They asked if I had recently replaced the starter, and when I said yes, they informed me that the previous shop had installed a cheap, weak starter that wasn't suited for my specific car. Midas quickly and efficiently replaced it with the proper part, and I could immediately feel the difference. I wish I had come here in the first place! I was pretty much done with my old car at that point, and while I was there, I asked them for advice on car recommendations. Today, while driving, my air pressure light came on for my back tire. I was leaving a doctor's appointment and had my 2 year old with me. I usually will stop at a gas station or I have also gone to Firestone and Discount Tire before to ask someone if they could fill up my tires, so I thought Midas might have also done the same thing and they were closer to me than the other places. When I pulled in, I was trying to see if there was a sign that said "air" or something of the sort. I didn't see anything on the first side, so I drove around. When I didn't see anything on the second side, I put my car in park and got on my phone to see if this was even a service they offered. Before I could find out, a man came out from the office and said "You don't need to be yelling and calling out to my guys in the garage, we are slammed and you're being disrespectful." I was so shocked and confused that I literally looked at the guy for probably a good 10 seconds before I could respond and said "I didn't talk to anyone or say anything to the guys in the garage." The man responded with, "Yea but you're just sitting out here waiting for someone to see what you need when you need to get out of your car and go inside." His tone of voice was so rude and I still could not understand why he was being so hostile towards me. He continued to be rude and said "what do you need?" as if I was ruining his entire day. At that point, I had asked to see a manager and he told me he was the manager (of course), so I responded by saying "f*ck you, I want the corporate number" (not my proudest moment, but like also why be such a prick?? He laughed and went inside. I sat in my car for another 2 minutes just so confused by the whole interaction and pulled around to the front where I found a little side door. I opened it and stood in the doorway and asked him "Why are you being so hateful?" He replied, "Well yea, you told me to f*ck off". I asked him, "How can you possibly think that approaching me the way you did and being so rude when you didn't know what I was doing and assuming that I did something when I didn't was okay and then be shocked when someone tells you to eff off? I don't know if you're just having a bad day, but I was totally fine and had been having a pretty good day until you came out and spoke to me that way." I happened to be on a work call and was ending it and he said " let me know when u are done as I ended the call. " he again proceeded to say park your car and come in when I simply was going to ask how long an inspection would take bc I had knee surgery because getting in and out of my car was very difficult. Mike, the young man at The Colony Midas is always very professional and knows his stuff. A recent problematic check engine light was throwing codes that didn't make sense. Mike pulled up some service bulletins requarding this issue with my trailblazer. He said it could be loose manifold bolts according to the bulletin. He took 10 minutes and tightened them up. He felt confident that was the problem. 4 days later after driving around to reset the computer the check engine light stayed off. Brought it back and it passed with flying colors. Mike is a keeper. $105 for an oil change??? When I dropped off the car they told me $75. When I picked it up $105. What tha.. How?! Be upfront. How about that?? I take synthetic oil - yes. But this is the most I've ever spent on an oil change. And I've had the same car for 8 years now. Anyone else have the same experience? Looked closer at the receipt after the comment back and Midas charged $22 for an oil filter. Went in for an oil change and inspection. The young man who checked me in, and incidentally also checked me in last year for my last inspection, was extremely polite and helpful. Great customer service and extremely prompt. I will be back for future service despite it not being the closest shop to my home. As a side note, you can check out my review of "Honest-1 Auto Care" and their attempt to charge me $1,000 for a brake job. I came here for an oil change and for them to check out a check engine light on my car. The oil change went great and I like the curtesy inspection they do; however, part of my problem and why I wanted them to check the code was I could not put gas in my tank. The sales guy focused on that (understandably) and told me it would be a few hours for them to check it out. They removed the various sensors and check valves following their diagnostic instructions. It took a few hours and when I finally did come back, they told me I needed a new gas tank because the mechanic still couldn't get fuel