Been using this location for years. Always have had a good experience, always had great selections at very good prices. Good value all the way around. Noticed a front tire on my 2007 Tundra was looking a bit squishy, so went online to Discount Tire's website to research replacement. Even though it had been about five years, it still had my truck info to draw on, and I was able to quickly pick what I wanted and set up the appointment. Notifications and emails provided good two way commo, and I even got an offer to come in even earlier, if I wanted. The morning of my appointment, I received a phone call confirming, and was asked vehicle/colour info. When I pulled up Joshua was walking across the lot, obviously waiting for me. He checked out my tires and confirmed the work to be done. I had forgotten to ask about checking my spare. When I asked, he looked up under the truck, confirmed it needed attention as well, and picked which current tire mounted would be best to replace the spare, based on condition and age. Went to lunch, got a notification when the truck was ready, all in all, took about an hour. When I went to pick it up, they were notably busier, but I still saw their people walking around the lot giving other customers personal attention and advice. A fast, efficient, friendly business that has always delivered top notch care! Getting auto work done is one of my least favorite things, so I appreciate a business that makes it as painless as possible! read more

I came after I was off and before they were closing they helped me out , patching my tire, replacing my good tire with the spare I had put on, and then my spare back to it's under carriage spot. Where do I begin. 8/2024 I brought my 2023 camero to get new tires because it has racing tires when I bought it. I told them that I want my tires back. Lee the man that helped me put all over the ticket that customer wanted tires back. Well they say they accidentally throw them in the bin and the truck picked them up. I was very upset because as I said they were racing tires. So after expressing my displeasure they ended up giving another set of tires but not the same as the first set. Well here it is almost a year and 16,000 miles later and they are telling me that my tires I bought a year ago had tread depth of 3/32. I could not believe it. So during this appt I kept saying I had to have my car back by 1 even after bringing the 2nd set of tires to them and here I am at 1:36 and the car is still not pulled in. I am missing work and have a meeting at 2:15. I am sorry to say that these people do not look out for the customer. I got scrappy tires that only lasted 16,000 miles. Made an appt and I did what they said I needed to do and they would get it out in an hour and almost 2 hrs later I am still waiting. And I have to PAY for all of this. All I can say is I better not be late for my meeting. I do NOT recommend this store. They do not look out for thier customers. UPDATE: Fernando waived the install of my new tires. Thank you for that but it is ashame that any of this happened. I will not be returning. read more

These guys are the best! I've had 2 new vehicles where the sidewall was punctured due to a nail. Both times I was told by everyone else I needed to pay for a new tire, full price, no options given. These guys actually called the tire manufacturer and got them to give me a credit for my tire. **The manufacturer doesn't always do it, and everyone's situation is different, so it may not work for everyone's situation** All I'm saying is they try everything to help their customers! This issue should have been completed Friday at discount tire in Pflugerville , but I needed another appointment to clear it up. Thank You So Much to The Staff in Temple..you always take care of me!! This is the history of this needed stop : On Friday at Discount Tire in Pflugerville. Tire replacement. I didn't make an appointment since I was in the area on another errand. The tire that was damaged was in the rear of my car along with the tire cover. My spare sits under my car. The tire was not repairable, so it was replaced along with the lugs. Couple hundred dollars lighter, I felt confident all was well. That was until I got home and prepared to unload the groceries from my curbside pickup. My mouth agape under my groceries sat the huge, grossly dirty spare tire cover. The tire is brand new, and the removed the damaged tire from underneath the spare tire cover. This makes me doubt the product, the work and the staff. Granted it's not a huge problem except in terms of time to have it reinstalled. It does leave a bad taste in a customers mouth. To the Temple Discount Tire, that I'm waiting at to have the cover to the spare reinstalled, Thank You Hugely!! read more

Unfortunately this is the closest tire/tire service shop near me. If you have time to wait 2-3 hours, even with an appointment scheduled, then this is the shop for you. The staff is friendly, I will give them that. However the wait times are absolutely ridiculous, even for small tasks. Prices are ridiculous as well. read more

My wife took her car there to get her wheels balanced on her Mercedes dropped it off and went to pick it up and the car was parked on the curb bumper was pushed up grabbed the manager to show him the damage he said they would take care of it to use there people took it in for an estimate, waited for there insurance people took call us they said they were not at fault and would not pay for the damages, found out though the body shop rat they us that they have a lot of claims out on them for damaging other customers vehicles they have young kids that work there with no experience on working on vehicles just bad business and I will never use them again. I came in asking for a wheel balance and rotation. They refused, and tried to sell me new tires. My tires still had about 40% life left and were wearing evenly. I purchased the tires on the car at a different Discount Tire location, and they came with free balances and rotations. This location was unable to present the record of that even though I found all the paperwork at home. It is my experience that this store is running a scam to sell tires to people when they are not needed and to deny customers free services that come with the tires. I will never go back to this location for any of my 3 family vehicles and would advise others to find a different tire store. read more

