Another rim repair shop in Chesapeake quoted me $260 to repair the damage, and that was a complete ripoff, especially since a brand new rim would only cost $215. The woman who I dealt with, she quoted me $150 and 3 days to pick it up. That's crazy fast, especially since that other shop said it'll probably take up to 2 weeks to fix. Luckily for me, I wasn't going fast and the damage to the rim was minor and a relatively easy fix. I picked up the fixed rim the following week and it was a job well done! After the dents express people and paint touch up guys, I called alloy wheel at the recommendation of my trusted mechanical guys. Bottom line is that they did exactly what I needed/wanted, quickly and for a very reasonable cost. I had awful curb rash on all the factory OEMs not to mention a few gouges on the spokes. AWS sent the mobile unit to my office and repaired and painted all 4 wheels in about 3 1/2 hours. I am amazed at how thoroughly the rash was ground put and smoothed over. One could never tell it was there. The paint matched the BMW original color perfectly. It was also consistently and evenly applied. They did not remove the tires for this job so the work was necessarily limited to what you could see on the exterior of the wheel. A more thorough job, or a complete color change, would have to go to Richmond I was told. I wasn't up for that so I opted for this more limited effort. Also, I was a little surprised that the wheels were not as thoroughly cleaned as I would have expected. Some nooks and crannies appeared to have brake dust remaining. I plan to remove the wheels and clean them myself and will know better what the situation is in that regard and how that might have affected my opinion of the work. But all in all, for the cost and convenience, I was pretty satisfied.

When you pull in, there's an "Air Check" area near the service stations where you can park to have your tires checked without getting out of your car. As soon as I arrived, there wasn't anyone in line so I was hoping it would be a quick service. While I waited, one of the staff came over to the car to let me know that they would be able to service me in a moment. After waiting about 15 mins, I called the store to let them know I was waiting and was told that they were short staffed that day, which was the reason for the delay. Unfortunately, I waited another 5-10 minutes before being serviced but the staff were very nice and thanked me for waiting. Even though only one tire had low pressure, he checked all of my tires, which I appreciated. I love that Discount Tire offers the free, tire pressure service. It's super convenient and it helps people like me not have to worry about putting air in their tire on their own lol! It's normally a quick service, so if your tire pressure is low, definitely stop in!

If you need a single replacement wheel, you're out of luck--they force you to buy an entire new set. They also don't carry replacement center caps. When you try to call them to sort out an issue, they give you grief and will literally hang up the phone on you. This has happened to us several times now. Buyer beware. I cannot recommend doing business with Tire House. We regularly order wheel sets from them to sell at our shop, and every time we need help with a customer's order, it turns into a headache. Their customer service is terrible. They absolutely refuse to sell single replacement wheels--insisting we buy a full set of four instead--and they don't even carry replacement center caps for their own products. The absolute worst part is the attitude. We've had their staff hang up the phone on us when we were simply trying to resolve an issue. This hasn't just happened once; it's a recurring problem. They charged me $30 to look at t and provided an a free vehicle look over on other things. They let me know that it was indeed leaking and found an additional leak. They sent me a quote and I was flabbergasted at the price. The first original leak repair was quoted for $2,700. They did find another leak that would cost me an additional $1500 to repair . Way more than I was planning. I talked to a gearhead at my work and he said absolutely do not pay that. He said they do this to women, unfortunately. I talked to two other local shops who quoted me for everything on the original repair for $800 and $1100. Those quotes were for everything 17th Street was going to do for $2,700. I hate that companies do this. The icing on the cake was that when I drove my car home, I popped the hood and they didn't even attach the cover to the motor. It was just laying cockeyed on the top. It makes me question what else they didn't reinstall after looking over my car.

When I returned, they replaced only one front rotor under warranty. After a third visit for the same braking noise/vibration, I was told the problem was my rear brakes, even though those had been replaced only three months earlier at another shop. I then went to three independent shops, and all confirmed the real issue was a warped front rotor (the one not replaced the second time I brought it in). This should've been fixed the second or third time I brought it in. Instead they shifted blame to another shop, in which their work was confirmed to be fine. And for the price I paid, I shouldn't have had to bring it in multiple times for the same issue. Still after three visits and over $1,300 spent, my issue was still not properly fixed. The only good thing about this experience was that it was under warranty, and another shop was able to fix my brakes properly. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting this shop, and if possible save your time and go elsewhere.

I had a piece of metal in my tire that I couldn't patch and they were able to replace it for free since I had bought a whole new set last year and had the insurance for them. They expressed their concerns with me using a 13 year old donut tire (oops) and it gave me the opportunity to make an informed decision to buy a new full size spare without it feeling pushy. They also worked with my budget which I am so grateful for. The wait wasn't too long but in that timeframe I watched them treat everyone who walked in that door like someone they already knew.
