Always a pleasant experience at Discount Tire. This is the only tire place I will go to when needed!

Disappointed by the speed of service at this location. The employees were great and communicated respectfully, but the wait time was ridiculous. I came in at 9:30am with a leak in my tire and was told there was a screw in it and it would be a 1-2 hour wait. Since I had stopped in before work and didn't have another ride, I had to stay and wait. After 2 hours, my car had only just been brought into the bay at 11:30ish to even be looked at, despite there being 3-4 open spots for at least 30 minutes beforehand. I understand that walk-ins may not be prioritized, but giving inaccurate wait times is disrespectful of customers' time and ability to plan their day. If you tell a customer 1-2 hours, the 2-hour mark should be the absolute upper limit, not the point where the vehicle is finally being touched for the first time. Their website's service tracker was also inaccurate. It showed my vehicle's service would be completed by 11:01 AM, while at the same time still saying service hadn't even started and that it would be another 5-15 minutes before my car was brought into the bay. That kind of inconsistency makes it difficult to trust the updates being provided. Also, the coffee bar was out of coffee pods, so the Keurig would just dispense hot water. read more

We took our car in for a 4 wheel alignment and they couldn't get the left front tire in spec. Why did we pay you for something you couldn't do?. They recommended we go to pay to go to another place to fix what they couldn't Also, they told us our tires were bald and that's simply not true they have plenty of tire tread depth. Would not recommend this store to anyone. The tires were measured at they have 5/32 to 6/32 of tread left on the tires. read more

I appreciate the Discount Tire brand and have been loyal to it in the past -- but this particular location is a complete disappointment. The store is mismanaged to the point where it's no longer a reliable option for customers. They actively prioritize walk-ins over scheduled appointments. Why? Because it's easier to just show up and get a quick, often subpar service -- not because they care about their customers, but because they're trying to fill the floor space with customers who show up on their own. This makes scheduling appointments meaningless -- you can't count on them to show up on time, and if they do, they're often already booked for a walk-in customer. I've scheduled multiple appointments, only to be told, "We're busy" or "We're just not set up for that yet." It's not a customer service issue -- it's a management issue. They don't have the infrastructure, staff, or commitment to keep appointments. If you're looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused experience, please go elsewhere. Discount Tire is a franchise with a solid reputation -- but this location is a liability. Don't let them fool you. Go to a different store. You'll thank yourself. read more

I had a nail in my tire. They fixed it for free. Later I noticed one lug nut was missing. I returned to let the service mangt. know. They not only replaced the missing one but replaced ( EVERY) Lug nut all around my wheels; brand new chrome ones !! read more

On a busy afternoon I pulled in this location because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. I was leaving up north the following day so I needed to get this tired repaired. Because I bought my tires about a year and a half ago, they were able to find the leak (ran over a nail) repair it and sent me on my way in about 30 minutes. No charge. I was in line and when I approached the counter for my turn, the man said, you can sit down now. I said, do you want my key? He said, we will call you back up. Okay...why wait in line? Since I had one tire replaced in the front, they said they were supposed to rotate it to the back but they didn't. Then they told me they couldn't get my hubcap back on, so they left the dirty hubcap in my front seat. They must've been trying to put the hubcap back on after putting the lug nuts on because it's designed so that three of the lugs hold the cap in place and are supposed to be put on after the hubcap is held in place. I fixed it myself as soon as I got home. I haven't had a problem with them before (other than the long wait) but this time wasn't so great. read more

Upon driving into the parking lot of the Discount Tires on Rochester Rd. to have a nail in my tire removed, before I could even turn the engine off and get out of my car, a young man, who identified himself as Brendan approached my driver's side and asked me how he could assist me today. I immediately told him about the nail, and he asked me to wait there, and that he would return in a minute. Within seconds, Brendan was back with his equipment, pulled the nail out, and checked to see that the tire was not losing air. Within minutes, Brendan stated that everything was ok, and thanked me for coming in. When I offered to pay him for his work, Brendan said there was no charge. Discount Tire officials should be extremely proud to have a young professional associate like Brendan on their team. He is certainly an asset. Finally, when I need my tires serviced or new tires, please note that I will be going to the discount Tire location on Rochester Rd. and will recommend that my family and friends do as well. In 2020, I got a new set of tires for my Mazda. I even purchased the extended warranty. I took it back the next year for a rotation. Some tires were worn to the chord. They said there was an alignment problem and would not honor the warranty. I had to buy a new set which I did at my Firestone dealer. I guess the "lifetime satisfaction warranty" is nothing but lip service. This year, I had my teenager take another car in for a tire rotation. They are winter tires I kept on all year. The tires have a ton of tread on them. They tried so hard to sell her a new set saying 1-they were too old, 2-if we got summer tires, the winter ones will last longer. They used to be my go to place, but I no longer trust them. read more

