Later that evening, they called with a repair estimate of $2,156 to replace the radiator fan, thermostat, and tires, plus $309 just to refill the antifreeze. When I called to ask about alternatives, they only reduced the price by $20. That felt excessive, so I decided to get a second opinion. I ended up going to NC Complete Auto Care, where the radiator fan was replaced for $881. They didn't charge for refilling the antifreeze and said the thermostat wasn't an issue and did not need to be replaced. They also let me know I could safely wait on the tires for a couple more months. I appreciated the transparency and will be taking my business there from now on. I can't recommend Cary Car Care based on my experience.

Terrible service! I…read moreaccidentally made my appointment for Wednesday 10/30/24 instead of Wednesday 10/23/24 but brought my car in Tuesday afternoon 10/22/24 and got checked in. No call or text Wednesday 10/23/24 so I called at the end of the day and was told they hadn't started working on the car yet but I was in the queue for the work to be done in the morning. I called today Thursday 10/24/24 and they still hadn't touched the car! And that's when the mechanic told me the appt. was for the 30th. I realize it was my mistake on the scheduling but why didn't the check in lady tell me I had the day wrong? And why didn't someone notice yesterday when the car was sitting there all day? And why did they say the car was in queue to be worked on in the morning? I'm on my way out of town for a family emergency and this messed me up so badly. I've been calling all over to see if I could get a rush job on the work. Really terrible service and I will never go back here or recommend them. Update: I appreciate the businesses response but there was another aspect of this situation that bothered me. When I realize the date mistake I asked the guy who answered the phone if they could squeeze me in. He said: if someone who has an appointment doesn't show up or cancels we can get you in. But I can't make any guarantees. I kind of expected that he'd try to see if he could accommodate me but he just said sorry...can't do anything. And I would feel differently if he had at least shown some empathy.

Went back in to get it fixed, told them the car was driving fine before it, it has some side damage, so when the manager went and checked it he said it was due to that. A little odd that accountability couldn't be taken by the arrogant manager, who offered a 'free alignment check' for an issue they caused. Once that was done, the car is still unfixed, damage caused by DiscountTire, with management having dishonest practices and inability to take accountability. The car is now dangerous to drive as one nudge off center at speeds above 50 will skid back tires. Though they will try to milk out as much money from you as possible, so go here if you want that.

Bill, put the car in the lift and did his inspection after he checked the engine area. He brought my daughter to her car and showed her a couple areas of concern That will need to be addressed in the future but not critical at this point. My daughter was really impressed with Bill's professionalism and willingness to explain things to her. She is a grad student at NCSU and needs to develop a relationship with an honest and reputable service center. From what she told me, it looks like she's found it.
