Im a longtime customer of this location of Discount Tire. I have 5 cars so I buy alot of tires. I got 2 nails in a tire from a construction site near my home. These guys refused to patch my tire saying it's too close to the sidewall. The holes were in the tread and not the sidewall. I've been driving 45 years and wrenching on cars for most of that time. This tire was totally repairable. They refused and attempted to talk down to me like i knew nothing about mechanics. They wanted to sell me 4 new tires when these tires that i bought from them last year still had 70 percent tread left. These guys are money grubbing shysters. I will never buy another tire from these guys and I will go out of my way to buy tires for my 5 cars from someone else. read more

They didn't replace the correct tire. I told them to replace the right side front and back with 2 new tires. They didn't and 1 day later my front right tire is flat. I'm a female but I have an IQ and common sense. My 2 right tires were bald and needed air every day, hence the request to replace them. Please listen to your customers. My wife's car picked up a nasty bolt in the tread. I took it to Discount Tire on Millbrook road and the puncture appeared within guidelines for a plug and patch which they did promptly and for free. I would not recommend using discount tire off Millbrook in Raleigh. Shop technician put my wheel on the tire mounting machine upside down, with the outside of the rim facing down into the machine. Once they clamp the machine down onto the rim, it marked four areas on the edge of the rim, then marked eight in intentions into the rim. Manager stated they no longer make my rims and he could have it. This mistake should've never happened, I don't understand how someone who works as a technician in a tire shop didn't understand that that would happen. Now I'll need to take time off work to take my vehicle back to discount tire so a wheel repair man can repair my wheel. I'm very disappointed in the level of knowledge and experience of the technicians That worked on my truck. read more

Update after more than 7 years going here. This is still by far the best tire shop I've ever been to. I now go there for all my tire needs - which vary dramatically from off road to sports to daily drivers across many vehicles. Tire prices are competitive, fitting and balancing priced fairly, and what really stands out is they clearly care and pay attention to the details. They use a torque wrench on final part of install when most places don't. They're also very careful with your wheels - I just had them fit new tires to wheels I refurbed and sprayed myself, and they took extra care to ensure they didn't get scratched and let me know which of the 5 was the most difficult to balance which made it easy to identify which one would be my spare. They communicate at every step so you know what's going on, which makes the wait time fly by. And they work mostly through appointments which means there's almost no wait and you're in and out in no time. I LOVE this place - and people I know also have the same feedback - it's the best place around here for sure, and actually the best experience I've had having lived in 9 different cities across two different continents. All they do is tires. No brakes, no alignments. TIRES. But man do they do tires well. Great brands, easy scheduling, good prices, excellent service, convenient locations. I thought my son's car (2017 VW Tiguan) needed brakes, alignment and tires. Turns out the brakes were fine, alignment was fine - the tires were still the originals and had dry rotted causing a balance issue. New tires = No problems. needed to send this review as I've been a long-standing customer of discount tire. I was there on Friday 8/29 before the holiday weekend. I had called on Wednesday to get a tire for my daughter's car and Ronald said they did have it in stock and they would hold it for me. Unfortunately, I was not able to get there till Friday at 3 o'clock when I did arrive it was going to be at least a three hour wait. What I observed in the three hours in my wait was that there was three gentlemen in red shirts, Anthony, Jake and Ronald. At times, the line was at least eight people deep, trying to accommodate everybody. Ronald was Assuring everyone that they would be taken care. Once the lines were down Ronald was In the bay, helping to slang tires, change tires doing whatever he could to accommodate the time crunch that they were under. The other two gentlemen Jake and Anthony basically did nothing. Anthony staying behind the counter. Jake put on a pair of gloves and was walking around the bay, acting as if he was helping, but he wasn't. After three hours, my tire was changed and Ronald apologize for the wait and could not have been any more professional. Today, Wednesday, September 3 I had an appointment for my car to have a tire rotation and Balance and again Ronald saw me in line and made it a point to assist me. After reviewing my tires, he said I needed two new front tires. I explained to him that I was at another discount tire store a year ago and they told me that I need a front alignment which I did but the two front tires needed to be changed I was not aware of until today. Ronald being the professional that he is was able to rectify the problem to my satisfaction and got me in to have the two new tires on a discount due to poor communication from the other store. Ronald should be recognized for his efforts and instead of being an assistant manager, he should be the manager/general manager of that store. I continue to LOVE this Discount Tire location! Everyone is so friendly and the service is always completed safely in a reasonable amount of time. Josh checked me in today and he was awesome he was kind and personable. He showed me that I really needed two new tires and that two of my tires could wait until my next tire rotation. I opted to replace all four tires because I always prefer to get all four replaced at once. Josh gave me a credit for the life that was remaining in my two tires that didn't absolutely need to be replaced today. What a win! read more

