Went to get some air on my front tire and the kid that's does the air on the tires , looks at my tire and said " I can't put air in that tire " He told as well me that he recommended that I not drive on that tire! So I went to Firestone for some air and explained that I was shot down at discount tire and he agreed the tire was a little bad so they installed a new one for $20 . So Mr Discount Tire , if you are going to bring up a problem then be prepared to introduce a solution instead of just pushing the customer away to look for help with his/her tire elsewhere . I went in because I had a nail in my rear passenger side tire. I paid for the roadside hazardous warranty so I went straight to Discount Tire for assistance. The individual at the counter was very rude from the start. I gave him my phone number to look up my account and he couldn't find any record of a purchase so I gave him my address instead and still no luck. I was asked to bring the receipt for proof of purchase and that angered me because I had also purchased tires for my other car just a few weeks prior and also had that under my telephone number but he also did not have record of that purchase either. I could not find the receipt but I remembered during my last two purchases the employee assisting me had everything pulled up on an old phone number so I asked him to update the new number. I went back inside and asked the employee to look up my old number and he did and he found everything listed but it was also with my address too so I don't know why he couldn't verify the purchase with my address. I told the employee that I asked the previous employee that assisted me to do the update and his response was he guesses they didn't do their job. I finally got everything situated but after all that I had to almost a hour for them to patch my tire which is also ridiculous because they are just a tire shop.. Its not like they are doing vehicle repairs or tune ups so what takes so long. read more

Took over 30 min for the guy to wait on 3 ahead of me and when he got to me I told him the amount of air that I wanted and he did not listen and put in 6 pounds less than what I requested, which made it difficult till I got to where I could get the proper amount to handle the load I was going to haul. We live downtown in Dallas, TX and it is so worth it to default our tire/wheel needs to this this location...they deliver the most absolute BEST of customer service everrrr. From the moment we entered, the experience was great. We have a luxury exotic car and I was impressed that the amazing customer service we received was delivered the same to EVERYONE. My husband ordered two rear tires and during that time frame I had a flat and had to get my car towed. Guess what they did for me? It was close to 6:00 p.m. which is when the store closes, told me not to worry and they would not leave me stranded. They put 2 complimentary tires on and charged me $0.00. The entire team here is top class, friendly, knowledgeable, and care of their customers with excellent service that is very difficult to find. Been to plenty of Discount Tires in my life and never had an issue with any of them. This is the first time I've used the Colony location and this too is a legit shop. I needed 4 new tires on my Charger but they didnt have the ones I wanted in stock so the guy ordered them for me. Called me when they came in. Set an appointment and showed up for them to put them on. New tires. Car rides smooth. Good prices as long as you know what you're buying. My only knock is the guy tried to strongarm me into some Pirelli's so I had to demand my brand but other than that it's a good shop. Trustworthy and on time. read more

I give this particular store 2 stars. They did have the tires I wanted in stock (searched online, set up the appointment online). They were very fast. The counter tech looked at the old tires, claimed I had different sizes in the front versus back (not correct, same size front and back, not a good idea to have different sizes with an all wheel drive Audi). No issue, I ordered the same tires. When I went in to pick up the car, they said they broke one of the Audi center caps and ordered a replacement. The tech's comment "we break it, we replace it". Looking at it (it had 2 of the 4 tabs broken), I inspected all of the remaining wheels before leaving the parking lot. I discovered a second center cap was barely on the wheel and this one had 1 missing tab and a second tab barely hanging on. I showed the tech and he said he would order a second cap and call me when it arrived. Two weeks later, no call. I called them and they said they had the 1 cap in. I asked about the second and oh, they forgot. They said they would order it and call me. Two weeks later, no call. I called again and went through the same dance. They again said they would order the center cap. Three weeks later, no call, I went in and yes they had the first cap, said they ordered the second cap which arrived 10 days ago but they only had the 1. They actually claimed I must had picked up the first one. Do not go to this store. I have had the same wheels and center caps on 4 different Audis. I always used them for summer tires and had Discount Tire (in a different state) replace the summer tires (now 5 times). I understand that stuff happens and things break. I can accept that as long as they take responsibility for it and replace what broke. However, I do not accept breaking 2 center caps with a "I'll put this one on and he won't notice" attitude. This tells me if there was a way he could have put both on and try to pass it off, he would. I'll try a different store and hopefully they will have more integrity if they break something. read more

