I will never come back here. I'm convinced they do not want to perform the work, especially if it gets busy. I came here ready to pay for a new tire, considering my front left tire dropped 6 psi in two days. I had previously gone to another location that had seen a nail in my tire and attempted to fix it. The salesman at the front told me they would look into the tire and then we'd talk about a replacement. I watched the guy the whole time. He threw the caps to my tires on the ground and all of nuts/locks/bolts. And when I got my car back, the problematic tire was missing the cap of course. I was told he put the tire under water to see if there were any bubbles and there wasn't so they just brought me my car back regardless. I came to fix the issue. Not for you guys to give me the same response the other place gave me. And on top of that he put air in my other tires except for the problematic one! I would think (out of common sense) if someone was ready to pay for a new tire, wouldn't you want to fulfill what they need? I even asked the guy, isn't that a bit concerning it dropped 6 p and you guys found nothing? And he said yeah a little, but then he went on to blame it on the weather. This place is beyond ridiculous and nothing will make me return. Full of ignorant people! read more

Shame on you! There was a day when Discount Tire was the vision of good for customer service. Customer in front of me... told to hang on by employee while he answers phone...must be someone he knows and I suspect company big wig by the laughing and bragging about being there 6 days a week. Finally, next...he needs tire rotation, it will be 2 hours...so busy with 16 other cars in front of him. BTW...bought service as part of his tire package. My turn...but wait! Guy from repair are comes up...broken wheel well. Ma'am, I'll be right back...both walk off to service area. Customer in next line just bought set of tires (ironically for his wife's car, prematurely due to not rotating ...Hmmmm you know how women are chuckle chuckle...I wonder maybe she didn't have 2 hours to wait??). It'll take about 45 minutes. Me...I step over while docs are printing and ask, how long to get tire fixed? That'll be an hour and 45 minutes.... My opinion....not vision of good and I would never buy my tires or service there read more

TLDR: Replaced Tires, am told I need to replace bent rims. Go to another location to replace rims and find out rims are fine and The Colony location put my tires on unbalanced. Employees were pretty condescending and pushy. I had a tire blowout nearby so I went to Discount tire to get a new one. The employees tell me all my tires are dangerous to drive on from wear. I go ahead and replace all my tires (I drive long distances often, the tires being worn makes sense). They replace the tires, then come back and tell me that I have a bent rim. Bent rims will cause extra wear and ruin the tire quicker so I went ahead and replaced it. They come back AGAIN and tell me "Oh well there are two more rims that are bent and need replaced too. If you don't replace you will feel lots of vibration while driving". I can't afford anything else so I leave. After saving up for a week or two, I go to a different Discount Tire closer to home to replace the other rims. The employees look at my car, and find there is NO BEND IN MY RIMS, they said they are totally good to use. My only problem is the tires are waaaaaay unbalanced, so that's why I feel vibration when driving. So that means, The Colony Discount Tire lied about my rims being bent to try swindling almost $300 out of me! AND they probably put my tires on unbalanced on purpose so I'd feel vibrations and come back to replace the rims. Besides this, the employees were pretty condescending and (obviously) pushy. I will never go to this Discount Tire again, and neither should you. read more

I came to the discount tire location 1st (see my other 5 star review for the Carrollton location) when I went in there were 6 guys behind the counter all talking to one another and completely ignoring me. They were all wearing nice and clean white discount tire shirts so they didn't look like they were the guys that worked putting on the tires, more managerial types. The One guy that was working mumbled hello and said it would be a few minutes. He left the front so I'm just standing waiting listen to the others telling jokes that would not be welcomed in all crowds. I waiting a few more minutes, not a word from the white shirt guys and they finally went into the back office. At that point I was fed up and left. Amazing service. One of my tires was damaged due to my alignment. Discount tire let me borrow a tire for a day until I got my alignment fixed. It was $15 for the day, but they reimbursed me the next day when I came back for new tires. read more

