I've been doing business with Discount Tire out in California for years and this was my first time at this location. The service was fast and excellent and the employees were helpful and cheerful. While I waited they took care of a few other customers and they were all smiles and great attitudes. Had trouble on the website so I went in to the store. I highly recommend doing business at this store and requesting Raul. He was very helpful in ensuring that we selected the right tire for our truck. There were a lot of small details to overcome with regards to towing with the tires we were purchasing. Yesterday morning at 8am I made it to Discount Tire (Ina/Shannon) with a set of fairly new SUV tires, one of them leaking a bit of air. I was told that Discount Tire is repairing leaking tires for free, if they can be repaired. I was on my way to Phoenix and obviously late due to the air leak. It took them one hour to get to my car, which is ok, I didn't have an appointment. Soon after they started looking at my tire, they came back to me and told me that my tire had a bent nail in the tire that damaged the tire at two spots, therefore irreparable. Since replacing one tire is not save, they have quoted me $314 for replacing two tires. So I called Purcell, the place that sold me these tires. They asked me to come over to their shop, which is located on Oracle/Magee. Discount Tire told me that they have removed the nail, so the leak is now faster. I asked Discount Tire if they can put that same tire back on, which they did. I made it to Purcell, they took the tire down within 8 minutes, showed me the nail that was still in place, it caused only one hole, which they fixed for free within about 10 minutes. Shame on you, Discount Tire! You lied to me three times: 1. You said the nail was bent and made two holes. 2. You said the tire was irreparable. 3. You said you removed the nail. But you know what? I'm thankful to you that you did not remove the nail and that you did not puncture the tire with an additional hole. Thank you for that. But the big thank you and heartfelt hug goes to Purcell on Oracle/Magee: Fast and efficient and honest! I will tell all my friends about Purcell! read more

First off, Discount Tire did a great job, thus the 5 star rating. I purchased Michelin 90,000 mile Defender Tires and after 34,000 miles, the tread depth was 2 - 3 and I had to replace them. Like I said, Discount Tire did a great job and did replace them. MICHELIN TIRES ARE NOT WORTH THE PRICE MICHELIN CHARGES! I could have gone with a no name brand and had the same result. I would have saved a couple hundred dollars. Do Not Buy Michelin Tires! Always purchase from Discount. They can't be held responsible for a manufacturer who builds a crappy product (they are highly though of) and a company who won't stand behind their crappy product. The Discount Tire store at 3960 W. Ina Rd. Tucson,Az. 85741 has lost my business! They act as if they are the only business who sell tires. Not too long ago I had a bad experience at that discount tire store and I called the corporate office and complained, well they had the manager from that store call me and afterwords ever since then I have been treated poorly every time I go into that store, they must of put down that I'm a complainer or something not so good on their computer. Recently I did an online order and set up an appointment, I called the store to verify to make sure they had the tires in stock the guy told me that I couldn't set the appointment today that he would have to order the tires that they were not in stock and it would take several days for them to get into the store, well after hanging up with that guy I called another discount tire store and did the same order with no issues and same tires would be at store next business day! I bet if corporate were to not pay bonuses to the managers and not give out Carnival Cruise line trips to every top selling store but only to stores with good reviews, that would change people's behaviors!! As far as their work goes, discount does a great job with what they do. As far as them not listening to what you say to them, they are even better. Discount gets the job done but having come here a few times for various reasons and being told on the phone it's one price then coming in and it being higher and the wait time is longer than promised just gives you a headache. That is soon to turn into a blistering one after you deal with them giving you an even higher price because they added something you didn't want. Overall they are great at their trade but as far as customer care goes, I give them two stars. read more

Had 4 new All-Terrains put on my truck yesterday. We realized one of tires was slightly out of balance so we brought it back today. Yesterday I had 4 new tires put on the Jeep. Good ones too. The next day I walk out to the garage, and boom, flat tire. Not only did the great folks at Discount Tire say they would handle it, a man named Fernando came out to my home, took the defective tire, tested it, and brought it back and mounted it for me! We typically go to firestone for all of our tire needs, however I recently discovered my wife's vehicle was missing a lug-nut. Typically this would be no big deal but I discovered that it was a special aftermarket lug that I could not find elsewhere including firestone. We went to discount for the first time and In About 5 minutes they replaced the lug. The surprise came when they told us that there would be no charge for the lug or any of their time. I know a lug nut isn't a huge deal but I really appreciated their help and I was impressed that they took care of us completely for free. Discount Tire at Ina and Shannon: They are really a good business. There were customers waiting before 8:00 when they opened. When they opened they came out and I guess the manager said to the customers "I've kept track of how you came in" and they called customers as they pulled into the parking lot before 8. I was last of the 5 there, but if I had been first, I would have been glad that they kept track. Anytime we've done business with this location, it's always been very pleasant. This is about the Tanque Verde location.When I called today, I asked when would be a good time to get a tire fixed. He said, "Now." Very friendly and attentive staff. They fixed the tire and brought it out uninflated to show me the monster crack along the edge and said he didn't feel comfortable putting it back on the car without showing me. Thank you! I got two new ones, and as they should, they put the good back tires on the front and the new ones in back. My total time there was about 45 minutes.