I know that the pandemic has been hard on businesses and specifically their workforce. But, I don't think that gives associates or managers the freedom to blatantly ignore customers. I've been standing here for TEN minutes, with three people behind me also waiting, to simply be acknowledged. John, the manager, walked in from the bay and didn't acknowledge me. For five minutes he worked at the computer and then walked back out past me; again not acknowledging me. He returned again and this time there are two more customers behind me. He didn't acknowledge any of us but instead answered the phone and rather than put them on hold to interact with me proceeded to talk to them. He then left AGAIN and sent in another associate who wound up helping me. At this point I didn't even want to ask for a discount. So I was quoted $500 for two tires and two sensors. After finally getting them to order and install the tires in my past review, I discovered that the valve stems they installed were too short and made it very difficult to check/fill the air. When I called to mention this, the manager at that time kindly explained to me that it was my fault! I just laughed. What a bunch of clowns! His rationale didn't make any logical sense. This past May I caught myself back in there looking for another set of tires. I cannot understand for the life of me why people come to this place. Their prices and selection are outrageous. It's akin to telling a child; "you can either have the peas or the broccoli" in the sense that they appear to give the customer the choice, when in fact the choices are horrible. The customers have no idea with it presented to them this way and feel like they are making an "informed decision." I ended up just ordering a set myself, at almost 60% less than what Discount quoted me and had a competitor install them when they got here. Two employees said they would be with me but both decided to answer the phone calls instead while I stood there for 15 minutes. This location always has such poor service. Yesterday around 6:30 pm I brought my car - I figured i would just drop off the keys in the morning. I see an employee outside & I'm like do you want my keys i was going to drop them off tomorrow. He's like yeah I'll be with u in a minute. 15 minutes later he calls me in complaining about me dropping off the car. I'm like i said i would bring them tomorrow ... Anyways, he's like do you have an appointment for tomorrow? I'm like no sorry, i usually just drop it off but no rush, i don't need it tomorrow. He proceeds to say well "it's new policy that you need an appointment, but it's not really new policy" like ok which is it? Anyways, I'm like NBD I can wait a few days. He's like i have an apt tomorrow at 3. I'm like ok cool.. fast forward till today. He calls me around 11:00am, talking about how my alignment is off metal is sticking out & how i need both rear tires replaced. (I had them both replaced in June 2019 from discount tire). I'm like I only want the rear passenger side replaced. After he insisted it was my alignment & i need both tires replaced I finally was like I ONLY WANT ONE TIRE REPLACED. Then he says it should be ready in 30 minutes. But i didn't hear from them again, so a few hours later I'm like hey just wondering if my car is ready? He quickly jumps goes "i just talked to you i said it'll be ready in 30 minutes so i didn't call you again" I'm like ok, no big deal, you said should, thought you would have called. It was 11:30, my appointment was at 3 and he was so adamant about sticking to the appointments. Went in to pick up the car, heard them tell another female customer the same exact thing (until she called her husband) while i waited for 20 minutes behind them. Insanely rude and am done with discount tire. I am here every winter getting at least 2 new tires on one of our vehicles, but I'll go elsewhere. I went there for a tire patch. I had 3:30 appointment and I didn't leave until 5:30. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they may have been understaffed. It would be nice if they notified you of the wait time. There was a girl with long blonde hair that worked on my tire. She is very good at her job and she hustles. She was very nice and informative about the wear on my tires. Whatever she is getting paid, I'm sure it's not enough. read more

So not ever going to this location My appt was 4:00 when I made my appt I was told it would be a 1 hr appt. I arrived at 3:30/3:35 I waited about 10 -15 minutes to get checked in. I was told My car would be ready in about 1 hour. At 4:30 I asked when would my car be taken in and was told I was up next. My car was not taken in till 5:00 I did not leave till 5:35. I worked 6 days, Saturdays is straight through, no break. This location so needs to work on time management.Plus sitting there for more than1.5 hour I listened to many complaints this location recieved either phone calls or in person complaints. read more