Went to Discount Tire and they were able to check everything and was glad to hear no issues with tires but did need new wiper blades. In about a little over an hour I was back on the road!! I got checked in and paid for my tires, and asked if I could leave for food and another errand, given the wait time. My wife went to Discount tire in Temple, TX. this morning to get a nail removed and a patch put in one of the rear tires on our van. The salesman didn't even look at the tires or the van and immediately refused to remove the nail and patch the tire but instead he told my wife that she needed 4 new tires. I've been a Discount tire customer since the 1980's when I lived near Beaumont, TX. I called another local tire shop just a couple miles down the road and they said to have her bring her van in and they would look at the tire and see if it could be patched. She took the van to their shop, they removed the nail, patched the tire and didn't charge her a single cent! The Discount tire here in Temple could use a visit from corporate HQ to help get the staff's heads removed from their butts and teach them some customer service skills! read more

After a disastrous move, throughout which everything that could go wrong did, an unrepairable flat tire in a new city and state where we haven't even found a home yet, much less made any connections, just added to the pile. Sunday, August 27, 2023 I got a flat on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Willys, and did not have time to replace the spare until today, Saturday, September 2, 2023. The location near home did not have ANY comparable tyres the exact OEM size, but I asked and they found 1 fitting my needs at this location. Having a functional spare will buy me time to budget for replacing all 5 tyres down the road. A functional spare is also important because I do city, highway, and off-road driving. Worked with Kevin, and he went above and beyond for my appointment and future needs. He offered to roll a larger sized tyre out to my Jeep for me to see how much larger it may be. This allowed me the opportunity to see and know first hand the larger size will work. The larger, recommended size is also within the safe operational margins for a stock Jeep, and will be easier to find; the OEM size is an awkward and uncommon size. To me, this is valuable information to help me make an informed decision for my future tyres. Have been a long time Discount Tire customer, but today's experience shows me the added value customers receive when working with them over other service providers. read more

Had a good experience, nothing negative about the people there at all, from who we spoke with on the phone, who rang me up, and who came and gave me an update we're all very friendly and courteous. The only two draw backs I could mention was the bathroom had no paper and I must have seen 5 employees go in there and no one ever did anything about it, and I asked for my old tires that I wanted to keep them and they forgot to give them to me. It was only while driving on my way home my wife asked if I was still keeping them I realized they didn't give me back my old tires. Eddie helped us today at this location. By helped, he took our car at 1pm, said it would be done around 3 but at the latest 4pm. I called at 3:15pm as the tracker hadn't moved to show our car was being worked on yet. Tim answered and told me my car hadn't been worked on yet and that it would be ready by 4. We spent 3 hours in the empty temple mall with my infant waiting around. At 4, the tracker STILL hadn't moved, so we left the mall and walked back over to discount tire. Eddie then was surprised to see us and said "oh they should be taking your car back right now!" And I asked for my keys to leave. He laughed at me and said "ok, but they're taking it back right now." Interesting reaction from what we were told was a new employee. If we had been told "your car is in a queue, it'll be a few hours for sure." Things would've been different. However they gave us a set time, took our car keys so we couldn't do anything else, didn't stick to the time they gave us, and ultimately never serviced our car. We were stared at as we left by multiple employees as if I over-reacted, when all I did was ask for my keys as I had no more time to wait for them. Next time, be honest about your wait times and own up when you mess up instead of blaming your customer as they leave. read more

My front driver side tire area was squeaking so I took it in- they didn't drive it to see the noise they just looked at the tire and said that I definitely needed to replace two of my tires to stop the noise. $350 later and the noise is still there. I go back in and ask one of the guys to come listen. I back up 2 feet and he goes "oh that's for sure your break pads". I ask him why they recommended new tires and he said that none of them are mechanics and he doesn't know what to tell me. However, they have consistently taken about an hour longer than the quoted time (for example, today they told me it would be 1.5 hours but it's already been 2.5 hours and still not complete). After waiting 3 hours I finally got my tires on and went in my way. Come to find out the new wheel they gave me required longer lug nuts that they didn't offer to sell to me. So then I had to go all the way back to town to grab new lug nuts. What could've been a 1.5 hour job turned into an all day event because of this store. My customer was not satisfied with the length of time to complete this service and I was not either. I had a nail embedded in my front tire. I took it to get it fixed at this Discount Store in the late afternoon. Mr Eric said we'll get it repaired or replaced before we closed. However, if it cannot be repaired, it would have to be replaced. The tire was repaired and the car was ready to go 5 minutes before closing time.
