a wrecker to take me to the facility at God knows what cost. Provo Les Schwab... You've done it yet again. May the business acumen and customer service attitude of your company live on! read more

My girlfriend and I were on a road trip and my lift kit installed by Les Schwab previously broke on us in Reno then the other side broke in Provo. We were extremely frustrated. Luckily there was a Les Schwab down the road and they were so helpful. Jonathan the mechanic helped us out and was just awesome. This was a pretty good experience. The staff was helpful, one guy in particular, and the work was good. My estimate for an alignment was 2 hours and they finished and I drove off in under 50 minutes; not bad for an alignment. Cool stuff: really nice waiting area with lots of chairs, vending machines and even popcorn. Good prices for services; tires may be the same way...not sure. Inside tips: 1. Go early. Tried to go around 3pm on a Saturday and they were booked the rest of the night. Next week I went in at 9am with no problem. 2. Staples has free wifi and you can tap into it from here (the signal might be weak though). Bring a laptop and get some work/play done while you wait. 3. Warning: the strong tire smell started getting to me about the time I left (50 mins). Anyone sensitive to smells will probably want to do some other shopping in the area while they wait for their car to get done. read more

Then they say they would refund us for any damage they caused, but when I called them, they just said they would call me back and they never did. Unreliable service. Unsatisfactory customer service. This is a review with some past interactions and some current ones. Current: Called to try and see if they can pull an ABS Code. For someone that does brakes, I'm surprised that they are not equipped to pull ABS Codes. Big-O Tires does though. I went to Les Schwab a few years back when I needed a new brake line. I had no idea what was going on with my car other than I knew i was loosing brake fluid. I went to them because they had a free brake check and they had me on my way in no time after they got the line made. Thanks guys! read more

The only reason I am giving two stars is because my grandpa won't tell me to go anywhere but here. He has seen something I have not then. I bent my rim a few months back and I came here to get the rim fixed. They told me they could not fix it but had to replace it. Fair enough. I paid to get the rim replaced, all was well and they gave me my car back without any other comments. Well, fast forward to now. I had to buy new tires and simply put I found a better deal at Costco. I went to Costco to get my tires and they put them on but when I picked up my car they could not put the hubcap back on. I asked why and they said that it would cover the air valve if it was put on. I had the hubcap on from the time that I go the new rim from Les Schwab. Basically, Les Schwab put the hubcap on and covered my air valve without mentioning this to me at all. Now, whenever I need to put air in my tires I will just need to take the lugnuts out, remove the hubcap, and practically take the whole tire off. Just to put air in. I think I would have been a lot easier to handle if they had just mentioned that 6 months ago when they put the new rim on. Or maybe they didn't want to tell me because they knew I would say put a different rim on? I dont know. Whatever it is, this place has just "Schwab'ed" me wrong. read more

I wouldn't recommend Les Schwab to anybody. They have a tire "warranty", but it's terrible. In my situation I purchased tires guaranteed for 50000 miles a year and a half ago ($800!). Two days ago one burst. I had them look at it and there was some irregular wear on the tire (alignment is off, so it wore on the inside edge) so they wouldn't give any warranty or discount towards new tires. The thing is, all 4 tires are bald and I've only driven 25000 miles, half of what they're guaranteed for. Even without the irregular wear on that one tire, the rest of them need to be replaced asap. Also, they're expensive, would not recommend. In regards to the reply from Chris (from Les Schwab) to my review. I talked with him over email and reiterated my experience, he told me that he would see what he could do for me, but never got back to me! My 1 star experience is even more solidified. read more

Les Schwab provided excellent service and value on my recent brake repair. I began noticing problems with my brakes recently and decided to take my car in to Les Schwab because I heard about the free brake inspections. In less than an hour they had the quote ready and a description of what needed to be done. I was impressed by how professional the staff was. I have experienced other mechanics in Provo who are very aggressive and belittling when you want to take time to think about repairs, whether to do more research or shop around for other quotes. Les Schwab was the opposite; no pressure whatsoever. They were very understanding and polite in letting me find out more and shop around before scheduling a repair. After the inspection I was told I would need a replacement of both front brake pads and rotors in my 1997 Honda Accord. They quoted me a price of $350. Other shops in the area quoted the same service from $420 - $480. After some additional research online I confirmed that this was a fair price and scheduled the appointment. What really impressed me the most was what prompted me to write this review. While performing the repair the mechanics discovered that the rotors were in better condition than previously thought and would not need to be replaced. Though they could have easily replaced the rotors anyway and not said anything (as I had already agreed on the quote), they instead resurfaced the existing rotors and saved me $120. The final cost of the repair was $230 and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Les Schwab for being both professional and honest. Rest assured that I will continue to bring my vehicles here when I need something done and that I will recommend the same to friends read more