Fair warning, if you want to get your car back the way you dropped it off, I recommend going elsewhere. I dropped off an undamaged car and picked one up with a scuffed front bumper and a damaged clear bra. The shop of course took no responsibility and tried to place the blame on me. These guys should give lessons in customer service. I have been to this location countless times and I've always been pleasantly surprised at their service and turnaround time. You'd think I'd be used to it by now but I'm so trained to think if you get a "please" or "thank you" that's good service. Not here! These guys don't do bare minimum. They are polite, don't treat you like a "dumb girl with car issues" and they are honest about how long the work will take. In fact, I'm usually surprised at how fast I get my car back even when it's busy. I've never seen a bunch of guys just hanging out or wandering inside to the A/C on hot summer days like I do at other garages. My dad has his special tire guys that he's gone to for decades. But I've been there and I don't see the appeal. I'd much rather go here. I know it's a chain but that's not how they make you feel when you walk through the door. And their "go the extra mile" service is why I bought my last set of tires here and will buy my next set here. And for the record, it's not like at Home Depot where you can't get any help unless you're in a skirt. It's been 30 minutes from my service here, and I'm still in awe with their customer service!!! I had flat tires (big screw in my right rear tire), and I didn't even buy these tires from these guys, and Ricard on the phone told me it'll be no charge and there won't be any wait. The service was done in like 10 to 15 minutes, and they were so courteous, professional, without too much sugar coated fakeness all around. The shop was clean and welcoming and all the customers that I've seen coming and going looked happy. I gave $20 tip to Richard, but he gave that to the service person who just worked on my tire without any hesitation. I am so impressed and thankful to these guys! Terrible customer service. I am a business owner and I am shocked a place like this can stay in business. I had my car in for a tire replacement and I literally had to show up at the location to get a response on timeline. These guys don't know how to answer phones apparently. And I think they believe that their customers enjoy the repetitive "on hold" message that they let you listen to while they continue to run their business into the ground. OK, I don't often give a super negative review. I would give this place a negative rating of stars if possible. It only gets a 1-star because I have to give it something to be able to review. Here's the details. I made an appointment and a plan to get 4 tires for a pickup truck I was purchasing long distance and flying into town to pick up. I knew it needed tires. I called 4 days ahead and made an appointment and had then order in the tires that I wanted. A really common Cooper Discoverer AT/3 in a most common size - factory recommended size. They said good and that they would see me there. I get in about an hour early for the appointment and the service writer I am working with lets me know that the tires are not showing there in the computer. He, a bit reluctantly, walks out to the shop to check and see if they got in and didn't get logged to computer. No go. No tires! Four days! NO TIRES! This is in Dallas/Fort Worth not out in the country small town. Now the worst part. The service writer didn't even care. He never, not once, apologized. He tried to find the tires, but could not. He tried to find another store with some and did. It was a store about an hour drive away. He didn't really try but said that no one would approve running them over to his store. I find that absolutely unacceptable! I am in from out of town - called four days in advance - NO TIRES and NO CONCERN on their part. Now the kicker. I get home to Omaha, NE and call the local single location tire store that I have dealt with here. I call after lunch and find that he can get the tires into his store by 3:30 this afternoon. Now the best part! They are $10 less per tire! Now every one and every organization can make a mistake. But to show NO CONCERN at all. To not apologize even in the smallest way. That is unacceptable. I would recommend choosing another store for tires or any service that Discount Tire provides. UPDATE: 8-29-18 I contacted corporate through their web site form. They responded the very next day and wanted to get all the details. A regional manager made the contact. He was very concerned about the negative experience and wanted to express this and try to make it right. But since I already had tires from another place there wasn't much to do. Same day that I heard from the regional manager the store manager called and apologized. He had a couple questions and wanted to confirm who I was working with at the store. They responded well and said they would work on the system. Left a better impression but didn't win me back. Had a previous bad experience, but decided to go again and give them another shot. Still same service where they ignore your request and try and justify it. I bought two tires to replace worn out front tires. Back tires are new with almost 100% tread and were recently rotated from the front to the back. I asked for the new tires to be installed in the front and they said okay. When the vehicle arrived, they were mounted on the back. When I raised the issue, they talk to me like I'm an idiot and talk about needing to put them on the back for emergency maneuverability. The tires have nearly the same tread life. Tires are rotated to have even wear! Since my vehicle is front wheel drive, they naturally wear quicker in the front. By their logic I would never rotate them since the back should always have the most tread for safety . read more

I changed my tires in December at discount tire and driving experience was good with the tires. Recently, I hit a pothole and it slashed my left tire. I went to discount tire and the technician was able to replace my left tire without any delays. They luckily had the tire in stock and replaced it in 20 minutes.