After a poor experience at the hall road location, I was able to make an appointment online the same day to bring my car in to have the TPMS looked at. It took less than an hour for them to check all of my sensors to find the faulty one and replace it. To top it off, the sensor replacement was on sale. Ok, so I knew my tires were bad and needed replacing. I figured that doing anything about it over the summer wouldn't help, so I put it off until the winter because that's when the real bad weather sets in. About a week and a half ago, I noticed that I had a really low tire, and decided to go get it looked at. Ended up having a nail in it, and decided to come here after work. I've been to Discount tire before, but mostly their Arizona locations since I lived out there for so long. This location's the closest to my house. I checked them out online and stopped in. I came here for my tire patch at 5PM on a weekday, and was in and out before the store closed at 6. I was impressed with the fact that even though the lobby was busy, I was in and out in less then an hour. So I came back this morning to get 4 new tires for my car. They had some really good promotions online, but I ended up going with a set of BF Goodrich. I ended up spending a little under $600 and that's with the tire insurance, tax and disposal fee included. The cool part about this store is that I love how clean it is. No filth or dirt, considering that what these guys do is no joke. Also, they had a coffee stand that I hit up, along with free newspapers. The bathrooms were well stocked and in great shape as well. Staff here is professional, and I felt good about my purchase after I left. Guess what else is cool? My car, on a Saturday morning none the less, was done in the hour that they promised. I was anticipating sitting here for hours! I swear, back in the day it felt like these type things would take half a day. Not here! Here's another thing I like about Discount tire. I was cruising their website, and you can tire shop online, and even place an order and make an appointment at the store of your choice. I was even able to check stock! Now, your thinking, who cares about checking stock? ME! Why? Because who wants to drive all the way to a tire store, get in there, and find out that they don't' have the tires you need, so you have to drive to another location and deal with that crowd? I sat in my pajamas this morning and made sure they had them available before they even opened. I also went home and checked online again at their site because I couldn't remember if my tires qualified for one of their visa card rebates online. Funny enough the tire stock is live! When I left the house this morning, there were 5 of my tires in stock at the Rochester Store, and when I got home to look at my rebate, I noticed there was one left! BOOM! Awesome! Very hip people, very hip! I'm a fan of Discount and will be back in the future! read more

This Discount Tire does a fine job of installing the tires. Very professional, quick, no complaints on that front. What bothers me is that I needed to replace a tire because of an irreparable damage, and it is well known that both tires on the same axle should be changed. You can find this information on many reliable websites. The problem is that they really try to talk you into replacing all four tires, even though there is nothing wrong with the other two tires, and plenty of tread left. NHTSA says it is OK to replace just two tires on the same axle (if it is not an all-wheel drive vehicle), and yet Discount Tire tries to up you to replacing all four. I appreciate that they would like to make more money by selling you four tires rather than two, but I think they would do more business by being honest and trustworthy. They also try to sell you their insurance, which statistically is never a good deal. You should only take out insurance for major losses - your house, your car, etc. read more

I called and asked if I should make an appointment, which they told me no just come in and they'll take care of me.. I come in immediately after the phone call to find out I now have to leave my car here and it's a 2 and a half hour wait! So much for them taking care of it right away. Omg I went yeaterday to get a flat repaired. The salesman inspected my car. Upon return he stated that the tires on my car where the wrong sizes. Note they are brand new. And continued to try to sell me a new set. Refusing to fix my flat. Note i walk with a cane im handicapped senior citizen. I was in schock howva simple nail in my tire turned into a high pressure sale. I asked for my keys back and left. Went to a private tire store who fixed my flat for 15.00 no pressure very friendly service. Consumer beware of this ho pressure scam. read more

I have been a customer of Discount Tire for a long time and to me there is no better place to go for tire service. I find the people at this location to always be nice, forthright, and willing to help you out. Their wait times are typically always long without an appointment, but so goes business when you provide good service. I've always seen them treat all customers with same kind demeanor, regardless of the others person's attitude is (especially as it seems people don't like to have to come there or that they don't want to hear what they are being told). I visited this location to have routine service done. I needed a tire rotation and I was experiencing an issue with one of my tires losing air. Upon inspecting the troubled tire, the technician informed me that the chrome wheel that tire was on had a lot of corrosion on it (where the tire meets the wheel). He explained that it's a common issue with chrome wheels. I had no problem with this explanation. I did have a problem with the fact that he told me I needed to purchase new rims. I declined the sales pitch. The technician then told me that he would "clean the wheel up" the best he could. Over the next couple of weeks, I noticed that the air pressure in that tire was decreasing significantly. I had to refill the tire with air every couple of days. I took the wheel to a different tire retailer and they removed the tire. I looked at the wheel and nothing was done to it. It was obvious that the Discount Tire technician had not even taken a wire brush to the wheel to remove any of the corrosion. He did not even recommend that I take it to a repair shop to have the corrosion removed. There were no alternatives besides buying new wheels. All is well now that the alternate tire retailer cleaned up the wheel. I will have to do this every few months, but at least I saved a few hundred bucks in the process. read more