What an experience at discount tire. I was greeted initially when I arrived 15 minutes early, as directed by the website, for my appointment. Alan went to grab the keys and actually ran out to the car to speed up my process. It could be that I was carrying a set of twins by myself or this is just typical for the location which I went. I left 20 minutes after my initial arrival with two tires installed and balanced and rotated. Nothing better than leaving your appointment five minutes after it was initially scheduled and having your car pulled up to the door with your keys in the ignition and door held open for you. Well needed a set of tires for our VW. Did our online shopping and had our homework done. Was greeted again by Michael (Service Advisor who last week rotated our Silverado tires). Remembered me, shook my hand at the desk and off to the races we were. The tire I was looking at was same make as the factory we are replacing. Online showed to be in stock. Well, not in stock today. Could be ordered and on site in 2-4 days. Michael said let me show you this tire. Bottom line, a tire with longer manufacture warranty, a described better and quietier ride (something appreciated on a front wheel drive vehicle). I have owned this make tire before on a sports car and was pleased with performance and handling. Michael said "Gonna make you happy today" and I am. Drive out the door price DOTDP was CHEAPER than VW Dealer and we got a better tire regard to performance characteristics, milage warranty AND road hazard/rotation/balance package to boot.Treated with respect and courtsey, a long lost art anymore. And got a fair deal. I say fair because It's not always about how much I save, although I do shop around. But the deal today got me tires, and Discount Tire The Colony a sale so Michael can make a living and the store atays open. That is why we keep coming back. Thanks DT and Michael. One last thing. First off some background info about myself that applies to this review. as I was treated like an idiot by Michael (apparently the manager). That I don't know much about cars and tires, which sorry Michael that is completely incorrect. Background info on myself: I'm knowledgeable in cars myself and have modded 6-7 of different cars I've owned over time. From g35s, z06, gtos, the famous beast n54 335i. I've been modding my vehicles, lowering them with coils and putting crazy offsets and stretched tires growing up. All different kind of things that easily gives me a good understanding on car knowledge. So I'm no stranger to being a customer of Discount Tire and how this stuff works. Nothing with this car I brought in though because it's daily that I drive 40k+ miles on easily a year. I wrote this because it pertains to how I was treated by Michael, (the manager apparently, which sucks for this place.) Anyways back to the review. I would like to state I wish you could leave a negative star for the piss poor customer service I received. I got my driver side tire replaced here just within the last a week or two. The tire was flat and I brought it in with a spare on. They replaced it no problem. Left the store fine with no TPMS light like it should be. Anyways after about 24 hours of driving. The tpms light came back flashing a few times saying "check system". Which off the bat means there is something wrong with the sensor. Rather than reading, "low tire" Just for my safety though I pull over check all my tires and they're reading the correct pressure. I call the discount tire and explain the issue I'm having. Also, I'm going to be out of town and busy with work and moving homes at the same time and might take me a while to come in. He said- no problem you come see us or any discount tire they will look at it and see if the which sensor is not reading to see first off if it is the tire we replaced and second is it because your sensor happened to go bad or if it got damaged by the technician. Now, here is where I get upset by the way getting treated from the minute of walking in. When I arrive to this store. I was greeted by this guy name Michael, who apparently was the manager, even though he's wearing a black technicians shirt. Usually, they were a Button down one but whatever he claims we was the manager, which isn't something you lie about so he probably is and just maybe had to were techs outfit and safety glasses that day, who knows. Sad for this place that he is though because this guy was either have a rough day or doesn't understand customer service very well. Anyways, after I told him the problem, which he kind of cut me off before I was fully finished -- He said yup that's common for Lexus because their TPMS light doesn't reset. First time I have ever heard that. I told him about my brother being in the car business for the past 4-5 years so I would of probably heard that by now, but okay maybe not whatever. When I told him this, he immediately shut my down by saying-- Yeah but he's not a DT tire technician. Like lol ok, just because neither of us work at DT doesn't mean we have an understanding how these things work. Anyways, he proceeded to say that yes, he has to take the tire off and check. However, at this point from the way I was being treated and from him acting like I am unknowledgeable and almost trying to make me feel stupid about how these sensors work because I'm not a technician for DT and neither is my brother. And after all this back and forth who knows if he was going to be honest about if the sensor was their fault or not. I said no thanks, since you guys are a nationwide store all DT would honor this issue. I am going to take to the location that the dealership me brother works at sends easily 50+ cars to a month. Why didn't I do this in the first place? Well, unfortunately its a bit farther away for the time schedule I had that day. I use to live 2 minutes away from this Colony location and they also were the ones who installed the tire that's having a problem, so I figured it would be best to take it here but boy was I wrong. Wish I would of avoided wasting my time from the start but oh well lesson learned even if I'm back in this area again for some reason even though I moved farther towards 75 central I am going to avoid it at all costs. read more