This place offers excellent customer service and quality tires. Unfortunately before heading out on a road trip before Thanksgiving I discovered a nail in my tire. I stopped in for a patch service and ended up purchasing two new back tires under warranty. Anthony greeted me and was able to get me registered for service right away. There was quite a long wait due to the thanksgiving holiday but everyone was taken care of. This shop is very organized. Many people came in with tire issues and Anthony provided exceptional service. My economy tires were very affordable and I've had zero issues since leaving the shop. My car is riding smoothly and I'm very satisfied. The warranty is great protection for under $30 that in the event of a blow out or etc they replace the tire at no cost to you. How's that for peace of mind ? Definitely not going to this store again. I'm not really from this area I just work around and I just needed some work and I decided to go. I needed TPMS sensors that's it, the guy quote me $315 for just sensor REALLY? I didn't flip out and I asked the guy if he could checked my history with them since I had purchased tires and TPMS sensors for another vehicle of mine a year ago. He checks and said I paid $415 that time and I asked him "do you know where am I going with this?" He said you can go wherever you want to.. let's just say I kept it professional even though I wanted to rip his head off. I asked for the manager and he said he was the stores manager. Needles to say this snobby kid didn't have any manager skills nor customer service skills, I told him that if I wasn't in a hurry I would have walked out but since I needed the work to be done and I couldn't wait I argued with this guy for a bit till he finally brought the price down to $250 which still absolutely ridiculous but I had to.. I wouldn't recommend this place just because this manager is absolutely power tripping and flat out unprofessional his name is NOAH by the way.. I normally go to this store for all my tire issues. But this season my tire sensor kept going off. I would go have them check my tire pressure in all my tires, and they would check for any leaks. This last time I went, they added air in my tires and said they were fine as far as no leaks. I knew I needed new tires because of the tread getting low. When I went to get new tires at another place, they told me one of my tires had 60 psi. Discount Tires was the last time place to fill my tires. But they just took the screw out of my tire, patched it up, and sent me on my way. It was incredibly easy to book online. There is no catch to their free repair. I set an appointment with the toll free number while ordering my tires. I found the tires I wanted and they were discounted for that day! I was a little worried with the appointment time since it was close to their closing time. When I arrived they didn't even know I had an appointment I showed them my appointment confirmation email with the date and time, there were no questions asked. Fantastic work, customer service & experience! I called yesterday to see if I could make a Saturday appt for a balance and rotate but they were all booked however Anthony told me to feel free to still come in as they do take walk-ins also, just try to come earlier in the day. Showed up a little before 9am today and they had me out a little after 10am- for a booked Saturday, I found that very reasonable! The customer service was on point! Took my Dually in for 4 rears. Told them I requested a season tech because I had a bad experience at the Fayetteville Rd Store. Had to go back 3x for unbalanced tires, scratched rim, damaged tps sensor. This place couldn't balance either. I get home because air pressure was not even and wanted to correct. Touched the weight and it fell off! $1300 to come home and be aggravated! I do NOT recommend Discount Tire as they do not employ well educated technicians! read more

Time for an update! Still the same amazing Discount Tire!! My friends joke that I always sound like I work for Discount Tire whenever I talk about them because I love them that much!!! But I stand by the fact that they have always done right by me and are a fantastic company. Every single Discount Tire location I have ever been to has been excellent and this location remains awesome. I drive confidently knowing my tires are warrantied by their tire certificate program (literally the best!!). I had not had the pleasure of visiting this location in awhile as I've been working out of town (although have used 2 other Discount Tire locations heavily because that's the awesome part about Discount Tire- they're everywhere!!). This week I got a new vehicle and wanted to warranty the tires; I reached out to see if they had enough time to squeeze me in before close and they said I could head on over. Drove over, Anthony and Jeb both were great and helpful, got my new vehicle looked over and the warranty purchased extremely efficiently. This one time, a few months ago, I slid off a wet road and rammed into a muddy embankment, the side of my right front tire sawing into a tree. This left me with wood chips stuck in the edges of my rim. Took my car to these guys to deflate the tire, take out the chips, look for issues, inflate the tire and reinstall it. The waiting room is big and airy, with large windows, which is my thing these days. If you get bored, you can go back up front and watch the guys work through adjoining glass between the business area and the garage. There was also a coffee machine that made me think "Hey! Free coffee!" but there wasn't any made :( The wait was about an hour and that hurt my head and aggravated my self-diagnosed A.D.D. But when I was told that the service was a free one, I perked up, satisfied and grinning like the Joker. Good place. Obviously I'm not anybody to talk to about their pricing, but should I run into any other tire issues, this will be my first stop. read more

The bad reviews, in my personal opinion, don't really have any stance to be here. Discount tire and this particular location is the hands down best option for tires service! You can't look up any other tire shop and see these kinds of reviews and receive this kind of service everytime you walk in. The Technician destroyed the threading on the lug nut while he was putting my tire on. I was given a voucher to have it repaired at another business, but I'll have to make an appointment with them on my day off. Oddly enough, 2 other customers told me that the same thing happened during their tire changes, too....When I called some other tire companies to ask how this could happen, they told me that it was from "inexperienced technicians not paying attention & using the power tools incorrectly." Called ahead to the Six Forks Rd location to confirm they had a specific tire and was assured they in fact did have it there at that location. Based on that, I drove across town for it, but was notified when I got there they did not, in fact, have the tire model in the size I had specifically asked about. I took new tires and new wheels here for mounting and balancing 7/15/2023. The completed the work in about an hour. However the new wheels were covered in tire mounting solution. They required washing to clean them up. This could have been an intentional act because I didn't buy those tires and wheels from them. read more
