I have collected Edaville souvenirs and memorabilia for as long as I could remember and I don't wanna say that I'm a train enthusiast, but my career is ON a railroad. I was seriously delighted to hear that the KRF group was going to tackle keeping the Christmas season alive at Edaville! Before our visit, a lot of the local pages on Facebook had naysayers and doubters, and I took the reins trying to be positive: "If it wasn't for the KRF group, there would be no Edaville, since the previous owner gave up and sold off all of the rides." With all that said, we visited with an open heart and mind, and were sadly, completely underwhelmed. Yes, I did notice there were more lights around the park -more so than the last few years. I thought that the giant Christmas tree just beyond the entrance was quite lovely. And, I hate to say it, but that's the end of what delighted me. The shops from the last few years were missing (Hippie Pilgrim, the antiques, the hand painted ornaments,) and the only shops to visit (and there were so few) were those also featured during the renaissance faire. To be honest, some of those shops featured Christmas items, but mostly, it was confusing and completely underwhelming. To call anything on the advertising and Edaville ticket pages a "Merry Marketplace" was quite deceiving. The Jingle Bar, advertised as 21+, was fun and festive but it was crowded with children. And the thing that really disappointed me the most? PortaPotties! It was 33° and I know the Venue has bathroom facilities! To make people use outdoor, frigid cold toilets and cold water is downright cruel! To charge $28 for a visit that doesn't include a train ride, to shop in 10-15 shops featuring old English provisions, and to pee in a PortaPotty, is a crime.

If you are a Fan of those Pirate movies then you've got to experience the Real Thing! The tour combines fun interesting facts about the history of Boston plus they show you many points of interests both past & present still standing in the city. They even throw in some Pirate stories as well like Sam Bellamy & The Widdah. The crew is all dressed in Pirate attire so you really get the whole Pirate experience. We had Captain Mckinnon & Captain Mead. Both Kids & Adults will like this nautical adventure in the 7 Seas. They even let the kids help hoist the sails. This is Great to put on a future resume - Yup I helped sail a Pirate Ship. LOL! It gets chilly on the seas so bring an extra jacket. They also have Free Blankets they pass out if you're cold. You'll pass by The TD Garden, The Zakim Bridge, The Old North Church, The Seaport Area, Legal Seafood, The Rebook Headquarters, Logan Airport, The Charleston Navy Yard, The USS Constitution & many other sites. You'll definitely get heads a turning cruising in the Pirate Ship by other boaters along the route who will give you a wave. There is a rest room below the deck. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

A lot of reviews talk about the uncomfortable chairs, hot sun, etc. I have no idea what they were talking about because we rented a cabana that was comfortable and very clean. Outside of that were tons of tables and comfortable chairs and loungers WITH UMBRELLAS. Don't like the lines at the snack bars? They have tons of waiters and waitresses taking orders and delivering your food to you! There were seven of us that came and from children to adults, all enjoyed it. The expectations that people have for this place are unreasonable! ALL of the information about what to expect - from socks and requirements to prices for food and admission - it's all there. The place is only opened for a few months and have a huge staff, so of course you have to pay for that! Our experience was amazing and we all look forward to going again next year, maybe for two nights. My ONLY SUGGESTION would be to keep the inflatable park open a bit longer, even into October. My grandkids loved it but it was soooo hot they couldn't really feel comfortable. All in all, some of the complaints on here are ridiculous and issues could have been eliminated If they had just done their homework! Thanks for a great celebration for my birthday! Though we enjoyed the one in New York too, this location minimized the sort of underwhelming initial areas and focuses much more on an open-concept space with multiple activities and building rooms. While my kids are too old for Duplo, it was really nice to see a strong focus on the larger blocks to involve younger kids in the experience. We enjoyed the laser maze activity, even though it was hardly a maze at all. It would have been nice if there was a staff person supervising the activity though - there seemed to be a great deal of confusion with how it was supposed to work. We figured it out largely by seeing others do it incorrectly. Otherwise everything was great - the kids loved the VR game, the building activities, and the impressive pre-built LEGO creations.

There are movies every 1-2 hours, several sections where kids can build and interact with legos and an entire station to make mini figures. We loved the ride too! The best part was hands down the workshop though- we had 30 mins of a curated micro build and we both had the best time- the master builder was kind, and encouraged creativity while giving lots of structure. You definitely do not need any add ons (the basic ticket is sufficient for all these fun activities! ). Will definitely come back for any other special occasion!

I found out the train ride isn't running due to repairs of an Italian restaurant so they had to remove the tracks but I was told it will be back, like maybe next year. So you go on a boat ride on the lake, or you take a ride on top of the lake for a breathtaking view on the Sky Ride, go on the merry go round, the Ferris wheel, get wet on the Boston Tea Party. So much to do! The people working here are helpful and friendly. So if you haven't been to Canobie Lake Park in Salem NH, put it on your list to do this summer.

First off, charging $20 for parking is already frustrating--but what makes it worse is that they don't even check or monitor vehicles after charging you. It feels like an unnecessary fee with no real purpose. Then there's the water park. At around $100 per person, you'd expect a comfortable and enjoyable experience, but instead it was extremely overcrowded. It was hard to actually enjoy anything because of how packed everything was. The food is another issue--very overpriced for what you get. You end up spending way more than expected just to feed your family. One of the worst parts was the check-in process for the water park. We waited about 30 minutes just to get wristbands. That's unacceptable, especially when you've already paid so much. There should absolutely be a better system in place--like separate lines for hotel guests and day pass visitors to make things move faster. Overall, the experience did not match the price at all. Between the extra fees, long waits, and overcrowding, I don't think I will be going there again.