Don't believe the "match the competitors" price motto you find on the website. When you get to the store, they will match the price based on the cost of the tire plus the cost of shipping (fair assumption) but then they will proceed to mark up the cost of installation+balance so basically you just lost the value of the "match" you got. They claim they do this because it would "cost more" if you did the installation elsewhere (which is a pile of you know what). I will not trust these guys again. Do yourself a favor: find the best price online and have them ship it to your favorite shop and have them install it. You will save money (including the sales tax). read more

ABOVE AND BEYOND GREAT SERVICE! Discount Tire has always been a great place for me to buy tires but The Colony store went above and beyond on honoring the tire guarantee I purchased with my tires last year. I had a nail in one rear tire which was covered and a slow leak in the other rear tire which was caused by my old chrome wheel. They found the problem, fixed it, and made it so it would probably not happen again anytime soon. This was not even the tire's problem...and no charge because of the guarantee! I bought tires here at this location and went back to get a tire with a slow leak fixed and waited an hour and half. People that came in after me and there cars were going ahead of mine but they were buying new tires so l got put on the back burner. I will never go to this location ever again. Big shop, big and spotless waiting room, lots of help in shop and in store so tires are on and you're back on your way. I had the best experience here! I called ahead thinking I wanted the Michelin tires for my car. They had the tires there the very next day! Upon the arrival of my tires I decided against the Michelin and decided to go a cheaper route. I looked up on tire rack and the tires were indeed cheaper but after calling into Discount Tire and speaking to three very knowledgeable employees (Brandon, Luis, and another gentlemen) they assured me that the best route was to buy from discount for a easier, simpler, and best quality for the tires I wanted. I put $25 down and two days later there they were. I have bought from discount before but this certainly has bought my business forever! I also feel sorry for the ignorant and useless girl who left the review below me who has no idea how to buy tires and/or research them. I've got news for you princess but every car place is closed on sundays!!! It's called they have lives too! Will be back to this discount tire as long as it stands. Peace! read more

July 11,2015 8:06 pm my car had a flat tire close to discount tire. the problem is discount tire closes at 5pm on Saturday which is stupid. and they are closed on sunday so basically this place is worthless. everyday except saturday they close at 6pm. all they do is fix tires which is why they need to extend their store hours. i would recommend you go to sears auto to fix your car because they are open on sunday.i have been here before to fix one of my flat tires and it cost $130 just for one tire. i know tires are expensive but that is too much money for one tire. the first time i came here was 10 months ago and i don't think i bought a good tire. when i got a flat tire in July there was nothing that popped my tire, it just pooped for no reason at all. They looked at my back right tire and there was no nail or anything else that could have flattened my tire. I always get a flat tire when this place is closed. I just might have bad luck. read more