A worker (Jesus) came and met me and got the tire off for free and put the spare on--no questions asked. I went to their store and they fixed the problem in less than 20 minutes. The Les Schwab center at Provo was simply fantastic! My family was driving over the Soldier summit pass on hwy 6 with several inches of snow on the ground when we were forced off the road into the ditch to avoid an oncoming SUV/pickup that was sliding sideways towards us from the other direction. Very scary! Fortunately my wife deftly avoided the accident, but when we drove out of the ditch and back onto the highway (after catching our breath!) our car was vibrating rapidly as if our wheels were suddenly out of balance (the tires were not flat; and the car did not have a TPMS low pressure signal). We called the Les Schwab center in Provo and they were very kind to squeeze us in at the end of a Saturday. We arrived at Les Schwab one hour before they close. Once they pulled the car in, the mechanic realized that the wheels were caked with mud, and that was the cause of the out-of-balance wheels. So, he cleaned them, re-balanced, and we were on our way in less than 1 hour. Remarkably, they did the cleaning and rebalancing for no charge! I tried to leave a tip but they said "it's one of the services we provide -- just give us your business for tires in the future!" Thank you again Les Schwab in Provo!! read more

I had a flat tire. I wanted to replace two tires because the two rear tires were very worn out. I wanted them to put the two new tires on the front since this is a FWD car and move both of the half worn front tires to the back. I was very clear and they assured me it would be done. After the work I paid and left in my car. A few hour later I found my car again had a flat tire. That's when I discovered they had not moved one of the front tires to the back. But had disposed of it ( with still a lot of tread) and left a rear bald tire on the car. When I went back they refused to find the one they had tossed and refused to replace the bald one. instead they tried to sell me a brand new one. they claimed the front tire they tossed out was bad. I know it was good. It was a recent purchase. This is the second time in 20 years I have had to deal with them last time I was equally disappointed. read more

Zero stars to Les Schwab. I took our car in for them to replace some stripped lugs, and somehow they bent our front driver's side brake pad. When I talked to them about the awful sound the car was making after they fixed it, they said it was a bent brake pad and that it was bent before I brought it in. It didn't make any noise before I brought it in. Instead of taking care of the problem they caused they tried to get me to pay them to fix the brakes. When we went in to change the brake ourselves we found out they hadn't even replaced all of the stripped lugs. read more

These guys are honest and do great work. For instance, today I took my car in to have them check the brakes. (Brent Brown Toyota had told me they needed replacing.) When the guys at Les Schwab checked, they told me that the brakes were fine ("not even close" to needing replacements). They didn't charge me a cent, not even for the time. Great customer service. Another time I was worried that my tires might need rotating or replacing. On that particular occasion, one of the guys walked out to my car with me and looked at all four tires and told me they looked fine, and that I should bring it back in a year. Again, no charge. When I brought it back, they replaced the tires at a good price. I highly recommend Les Schwab Tires. read more

These guys are some real TIRE EXPERTS! Thank god we stopped here. We our traveling in our rv when some helpful driver tipped us off on our back wheel wobbling. We stopped here for an inspection, and they instantly found that the last tire shop put the rims on wrong and ruined the rim. They properly installed the spare and didnt even charge me a cent. They told me they didn't have my tire size and there is nothing they can do for me. THEY BROUGHT MY TIRE BACK TO ME ON THE FREEWAY AND CHARGED ME $110 AND LEFT ME STRANDED. I told them to just put a Tire on to get me in and i would buy 5 new tires. 33x12.50R15 2500 worth of tires. they said they couldn't do it. So i called Big 0 and they came and helped me. I wouldn't take my car here....asked to check my brakes they came back with I need not only brakes but also to change the calipers....took it to the dealer (was a 2011) and they showed me there was nothing wrong with the calipers and it's very rare to need to change that on a practically new vehicle! Really great place to change tires, kind people, so quick cheap prices (of tires) cause at the end you will pay the same that other places because of the rotation and installation fees. Nice staff but twice when they have rotated my tires they have cross threaded a lug nut and had to replace the stud the next time I came in. After some discussion with the manager they fixed it for free. This was fine until I was 1500 miles away and needed my tires rotated only to find that they had cross threaded a lug nut again. The manager offered to reimburse me for the cost which I appreciate but because of all the trouble I can't recommend them. Nice place but they won't be getting my business next time I buy tires. read more

I had a very bad experience with les schwab today. When they put on tires about a year ago they totally stripped the studs on one wheel. A few days ago I went to Costco to get a new set of tires and they said they'd never seen anything like it. I had to have to have the car trucked to a mechanic to have it fixed. The management at les schwab refused to take responsibility. It was very frustrating and there's no way to appeal to to any higher authority. They damaged my car and I had to pay to fix it. They've lost a customer. read more