in the tank. They told me it would be $1300 because they can't order the broken part on its own. This is understandable because I am also a service tech and I know that sometimes parts shouldn't be replaced separately. My problems start here because I took my car from them without doing the repair (I didn't have $1300) I go to fill it up, and I have no issues, despite the salesman telling me the tech still didn't resolve the issue. This made me believe they wanted to push the repair to make a sale, but didn't want to tell me "hey, you can put gas in it now, but we still recommend changing it". *EDIT: I'm not leaking gas. I just checked it out and it seems I'm leaking oil. Not really any better, but I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that they did something wrong. My car only has 40k miles on it so I really shouldn't be having these problems. I'll never buy a Jeep again, that's for sure. I definitely recommend them for a quick (albeit expensive) tune up and regular maintenance, but it doesn't seem they're the best choice for moderate to severe repairs. I bought tires here last year. One has been losing air so I took it in today. The diagnosis was that it was because of a bad patch job. I have never gotten the tires patched. I have never needed a tire patch, had a tire issue, and certainly haven't paid anyone to do so. The answer I received was after informing them of such was that I should have gotten my oil changes done at this location so they could have rotated the tires for me. Yes, I did think I was in the twilight zone, thanks for asking. The implication was that my teenage daughter secretly got it patched without my knowledge. Not in a million years would my child go to such lengths to secretly fix a flat tire or to hide such a thing. I am not quick to anger and she is not afraid to tell me things. A flat tire would not be reason for secrecy. This did not happen. So now the theory is that someone secretly patched my tire while I was sleeping, or without my knowledge (and without cost) when I got a standard oil change. Anything, to avoid the possibility that I was sold a badly plugged tire that was supposed to be new. On a positive note, the staff at this location is very nice and friendly. Even when delivering gaslighting statements regarding culpability. I have learned my lesson. I will have all future auto work checked by another auto place. I hope this helps someone. My mother often used to take her old van to Midas for state inspections. Unfortunately, mother died on 3/11 and I inherited her van; it needed inspection so a couple days later I had Midas do the inspection. On 3/18, I decided to take my Miata to Midas for a simple brake job. I dropped it off at noon and they said they'd look at it later that afternoon. I said I can leave it over night. Late the next morning I had not heard from them so I called. They told me they would have it done about noon. I said I needed the car by 2:30 so I could pick up my grandson from school. They said they'd have it done by 1:00. I arranged to have my neighbor give me a ride. At 1:00 I still had not heard from them, so I called. They said they had the wrong pads but would have the car done by 2:00. My neighbor said he could give me a ride then. At 2:00 I called and they were still not done. My neighbor had to leave so he could not wait. I told them they promised to have the car done in time for me to pick up my grandson. Now I needed them to come get me to get the car when it was done. They said they couldn't do that because they were short handed. After giving them the riot act, they sent someone to get me. When I got the car home, I had no emergency brakes. I called them. They said that had nothing to do with what they did, and they could not look at it until Monday...this was Thursday afternoon. When I brought the car back to them, it took 5 minutes and it was do to something they forgot to do. Oops, so sorry. Then I remembered that it seemed like every year when my mother's van needed inspection, there was always something else that needed work. I wish I had remembered that, but then again, I was a bit emotional because my mother had just died. I will never go back to Midas! read more

It is really annoying that they refuse to put the oil type I requested in my vehicle. They will only put the single type of oil the manufacturer lists. Doesn't matter I own the car. Doesn't matter that I am their customer. Doesn't matter the car isn't under manufacturer warranty. Doesn't matter they aren't in any way warranting the cars performance with said OEM specified oil. So if you are looking for exceptional customer service, or even average customer service, then head somewhere else. It's funny they say they strictly follow the manufacturers recommendations. I guess as the owner of the vehicle, what I need is irrelevant. What if I changed the engine? Installed performance parts that required different oil or fuel? They tried to gouge me thinking I wouldn't question them!!! SCAM ALERT! THEY WILL TRY TO STIFF YOU! I came to this location 3 