I have bought two complete sets of tires from them this year (8 total). One set for a Toyota Corolla and a set for a Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V. Both times I didn't wait very long for the work to be done, the prices are good, and they did a good job balancing in both instances and I appreciate they used sticker weights. They also replaced my valve stems and cleaned my wheels for me. You can also see their work area and they torque the wheels correctly and seem very professional and respectful towards people's vehicles. The Corolla and Spec-V are very different cars and take very different tires and I am happy with performance of both purchases. In both cases I replaced Goodyear Eagle tires and the new tires feel like upgrades in both cases. These tires are smooth and quiet (I have less road/tire noise in the vehicles). I also asked them to put the best of my old tires in the trunk because I intend to pick up another wheel and replace the temporary spare with a full sized spare as I travel out of state. They told me when I get the wheel to bring the old tire and wheel in and they'd just go ahead and mount my "new" spare for me quick. I really appreciate the customer service and I have another vehicle that needs tires for inspection and I will be back for 4 more tires. read more

I have to write a review because of the exemplary customer service that I received at Discount Tire in Williamsburg, VA! As soon as I pulled up I was met with a huge smile (awesome mustache) and immediately assisted before I even walked into the building. I could tell right off of the bat that Matt was a Veteran so I knew they would be providing the best. I'm used to west coast customer service, with smiles and genuine concern. The experiences I've had since residing in Virginia have been a major culture and social shock to me, and I'm not used to people who don't have smiles or ask about your day. But this Discount Tire changed that! Every single one of these guys were busting their butts and made it a point to smile, talk to my little one and I, ask about my day and just overall provide amazing service. The amazing techs found a couple of nails and screws in my tires (someone has it out for me) and fixed everything up for free. I think every company in the Newport News and surrounding areas, should take a couple of lessons from these guys. I felt like I was back in AZ with kind humans again! Started shopping on line and after making a selection and setting up an appointment received a phone call about 2 hours later stating that what I had picked out was no longer available and that only 2 were available in the whole Discount empire. I understand, working in retail myself that what is on the Internet does not match up with reality. After selecting and ordering another set a tentative appointment was set pending delivery of the tires and while not all 4 were not delivered on the same day for a Monday installation (again can't fault the local store) finally got them installed today. The installation was quick and efficient, they put a couple of guys on each vehicle and I was out in a tick over 30 min. All the staff were polite and accommodating. The prices are great, but the excellent customer service will have me returning. read more

I had a slow leak in my tire which I mentioned to Marcus while at the local Buggy Bathe. Marcus put air in my tire and recommended I see Brian or Domenic at the Discount Tire, 1508 Richmond Rd., Williamsburg. They had been helpful to Marcus last week. I was not previously a customer, but they looked at my tire and found 2 nails, neither of which was able to have a plug repair. I had a tire in my garage, 35 minutes away, so they put on my "doughnut" and I made the round trip to retrieve the tire. I returned to Discount Tire and they replaced the spare with the tire, returned the spare to the trunk and did not charge me for their service! This is a Veteran Friendly company, and the employees were all very helpful and pleasant. They have a new customer for life. I highly recommend you take any tire business to Discount Tire. read more

Wheather you are a tourist or live in the area, this is the place to go if you have a tire problem. I was greeted BEFORE I even got inside by Ray. We addressed the problem(I ran something over) to see if the tire could be patched. After taking the tire off the rim, I was shown how the puncture was just a bit too big to patch. I was lucky that Discount Tire carried the same brand of tire that I had at a very fair price so I was able to get just one since the others were fairly new. I was in & out in about a half hour to get back to my family vacation. Give them a chance, they will exceed your expectations!!! read more

Three women on vacation 676 miles from home with a nail in one tire and the tire leaking air could have been a nightmare. We had the good fortune to be referred to this business and it made ALL the difference!! Dominic and the staff here put our car on the rack, took the tire off and repaired it, added air and checked the other tires AND I EVEN NOTICED HIM CLEANING THEM...WOW!.... AT NO CHARGE!! I had such a great experience here that I had to review. The staff are so friendly and nice. I made an online appointment to change two tires. Simple and easy. I chose my tires and and paid online. I showed up 15 minutes early and they had my name written on a white board outside to park my car in the garage. They greeted me with a smile and a handshake and took my keys. We were extremely impressed by the service and friendliness of Discount Tire! While vacationing in the area, we had problems with one of the tires on our car losing air. We brought it in to Discount Tire. They not only found a nail in the tire and fixed it, but also checked all of our other tires to make sure they were ok. After being brushed off by NTB where I bought my tires when trying to replace a damaged tire with an almost new tire I also bought from NTB I went to Discount Tire on Richmond Rd. in Williamsburg, VA. They inspected my replacement tire to insure it met their safety standards and put it on for $19.00 in less than 30 minutes. Awesome service! Great customer service! I felt like the air kept slowly coming out of my tire. I thought they just had to fill it up but apparently the barrel was bent. They fixed it for free.