They are right next door to some black guy who manages a car wash full of what it looks like wannabe thugs and he yells at them a lot like they have down syndrome or something. I have used discount tire since 1999 and have used multiple locations. Please don't use the store at The Colony. I wanted to order a set of tires that have mile warranty and they told me that the tires that they ordered have the mile warranty. Once they put them on, I noticed that the warranty is not printed on the receipt. I went back the next day and another associate told me that the tires have mo warranty, so I told him that i asked about the warranty 3 times to two different associate and both of them told me that the tires have warranty. I actually asked it again right before they put the tires on my car and Michael told me it has mile warranty. Also, i noticed that the price that I paid is not the same with the printed price that we agreed on when the tires were ordered. They refuse to refund the difference between the price that they charged me and the price that we agreed on using an excuse that they actually are doing a favor to swap the tires again. First of all, they are the one who incorrectly order the wrong tires. Secondly, they didn't even honor their own printed receipt where it states the price we agreed on. I also have to call them in both occasions to check for the tires even though they told me that they are going to call me. Shane and Michael cannot be trusted. Watch out for them if you decided to visit the store at The Colony. One star is too good for this specific store. read more

I dropped by to see if they could fix a tire losing air. They told me it would be a two and a half 2 1/2 hour wait. They told the customer in front of me it would be a 45 minute wait. Guess it makes a difference whether or not you are buying tires or not. Only reason they get a two star is that I have used them in the past with no problems. Great customer service! I loved being able to make appointment ahead of time online. Only had to review options for new tires when I arrived. Michael, who assisted me, explained an issue with my existing tires (not from them) very well and was able to help me get that taken care of so they could replace my well-worn tires. Prices were much better than others I had researched. Bonus is that they are next to IHOP so you can grab a meal during your short wait. They also text you when the vehicle is done. read more

I went to Discount Tire on a Saturday Morning at 11 am and thought, "OHHHHHHH GREAT!!! The LAST thing I want to be doing on my Saturday morning is sitting in a tire shop getting my tire fixed"! I thought it was going to be a REAL PAIN but it ended up be REAL PAINLESS!!!! The place is tidy and neat, the guys are super friendly and didn't treat me like a clueless girl. They were really BUSY but the guys working were really jumping and got my tire repaired and us on our way before my 2 year old could even get bored and antsy!!!! WOW!!! I had a blowout yesterday on 121 around 5:30. By the time everything was done, and my tire was taken off my truck, it was about 6:40. My boyfriend and I had already looked up the hours for this store and saw they closed at 6, so we were going to go to NTB. As we were driving by Discount, we saw that their garage doors were open, so we thought we would give it a shot. Kenny came to our car, told us they were closed but asked us what we needed done. We told him, and although he looked hesitant (it was 6:45, after all), he said they would take care of it for us! We were so surprised and appreciative (we were not wanting to go to NTB, because we knew it would be way more expensive). Kenny and his crew got us in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. Not only that, but not a single person was rude. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate this store, and especially Kenny, who made a terrible day a little less bad. That guy deserves a raise! We already shopped at discount tire before this, but they have made it so that all of our tire needs will be taken care of exclusively at Discount! Thank you again to this store for helping us out. Bought tires 2 months ago with you...had an issue with another tire...told us we needed all replaced..."not discount tires fault you're car has alignment issues'. Brand new tires worn out in less than 3,000 miles, REALLY? OK? We buy two more for the 'special' MILITARY price because we are a military family (which by the way, is not the best deal!) of $250 b/c this is all we can afford. Wife leaves and almost wrecks in 5 minutes b/c the car is shaking so bad, she makes it back between meetings again only to be told..."Well, (dummy!!! is what she felt they meant) you're other 2 tires need to be replaced! You're car is going to shake until you can make that happen. We will be glad to align and balance them at that time, at this point we can't do anything for you." We went back again today to ask them to just rotate the tires for us b/c at least the car would not shake so bad...'SURE DISCOUNT TIRE SAYS...FOR $75!!! SERIOUSLY! WE DIDN'T ASK YOU TO PUT THE NEW TIRES ON THE BACK IN THE FIRST PLACE! Worst part is you tightened the front tires so bad we spent 2 hours trying to rotate the tires ourselves!!!