weeks ago for an oil change and inspection. I get the oil changed and and an inspection for my car. They completed the oil change and inspection and then told me I needed a windshield wiper and that my emergency brakes failed inspection. They Charge me $95.00 to look at it and fix it. They also charged me $22 for the windshield wiper. The tech then comes back and says that my rear calipers won't hold or release, that I need to replace both of them and to possibly need cables as well for another whopping $200+ estimate. I declined those additional services and paid the $210.04 that I'd already agreed to for the day (with the failed inspection). I took my car back to my mechanic who took it apart to look at it (another $75 these a$$e$ cost me) for him to tell me that there was nothing wrong with my car, they were trying to stick me because I'm a woman and to take my car to a place that only does inspections because they were trying to gouge for parts. Following his advice, I took my car to one of those State Inspection only places - I had to pay for another windshield wiper while there because Midas did not put the wiper on that they charged me $22 for, but $340 later a with nothing ever being wrong with the brakes, it did pass inspection the FIRST TIME at the other place. WOMEN ESPECIALLY - AVOID THIS MIDAS!!! They will gouge to push parts. read more

Came here for an oil change and free brake evaluation. I ended up needing new brake pads and rotors! Jared (the manager) was very helpful, informative, patient and wasn't pushy when suggesting services needed for my car. Some places push me to get the high mileage oil change (or only allow that for my car), but Jared gave me the option to go with the standard oil change, which I did. He was able to answer all my questions and was not reluctant to go into further detail to explain everything to me about my brakes. The lady there, however, did not make eye contact, smile, nor bothered to make small talk with customers. She did not bother to acknowledge me even though I stood in front of her when I walked in. Sadly, I think she may be the owner. If I were to review on Jared's performance alone, I would say this place had excellent customer service. Although I spent much more than I planned that day on my brake pads and rotors, Jared helped me see why I had to and I felt confident with my decision to spend the money on the needed services. Do not go to Midas!! Try Brakes Plus instead. Long story short I failed inspection because of a broken tail light. I was told by the worker behind the counter that it would be $260 for Midas to repair the taillight. I hesitated and he added that I could also buy my own part on Amazon or online and then it would be $60 to install. So, I drove and got the part and called Midas to have them install it. A very rude woman on the phone said that it's their policy not to install parts not purchased by them. I explained that I was advised by a Midas to get my own part. She said that's never been their policy and sorry for the "miscommunication". I told her no, that's not a miscommunication that's misinformation. She got very snippy after that and said she had another customer and put me on hold. Another man came on the line who was much more professional, and again tried to explain that they would never install outside parts because 1) they would lose money and 2) the part could be faulty. I told him that's not the issue, it all makes sense, but I was given incorrect information by a worker. I said they need to retrain their staff and I would not be doing business with them again. Every time I've gone there they always either try to overcharge, or I'm given poor service and "miscommunication". These guys are honest and I never feel that they are trying to take advantage of me. They've always given me sound advice on what the best care is for my high mileage (100K+) car. This has become my go-to location for car repair. I have taken my vehicles to them ever since this location opened. They have always been honest and done good work. They do have a diagnostic fee for tracing problems but they have waived or discounted this fee on more than one occasion for me. In one instance, the part needed for my car was not available anywhere. It is no longer manufactured - even by aftermarket companies. These guys went so far as to find the part at one of those pick your part places (junk yard), clean it up, and put it in. I've never had any other service center go that far to get the job done. They also never try to up sell me with needless repairs, and they keep the faulty parts for inspection, though I do that less now since I've had so many repairs done here. Went in the other day to get my oil changed and the staff there was very friendly and they have one of the cleanest facilities for an oil change place that I have ever seen. They were not trying to pressure me into anything they just very informative without trying to shove it down my throat and they are also very thorough in the 17 point check and best of all it was only 19.99!!!!!!
